Chapter 659: Let’s March into Our City!

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

The city!

After the Grand Reaper was defeated by the Fallen Angels, there were no other powerful creatures standing in their path in completing the city. Everything went on smoothly, without any further incidents.

Everyone was focused on grinding the oncoming specters again and again for Experience Points as the city was being built brick by brick. Slowly, under the protection of the eager players, the first human city in the Underworld had finally been built.

Now, there were countless n surrounding the mighty city.

After hearing the news about the wonderful leveling spot from the Five Leagues, the players had all flocked over as quickly as they could. There were new players who had recently advanced to Level 50, the players who were close to the Fallen Angels League. Everyone had now traveled to the Underworld to witness this historical mont.

Over three hundred thousand players had gathered around this city.

This great scene was recorded as videos and uploaded onto the official forum of “Honor and Glory”. High Tier players were all overwheld by excitent after witnessing this.

In the anti, the Demon Faction players, especially Maverick Vatican and Satan’s Salvation, had also comnced Project Pioneer while watching all of these on the forum. To them, Project Pioneer was easy as pie.

***

At 10 pm on the eighth day since the Fallen Angels first comnced Project Pioneer.

As blue flas slowly cloaked the city walls, a strikingly gorgeous city was finally completed by the Artisans within. All of this took a whopping seven days!

As soon as the entire city was being enveloped by the blue flas, like Edgar’s barrier cloaking his camp, the specters surrounding the city started to diminish in number. The players who had been guarding the defense lines could feel that the Undead’s attacks were becoming weaker and weaker. The Elentalists could see, via their Elental Perception, that so gaps had started to appear amongst the Undead Hordes’ formations.

The Undead Horde’s reinforcent was diminishing by the minute as the Skeletal Dragons and Vampires turned tail and retreated from the area.

This long battle was finally ending.

***

The airborne specters had mostly retreated.

About three minutes later, the players who were guarding the defense lines could finally see parts of the sky that were blocked by the airborne Undead Horde.

After a few more AoE magic spells, the specters outside of the defense lines were almost eliminated. Although there were a few more specters flocking over because so players were still flying in the sky with their Angelic Wings stretched out, it was like moths rushing into the fire, there were basically no other threat looming around the city anymore.

Seeing this, the players on the ground started to retreat from the frontline. They turned toward the city and watched the blue-fla barrier sparkle around the city walls—they didn’t want to miss the chance to witness the historical mont of the completion of the first human city in the Underworld.

In the anti, the airborne players too had flown over with their Angelic Wings and flying pets, observing the completion of the city below.

Then, four pillars of blue flas suddenly danced around in the sky, forming a huge circle. At the sa ti, various Elents too had started congregating toward the blue fla.

The blue fla and the Elents fused together and trembled above the city, sending waves and waves of Mana outward! Then, the huge blue-fla circle swiftly dropped a powerful wave of Mana from the sky, encasing the mighty city.

In an instant, the city vanished under everyone’s nose. What was left were just hundreds of blue flas hovering in the sky.

The spectating players’ jaws dropped as they witnessed a huge city disappear before their eyes.

“Huh?”

“The heck? The city’s disappeared?!”

Looking at the hovering blue flas, countless players cried out in confusion...

Of course, Qin Ruo and the players who were familiar with the Underworld were not surprised to see this.

Setting up a camp or city in the Underworld would definitely attract endless waves of Undead Hordes.

The Fallen Angels had only handled the ordinary Undead Hordes that were attacking them in that seven-day period... if the attacks kept coming, who knew what other kinds of super powerful specters would co knocking their gates? There could be more specters that were more powerful than the Liches coming their way. Perhaps, there could be several more Divine Specters that were stronger than the Grand Reaper slowly inching toward their mighty city.

If the city was openly seen by the specters, they would keep coming to siege the city and it would be a matter of ti before the powerhouses of the Underworld took notice of this city and reduce it to rubles.

These blue flas, these were Qin Ruo’s counter-asure to shift the specters’ attention. In fact, many Champions in the Mythical Continent had thought of the sa thod after seeing Qin Ruo bringing the ashes of Evildoer back to the rcenary Guild.

Using Mana Cores, Qin Ruo and his companions could create a massive stealth barrier and hide their city, keeping it out of specters’ sight.

This was the only way for a human city to survive in the Underworld.

This was the only way for humans to acquire a fighting chance in defeating Hades’ forces in the Underworld.

***

“The Fallen Angels League has successfully completed Project Pioneer!”

Within seconds after the city was hidden by the barrier, a loud system ssage was heard by every player in the Underworld. No... it was heard by everyone in the Mythical Continent too!

In an instant, every player who was online was shocked and excited by this system ssage.

The players who were fighting monsters in leveling grounds, hunting for treasures in dungeons, shopping in markets... they had all stopped tending to their tasks at hand...

“Damn!”

A Berserker was cursing loudly as he struck down a specter in the Buried City.

