Capítulo 1085: Chapter 69: Entangled Struggle

Shi Ao’s actions increasingly confird the Soul God’s suspicions, causing a more pronounced smile to appear at the corner of his mouth.

“What? Did I guess correctly?”

Faced with the Soul God’s probing, Shi Ao’s face hardened, and he then spoke in a low voice, “With here, you cannot kill him.”

“Heh.” At this mont, the Soul God’s mood beca even more cheerful. Initially, his fundantal struggle with Shi Ao was to prevent Shi Ao from sealing off the entire continent and trapping his escape route, so he was forced to counterattack and fight against Shi Ao, resisting his actions to seal the continent.

Although he curbed Shi Ao’s attempt to seal the continent, the Soul God still wasn’t completely confident about escaping from Shi Ao’s grip because even a lesser version of the Lion Vault Saint Emperor was still overwhelmingly powerful, and he had no chance against Shi Ao at his full strength.

But now, upon testing Shi Ao’s current predicant, the situation imdiately took a dramatic turn.

The Soul God no longer needed to constantly think about killing Lu Hong. Even if he did nothing to Lu Hong now, he had already successfully restrained Shi Ao. At their level of combat, a diversion could significantly impact one’s fighting capability.

Therefore, the Soul God no longer worried about being defeated in a short ti. Even if the summoning skill consud minimal energy, it still imposed a burden on its caster, a burden that would eventually reach its limit.

In other words, the Soul God could outlast Lu Hong until he exhausted his strength, unable to sustain the summoning against Shi Ao, thereby removing the threat Shi Ao posed to him. At that point, how could rely two humans harm him?

Shi Ao understood the Soul God’s thoughts but could not gamble, could not risk the Soul God unexpectedly targeting Lu Hong.

Therefore, he had to bring down the opponent as quickly as possible.

With this realization, Shi Ao no longer held back, as his overwhelming intent to kill transford into a sky full of bloody rain, dropping bit by bit, exuding a myriad of sharp killing intentions, tearing towards the Soul God.

The Soul God, now under attack, naturally wasn’t going to give in easily. His body was ruthlessly sliced by the sharp killing intent, oozing black blood.

But the next second, the Soul God took a deep breath, and his originally human-sized body suddenly expanded, also transforming into a Sky-reaching Giant, swatting with his massive hand to scatter the bloody rain summoned by Shi Ao in the sky.

“Roar!”

Shi Ao let out a furious roar, his lion body suddenly pouncing towards the Soul God.

Facing the attacking Shi Ao, the Soul God lifted his hand and made a gesture.

A long spear, ink-black all over, fell into his hand; with the spear in hand, the Soul God erupted with the unparalleled montum he once had as the Divine Lord.

“Kill!”

The Soul God shouted, twirling the long spear, and imdiately engaged in fierce combat with Shi Ao.

Each collision between the two caused the earth to shatter and the heavens to thunder.

This terrifying clash also had a significant impact on Lu Hong and Old Ha.

Of course, not just them, even those surrounding Divine Lords who besieged the two also suffered greatly.

Moreover, compared to Lu Hong and Old Ha, these Divine Lords who received instructions made no move to defend against the impact of the Soul God’s and Shi Ao’s clash.

After three consecutive waves of shocks, these Divine Lords were shaken until blood flowed from their seven apertures, suffering grave internal injuries.

Their actions beca more sluggish.

The threat had already decreased to its lowest point.

Lu Hong imdiately acted, smashing the heads of two of his opponents completely.

On Old Ha’s side, he took advantage of their weakness, unleashing the Power of Soul to completely shred the controlled souls of these Divine Lords.

However, before the two could catch their breath, Old Ha seed to sense sothing and suddenly used his power to fling Lu Hong away.

The next second, a worm with a massive mouth erged from the ground, biting where Lu Hong had just been.

Lu Hong responded quickly, unleashing his Bloodline Power, striking with a punch at the worm that had suddenly erged.

The imnse force of the punch landed on the worm, but it caused no damage, only eliciting a sharp, strange shriek from its mouth-like face.

Before Lu Hong could react further, Old Ha sensed movent from the underground.

“Get out of the way!” Old Ha shouted, then smashed a punch toward the ground.

