Looking at the Boss sleeping there, I first sighed before looking at the flowers that prevented him from exiting from that place. It was the sa immortal boss that took so much of my ti here that I almost quit finishing this quest.
Well, he wasn’t exactly immortal. Just that there are conditions one needs to fulfill before killing him.
And now that we have reached here. I then looked at the zombies slowly rising out of the graves from a distance.
[Immortal Zombie- Marvin Branagh!]
That was all that was written above their head.
No health bar. No description.
Just an empty na that signified that they were impossible to kill.
"Boss," Blaze and Link, probably reaching the sa conclusion, looked at with a puzzled expression.
"Isn’t this a little too many? Are they really unkillable?" Trisha spoke worriedly as she looked at the rising number of Zombies. There were at least 100 of them, slowly walking towards us. Trisha also turned towards , carrying a similar expression to that of Blaze and Link.
G was pretty concentrated on them, while Raven was... well, she seed excited.
There are two ways to finish this. First is to kill the Immortal Zombies by spamming skills at least a hundred tis. At least that’s what I had done last ti, out of desperation, before finding out the correct thod of doing it within the temple.
To bury them and then pray for their eternal life. I pondered as I knew a few prayers, but there were only two instances where I actually used them. One was when my favourite NPC companion died, the other was when a great saint died, and nobody knew how to pray for her.
Both were one of the most morable events in my life.
"We bury them. There should be a na tag on the tombstone. We need to match the na with the tombstone, bury the zombies, and give prayers to their eternal life," I said, making them widen their eyes at it.
The number of zombies reached its maximum, a total of 141, as they slowly circled around us, which made sigh before saying,
"They are immortal, but their levels shouldn’t be too much for us to handle. I believe that if we kill them, they would co back to life, but if we can just cut their legs, then perhaps we can make them immobile."
Hearing , they nodded. Even though a tense expression had taken over their face, traces of excitent were still visible. One could even say that they were sowhat enjoying this situation.
"I’ll take the lead. Trisha and Link, you search for the grave. G and Blaze cover us," Raven spoke before rushing in.
She did not take my na and left to my own devices. It kind of made sad that she didn’t include , but perhaps she just wanted to save my stamina for the boss, or perhaps for other things, such as prayers, that she decided to take in command.
Well. Since I would have given the sa command anyway, I think I don’t need to interfere in this. I concluded before watching from a distance. Prepared in case they needed any help.
Because they were weak zombies, despite being immortal, Raven cut their legs off pretty swiftly before moving to the next zombies. She was trying to be as fast as she could because these zombies were slowly but surely circling around them.
"I found Marvin Branagh!" Link shouted.
"I found Gray Fullbustur!" Trisha followed.
Tracing the na of the zombie, Raven took out two black knives and then marked the two zombies by planting the knives in their backs before continuing to hunt.
Standing at the top of a tree, I saw Raven kiting those zombies around the graveyard while cutting off their legs one at a ti. She was fully utilising her increased stamina and was blissfully smiling as she was cutting off the zombie’s legs. Her eyes glistened each ti she cut one of the zombie’s legs.
Ti passed rather slowly as most of the zombies crawled, with a very few, about 30 of them, remaining standing. Since Raven was out of stamina now, G took her place instead while she rested in the sa tree, where I was.
"Boss! I put that zombie in the grave!" Blaze spoke as he pointed to Marvin’s grave, making nod before I reached there. It was the corner grave, much away from the rest of the crawling zombies who were slowly reaching G’s direction.
"Help bury him," I guided.
"Okay, boss," Blaze answered before happily burying the zombie with the nearby soil.
"Ilea noiea lm eona n aon. alkm. Aofnaon (Oh, the reaper of souls, who guides the fallen to their eternal peace. Co take this soul to salvation, and have rcy on him for his sin was to serve a God whom he loved and cared for)." I prayed with the best of my ability, as if I were praying for my closest kin that I had spent ages living with. Or at least, I tried to pray like that.
Around , the air shook and then circled in rapid successions, forming a small tornado before vanishing completely. And then a bright light shone from the grave, signifying the success of the prayers.
[You have prayed for the deceased!]
[You have prayed for the Salvation of a follower of the Highest Authority of God!]
[You have prayed for a devout believer!]
[You have prayed for a kind soul!]
[You have prayed for the one who follows the true path!]
[Your favourability to the God of Ti has increased by 0.1]
[You have received 5000 Exp!]
Out of the grave flew a white ghost of Marvin. Wearing a white cloth, he floated in the sky, slowly. A joyful and relieved smile presented on his face.
"Orebief," he said before slowly vanishing from my vision.
It ant ’Thank you’ in the Ancient Language.
