A dark shadow cleared away from Alex's body as he turned around, his leg was still bleeding, and his head was also slightly bleeding, but his eyes alone were enough to chase a wolf away and the aura he excluded was darkness.
Even Alex's friends were afraid of him at that mont and lissa opened her eyes.
She could see different foots close to her head but she was still in pain and had trouble standing oh her feet, the skill she used was too powerful that she had to prepare in advance before using the skill, but she couldn't watch Alex get killed.
She raised her head up and she could hear the ghoul screaming in anger, and all of them were looking in one direction, lissa turned her head and saw Alex, but that wasn't the Alex she knew.
The ghoul charged toward Alex in anger to finish him off, but the shadow that covered his body enveloped him once again and he disappeared.
"Huh!! what just..." Gabriel mumbled as Alex vanished right in front of them.
"Where did he...the back" Max mumbled as Alex was already at the back of the ghoul.
As soon as Alex disappeared the ghoul stopped and was surprised at Alex's ability but he had no ti to stare in space as Alex was already at his back and aiming for the one thing that could help the ghoul the most.
The ghoul shrike in pain as both of its wings fell off, the ghoul knew Alex was behind him and quickly turned around swinging its left claw but Alex had already taken a step back.
"How is he able to move like that?" Lynx asked.
"I don't know, do we need to help him or what?" Max asked.
"I thought he was injured," Rebecca said.
"He's injured, why would you let him fight on his own!!" lissa thought she shouted but it ca out as a mumble and the rest of them finally noticed she was awake.
"You are awake, are you okay?" Gabriel asked.
"I'm fine, you guys should help Alex" she spoke.
"I don't think he needs our help" Gabriel spoke and they looked at Alex.
He already had the ghoul on his knees with both of his daggers in his hands, the shadow cleared from Alex's body again and he stood in front of the ghoul ready to finish it off.
"Arrrrghhhh..."
The ghoul scread with its last strength and Alex angrily slashed the ghoul's throat and it fell to the ground, Alex used his inspect skill to check the ghoul's HP and it was still alive with more than 40 HP left but it was pretending to be dead.
Alex smiled and pierced the back of the ghoul with his demon blade, the part where its wings were before Alex cut them off.
With a smile on his face, he walked towards his friends, his eyes were still dark and Rebecca couldn't help but back away a little.
"Alex, are you alright?" Gabriel asked.
"I'm fine, just a little bleeding, and the ghoul is not dead, it's pretending to be dead, but it'll be dead soon anyway so nothing to worry about, since we got all the leaves we should prepare to leave," Alex said.
"Alex, how did you get so powerful and what are those shadows covering your body?" Max asked.
"That's the thing we don't understand, this isn't a ga anymore, the powers we were given are now part of us but we are still acting like this is still Nova Online, you can increase your strength and power by yourself," Alex said.
>THUD!!<
Loud footsteps and growls echoed throughout the forest and the group knew what was coming, now that the greater ghoul is on the ground the rest of the ghouls were coming.
The group saw them earlier and they were more than 100, but that was just an estimate.
"We need to move, we need to run away!!" Lynx shouted.
"Alex let's move," Gabriel said.
"We can't beat them, running is the best option, we already have what we ca for," lissa said as they turned around but Alex faced the ghoul with a smile on his face.
"Alex, what are you doing?" Gabriel asked.
"Isn't it fun when your opponents are this much" Alex laughed.
"Has he lost his mind" Lynx shouted.
"Alex we need to..." Before Max could finish speaking the shadow covered Alex again and he disappeared.
"Where did he..." lissa stopped as Alex was already in front of the first ghoul, they were still far away but Alex already covered the distance.
In one hand was his blood dagger and in the other hand was one of his steel dagger, with a swift swing the head of the first ghoul fell to the ground.
"He's already fighting, what do we do?" Max asked.
"Let's fight," Gabriel said as he opened his inventory and brought out a potion, "Magic boost" Gabriel smiled.
"Are you guys serious?" Lynx asked.
"Even if we ran the ghoul would probably follow us, and we are humans so we'll definitely get tired and when we do we wouldn't be in the best condition to fight but now is different," lissa said.
"Well then since we are doing this, I should probably reveal my big gun," Lynx said as he brought out the dual flintlock he stole from the arena, it had limited bullets but the reloading ti was shorter.
"Alex take cover" lissa shouted as she faced her bow forward.
"What are you doing?" Gabriel asked but lissa pointed her bow to the sky and fired an arrow upward.
"What was that for, is that an opening act?" Lynx asked with laughter in his voice.
"We can go now," lissa said as a bright light shone in the sky.
>SWOOSH!!<
The arrow lissa fired dropped to the ground hitting none of them but imdiately raining sounds followed as thousands of arrows fell from the sky.