Booming!

Accompanied by explosive Power of Soul, the ground imdiately sunk by a hundred ters.

Although these worms were disgusting, they nonetheless possessed souls, making Old Ha’s attack effective.

A single punch slaughtered the hundreds of worms targeting Lu Hong underground.

As Shi Ao battled the Soul God, he naturally noticed the sudden crisis and threat appearing on Lu Hong’s side as well.

Indeed, this was the Soul God’s stronghold. Perhaps only he knew how many hidden dangers were lurking on this continent.

Since this place was fraught with peril…

Shi Ao’s eyes flashed, and his massive body leaped high, slamming down fiercely towards the Soul God.

The Soul God naturally sensed the enormous pressure from this body and instinctively chose to dodge.

However, in the instant after retreating, the Soul God seed to think of sothing.

“Don’t even think about it!” Having figured out Shi Ao’s intention, the Soul God ceased retreating and advanced instead, his spear moving like a dragon, fiercely stabbing toward the falling lion’s body.

“Since you won’t dodge, then perish!” Shi Ao let out a thunderous roar, blood light surging around him.

The two forces collided once again, like a cot striking the ground, the violent montum shredding everything around.

Not far away, Lu Hong and Old Ha watched with hair standing on end; Old Ha reacted swiftly, pulling Lu Hong to quickly escape, narrowly avoiding the terrifying shockwave.

As the rubble and dust settled.

Shi Ao’s massive form erged, whereas the Soul God was already half-sunk into the ground, blood flowing from the corners of his mouth, his aura significantly weaker than before.

“It seems Shi Ao won.” Upon seeing this, Lu Hong breathed a sigh of relief. If it weren’t for his ability to summon Shi Ao, faced with the Soul God, he and Old Ha would likely not last three moves before eting their demise here.

This was the combat power of the Soul God, barely a fraction of its forr glory? Damn it, those Divine Lords of the Primordial Era, how overwhelmingly powerful must they have been? That era was truly a ti teeming with gods and demons, whereas the later generations he belonged to were indeed incredibly weak.

Even an existence as strong as Shi Ao was sealed by a coalition of Human Race Divine Lords. The Primordial Era’s Human Race Divine Lords must have been a thousand, no, ten thousand tis stronger than the current Heavenly Realm gods with the title of Divine Lords.

Upon hearing Lu Hong’s words, Old Ha shook his head slightly: “It’s a double loss; take a closer look at Shi Ao’s abdon.”

Hearing this, Lu Hong looked closely. If not for Old Ha’s specific ntion, he would have indeed missed it—a spear had wholly penetrated Shi Ao’s body, leaving only a small tip visible.

Although Shi Ao’s body was enormous, the spear summoned by the Soul God was continuously extraordinary.

A spear like that, wholly embedded in Shi Ao’s body, must have caused him imnse pain, especially since the spear carried Divine Power from the Soul God, which would undoubtedly wreak considerable havoc once inside Shi Ao’s body.

It seems Old Ha’s analysis was correct; this is a mutual spell-off, and it’s unclear who might have the upper hand.

“Should we go up and help?” Lu Hong asked once again.

Old Ha shook his head slightly: “Going up now ans certain death, and since Shi Ao was summoned by you, you mustn’t be put in danger. Let’s observe and wait for a true mutually destructive state; when they’ve exhausted their powers, that will be our mont to strike.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Hong kept silent, turning instead to stare quietly at Shi Ao in front of him.

It took a mont before Shi Ao regained his composure, grinning at the half-alive Soul God: “I never thought you, old thing, would dare to fight to the death with ?”

Hearing Shi Ao’s mockery, the Soul God first coughed repeatedly, spitting out mouthfuls of blood, then retorted, “Heh, your body has been pierced by . Don’t you feel the Soul Power injected into your body gnawing at your flesh, consuming your soul? Rest assured, this pain won’t last long; you’re not far from death!”

“Just that little bit of Soul Power, and you think you can annihilate my soul? Are you overestimating your abilities?” Shi Ao sneered coldly, then moved his body, raising his massive lion paw high, ready to slam down once more on the Soul God’s head.

If this strike landed on the Soul God, the opponent’s head would undoubtedly burst like a waterlon.
