( Max's POV )
" Ulrich is hiding on planet Zika, the word on the street is that he has still not fully recuperated from the injuries that Vega inflicted on him and is severely restricted in his movents.
Now might be the best ti to strike and take him down as it would not only boost your own image, but also strike a psychological blow to the enemies " Sebastian suggested as using his network of believers he had completed the mission entrusted by Max to find the werewolf god Ulrich.
Max stroked his chin, wondering if he should perform a solo surprise raid like the ones Dracula launched on vampire planets, or should he go in with a full legion and liberate it from werewolf control in a heroic battle.
Both approaches seed to boost his image, however, he could not be sure as to which would benefit him more.
" Which approach do you think I should take? Solo or Group? " Max asked as Sebastian instantly face-pald himself.
" Is that a question you should even ask as a true coward? If you can win a fight 1000 vs 1, why bother fighting one on one? " Sebastian said in a tone that suggested that he was disappointed that Max even had to ask.
He did not approve of the fools thods of fighting solo and believed in the numbers ga to outplay his opponents.
Just as Max was about to make a joke about Sebastian's group sexual preferences, he heard a rhythmless thumping of footsteps rushing towards his room as he could not discern who was coming towards him at this hour?
As the door barged open, Max was shocked to see that it was Asiva, an individual whose footsteps Max knew by the back of his hand, however, today she seed aggrieved and was crying like the world just ended.
" M- "
Asiva opened her mouth to speak 'Max', but coherent words would not form in her mouth as she just madly rushed and hugged her husband, drowsing his chest in a pool of tears.
Both Max and Sebastian felt their hearts freeze for a mont as they had NEVER seen Asiva this distressed.
Her current appearance was that of a dishevelled woman who had lost everything in life and had completely lost her will to live.
For a few monts, Max spoke nothing and let her sob inconsolably at his chest as he patiently stroked her head and wondered as to what the hell was going on.
" Is Kreth okay? " Max asked, with panic evident in his voice as he understood that the only way Asiva would ever cry as much as she did was if sothing bad happened to Kreth.
His assumption was spot-on too, as the mont Max ntioned their kid, Asiva's sobs only grew more violent, proving Max's worst fears right.
*SHRIEK*
Sebastian shrieked in panic as he clutched his head and crashed on the floor.
He had assud the absolute worst that Kreth Jr was dead and that made him lose his sanity as he was overco with grief.
Max on the other hand had a swirl of emotions erupt in his body where he felt a primal rage wanting to destroy the entire universe.
If anything had happened to his kid, he was not going to spare the perpetrators of his misery, no matter the cost.
" Hey! Hey! Look at - what happened? What happened to our son? " Max asked as he shook Asiva to answer him, however, in an absolutely unfortunate turn of events, Asiva passed out unconscious right there in Max's arms as she seed to have lost the strength to take the emotional burden anymore.
" FUCK " Max cursed as he gently placed Asiva on the floor and stord out of the room to get so much needed urgent answers.
With his killing intent leaking, the destructive aura he carried made even grown palace soldiers piss their pants as they trembled uncontrollably in their armour.
" ANNA! ANNA! JATHI- , SOONE FUCKING ANSWER HERE " Max said as his tone had already surpassed that of a patient man as he creeped closer and closer to losing it as well.
Thankfully, as he stord into a room, he found Naomi, Ruby, Anna, Kartikeya, Jake, Amy and Junior sitting together as tears streaked down the eyes of every woman in the room while the boys would not et his eyes.
" Junior! " Max said affectionately as he hugged his son tightly, his heart calming down as he realised that at least his son wasn't dead.
However, almost imdiately his mind began to assu the other worst outco as he looked around the crying room and wondered if it was his brother who had just lost his life?
" DADA! " Junior said in an almost child-like tone, however, Max paid it no heed at the mont as his mind wandered on more important matters.
" What's going on? Will soone tell why is everyone crying and what exactly happened? " Max said, in an almost pleading voice as an almost heartbroken Sebastian stumbled into the room and had the sa reaction as Max when he saw Junior to be alive and well.
He too rushed inside and hugged the kid, as his worst fears were consoled, however, once his worst fears were subsided he too began wondering as to what was going on?
For five entire minutes, nobody would dare answer Max and would only sob harder and harder as Max's patience began to wear thin.
" Anna….. for the love of God, please tell what happened? If there's sothing wrong I'll fix it, I promise " Max said with as much patience as he could muster as it was clear from his tone that he was on his last straw.
Anna shot a quick look at Ruby, who nodded in approval as she began narrating the tale of what happened in the tri-state tournant finals.
About how the enemy tried to take Kartikeya's life and how in his desperate attempt to save Kartikeya, Rudra accidentally killed Junior and then rescued him but could not do it perfectly.
