My na is Ezekiel.
An in-ga na that I thought was cool.
It was different. Pretty Iconic, not gonna lie.
But this na, which has beco a part of my daily life as much as my own real na, Mikael, wasn't sothing that I thought of on a whim.
Oh! Not at all.
It had a story behind it.
Or to be honest.
A person behind it.
Still the sa as last ti, huh? Good!
A smile ford on my face. It deepened into my expression and impressed upon every facial muscle that I had.
I looked around the empty hallway filled with tombs and mausoleums.
The never-ending lines of tombs, as if they stretched into infinity, were overwhelming. Long enough to dizzy those with a weak heart. Makes one lose sense of direction if they are not careful enough.
It was important to note that each of these tombs held a story, a legacy. A gift that a player can get if they match the desires of those who reside in them.
These were the legacies of the heroes once lost, people who had given their entire lives to protect what they loved and, once upon a ti, died with glory and pride.
As for the legacy itself, it could be anything.
From the ability to use fire better, to have the tricks to understand a certain weapon more fundantally, it had almost everything, and everything one can ask for.
Although it also ca with a trial that one had to pass before they could even think about taking that legacy with them. And what's even more unfortunate is that one person can only have a single legacy with them, which, if they failed to do so, would be pushed out of the legacy room forever and ever. And I an, all the legacy rooms that ever existed in Arcadia, including this, and the 7 others.
It was written in the rules just outside the cetery.
Oh! Wait!
I was talking about my na, wasn't I?
Sorry. Got lost in the talking.
Anyways, the na Ezekiel cos from an NPC known as Typh Ezekiel.
Typh Ezekiel was a painter. Or to be precise, a drear.
He loved dreaming and then bringing his ideas into the real world. Sotis, he would do it through paintings. Sotis, it would be through scriptures, and more often than not, he would write it out. If that doesn't work, he would go on to explain everything in detail by himself.
That was his origin story before he ca into the Ancient Temple of Ti.
He appeared as a wanderer, telling stories about himself and those he had heard during his travels. Fascinating enough, he not only told the stories about the mortals but also about the demons, the monsters and more often than not, about the folklore of the gods.
The people of the temple loved him for his stories, giving him a place in the temple in exchange for one beautiful story a week.
Because the God of Ti was a neutral God, its followers did not mind whether the story ca from the demons or the angels. As long as it was good, they wanted to hear it.
They wanted to know how the demon hero saved his village from the evil mortals, they wanted to know about the undead monsters protecting the villages, and they wanted to know about the good angels killing the disgusting monsters.
Typh Ezekiel had never seen a place like this before.
This place where he did not need to worry about his words, nor think before he spoke about the demons or the angels. It made him happy, made him feel like ho.
So he settled here.
Becoming a priest in the Temple, he worshipped the God of Ti just like the others, and in the anti, practised his own magic. Taking the blessing of the God of neutrality, he began developing his skills such that he was able to shape illusions of everything he desired to show.
It gave his stories a new foundation, sothing that changed the way he told and what he saw. Now, he can show everyone what he witnessed first-hand; recreating what he had seen with his own eyes.
This man then went on to improve his magic so much that it started mimicking realities. By the blessing of the God of Ti, he was able to recreate so of the mories and bring out powers that should normally only exist in folktales. Or perhaps should not exist at all.
His legends began spreading throughout the entire land as the guy who rewrites realities. The one that changes fates and redefines destinies.
But the real legend, the one I loved and admired, was the one that stated his kindness.
How he went from place to place, finding people, demons and even monsters, helping them out of their misery irrespective of their race, origins or deeds. If you are in trouble, he will help you out.
For him, kindness was his second nature. And even if the entire world had turned against you, he would be there, helping you out. Saving you from your own misery.
When I first ca here, I had read through each slab to find out the one that was perfect for . A legacy that exactly suited .
Though honestly, the more I looked, the more confusing it got.
It wasn't that none of the legacies suited , but the fact that almost every one did in so way.
So increased the physical powers, while others helped increase my mana, or affinity.
It was a hard choice to make.
But in my previous life, as I searched more and more, I sohow ended up reaching a point where I stumbled upon the legacy tomb of this man.
Unlike the others, which had a whole ass character written on them, it had only a few words written in it.
[Kind] [Humble] [Loved to Imagine]
And below it were a few words of description on how he was content with everything he had done in his life. Sothing that was far different from everyone else who had a dying wish left to be completed.
It sohow clicked with .
Firstly, the na.
Secondly, the fact that this place wouldn't just place a normal person inside here with a legacy.
Lastly, sothing related to him being fully content with his life.
All right. Let's search for it. I mumbled with a smile as I walked through the area, searching for the tomb according to what my mory served.
As I walked through the area, searching for Typh's na, I ca across a pattern that allowed to guess the direction of the tomb that I was searching for. It was the fact that the tombs were all arranged in Alphabetical order in the ancient language.
That complex language, which could go easily in seven directions, was spread through infinity along the nas of this area. And despite having various ways to go about the tomb, it was kind of easy to search for the one tomb that I was looking for.
In fact, having seven directions only ant that there were seven different ways to get to that na.
"Let's hope this is the shortest path," I sighed as I knew that the longest would take ages, while the middle ones at least months before I reach that certain tomb. In any case, I continued walking for a long ti, at least a few hours, before I finally saw the pattern of nas reaching closer and closer to Typh.
Within the next few minutes, I stood in front of that tomb.
[Typh Ezekiel]
[Here lies the Tomb of a Man who once spread kindness to the world. For he, who loved peace more than anyone, protected everyone, irrespective of their caste, creed or origin. For all this man loved was protecting. And he lived, as he died, with peace in his mind, content with what he had done in his living.]
[Character: Kind; Humble; Loved to Imagine.]
A smile ford on my face as I looked at the description, exactly the sa as the last ti. Despite knowing that it was still here, it made giddy on the inside, happy to find it once again.
And it wasn't because I wanted this Legacy. In fact, the Legacy was an added bonus to this. The real thing that made happy was that I could et this man once again, talk to him once again. One of the few people that I could call a teacher in this life.
With a smile on my face, I then imdiately chose this tomb. This place, which felt like ho to , comforted at a ti when I was going through my most desperate situations. The one that saved my life in ways that one could barely imagine.
I touched the tomb delicately, expressing my will to enter as I let myself fall into the pits. And before I could even realise, I was already in a different place.
This one was different from the place that I had been in just a few monts ago. This one was far brighter and rrier than the gloomy atmosphere of the tombs where I was walking.
It was a rose garden.
It was exactly the sa as I rembered it to be.