“I knew it! I should have joined the Fallen Angels when I had the chance. F*cking hell! Look at our Clan now. We have less than 2,000 n and we don’t even have 80% of our mbers coming online at the mont. And look at them! They’re a League with over fifty thousand people! And they’ve got more than 95% mbers online!”

“95%? Are you blind?”

Another passer-by threw him a glare and corrected him.

The Berserker was shocked after hearing this and quickly summoned the system to check. And there it was—the glaring 99% online mbers of the Fallen Angels League.

“F*cking hell!!!”

The Berserker couldn’t help but sigh deeply after barking out a loud curse.

“Why didn’t I join the Fallen Angels back then?”

“The Fallen Angels has spent an entire week in the Underworld. By now, they should have acquired at least three levels. Heck, they probably had gotten four more levels! And look at ! I’ve been slaying these garbage for two days and yet I haven’t even leveled up once! And not only that, there are other rascals who keep coming and steal-kill my prey!”

“Oh, for f*ck’s sake.”

His companion nearby couldn’t help but roll his eyes at him.

“You’re just Level 46. Even if you’re in the Fallen Angels League, you can’t even enter the Underworld. Now stop daydreaming and get back to level grinding. Go! Lure so specters over. Quickly.”

“F*ck.”

The Berserker threw his hands in the air and continued complaining.

“Why are we training here anyway? Getting Experience Points here is so slow. I quit.”

“Quit? Are you sure? Alright, there are a few more Warriors in the Clan waiting for this spot.”

Hearing this, the Berserker picked up his weapon and dashed into one of the “civilian buildings” nearby to lure the specters.

He still needed to get to Level 50. There was no way he was going to quit now.

***

anwhile, in the Demon Faction...

The system ssage that announced the success of the Fallen Angels was also heard by every Demon Faction player who was online at the ti. They felt as though a heavy burden had been dropped on their heads after hearing that.

Everyone in the Demon Faction felt a grim woe in their hearts...

The Demon Faction’s Five Leagues were defeated by the Angel Faction every single ti they launched a strike at Qin Ruo’s city construction site.

This was unheard of.

Back then, the Demon Faction was always the one rising to the top. No one could survive their wrath.

Yet...

Sohow, things had changed.

Sin City was sieged.

The Demon Faction’s Leagues had their Honor Points wiped clean as a result.

And then, every single Veteran Champion in their faction was defeated in the Grand Champion, completely humiliated by the Angel Faction.

And now...

Right after the City Building System went online, the Angel Faction was able to be the faction that built a city in the Underworld first.

Not only that, the Demon Faction had started to lose their foothold on the Top Level Leaderboard too. More and more players from the Angel Faction had started to rise up to replace them.

This was especially true for the Fallen Angels League—there were many Level 53 and 54 players erging from their League, pushing the Level 50 Demon Faction players to the bottom of the Leaderboard.

Qin Ruo, Hom Fatale, and other Veteran Champions in the League had even reached Level 57 and squeezed into the Top Five places in the Leaderboard too.

The Top One and Second—Savior and Sinistress were at Level 58.

At this rate, the Fallen Angels, who had acquired a base of operations in the Underworld could soon rise up and take over the Top Rankings in Leaderboard entirely.

Now, the Demon Faction players could only hope that they could rely on Maverick Vatican and Satan’s Salvation that had comnced Project Pioneer earlier.

If they could acquire the sa advantage as the Fallen Angels, they might still be able to stand their ground and protect their ego.

***

As everyone in the Mythical Continent was reacting to the news of Fallen Angels owning a city, loud cheers echoed in the Underworld!

“Every Fallen Angels League mber had been rewarded with 10 Honor Points!”

“The four Clan Leaders of the Fallen Angels League had been rewarded with 30 Reputation Points!”

“The League Leader of the Fallen Angels League had been rewarded with 100 Reputation Points!”

The loud system ssages were heard loud and clear by every Fallen Angel at the scene.

Qin Ruo and the other four Clan Leaders were overjoyed when they heard the first ssage.

10 Honor Points!

They had over 500,000 mbers in the League... the Fallen Angels League had acquired a whopping 500,000 Honor Points at one go!

The Fallen Angels were able to take the Top One spot on the Honor Point Leaderboard, with a total of over 2,300,000 Honor Points—surpassing Netherspirit’s Claw by a million points! In an instant, the Netherspirit’s Claw was now Number Two on the Leaderboard...

Qin Ruo was so happy that he couldn’t stop smiling.

“Hehe!”

“Now, we don’t have to worry about Honor Points anymore.”

Nonetheless...

Despite all these, the best reward they had earned from this ga quest was the mighty city! Their own city!

Realizing this, Qin Ruo let out a long loud cry, demanding his n to settle down. Then, he looked at the eager eyes under his command and loudly proclaid, “My brothers! Let us march into the city! Our City!!”

Hundreds of Winged Champions flew up into the sky and tagged behind Qin Ruo as he led his mighty army, marching into that blue-fla “barrier”.
