As Max walked out of the training hall in his tier9 glory, he was hit with the realisation that this was it.
This was probably going to be the last ti that he ever t his family and his heart felt incredibly heavy at this negative thought.
" Queen…. Gather my family in the throne room" Max said as he slowly walked towards the throne room, soaking in the majesty of the Rajput Capital one last ti.
One after another, spatial portals opened inside the throne room as the queen's avatars escorted all of Max's family mbers to the throne room.
Asiva was the first to arrive with tears dropping out of her eyes while Hazriel was the last one to arrive.
Everyone expected Max to be seated upon his throne since he summoned them all to the throne room, however, Max was seated humbly at the base of the stairs leading to his throne as he proudly looked towards his family with a smile on his face.
" Father….. is it ti already?" Kreth was the first one to ask, as although everyone had judged because of the heavy atmosphere that Max was ready to ascend, however, nobody had the heart to ask him directly.
" Yes, it's ti" Max said, confirming everyone's thoughts as all four of his wives burst out crying.
Regardless of his shitty behaviour, Asiva, Anna, Mira and Hazriel loved Max more than anyone else in the universe and although he was not the perfect husband, they loved him for all his flaws.
Max ascending was a painful event for them and although they had been ntally preparing for this day for months, now that the dreaded mont had finally arrived, they still could not hold their tears.
" Good luck. Uncle, I'll look after the universe well in your absence.
Also, give that bastard who troubled our family twice hell from my side" Kartikeya said as he pumped his fist and bowed politely before Max, wishing him the best of luck.
" If you et Rudra….. tell him that and Ruby miss him dearly….. tell him to take care of himself" Naomi said, as although she behaved as if she held a grudge against Rudra for leaving her alone in the universe, when the ti ca to send him a ssage, her true feelings surfaced.
" We will miss you-" Amy said, as she put a hand over Jake's shoulder who smiled and waved Max goodbye.
" Rest easy old man, I'll follow the path you've set for " Judas said as although he avoided eye contact with Max, he showed his acknowledgent for Max's care.
" I will also follow my heart as you advised" Gopal said as Max smiled and nodded in approval.
" I will take care of mother in your absence and surely beco the next supre lord!" Leah said as she declared her ambitions to which Max chuckled heartily.
" I will wait for your return as well-" Hazriel said as she wiped a tear falling from her eye.
" I- " Mira said before pausing, as although she wanted to say that she would be ready to execute any order that Max had for her she did not, as she realised that her being Max's soulmancer was a secret.
Nonetheless, Max understood what she had to say as he smiled and nodded towards her as well.
" I'll make sure that the Rajput Capital and your precious family never succumbs to infighting in your absence" Anna said as she tried to say words that were encouraging and would lighten Max's mind before departure.
" And I'll make sure that your precious vampires progress as a society" Asiva said with tears rolling down her eyes as she seed to be extrely emotional today.
Finally, as all of his family had bared their hearts before Max. He too decided to talk back to them as he waved his hand and created a small mist of blood that swirled calmly around him.
" Yes, I'm ascending today. However, you've got it wrong-
This is not goodbye" Max said with a smile as he waved his hand and all the blood mist particles converted from being mist to becoming beautiful flowers as they rained upon the Rajput family mbers.
Everyone was astonished by this phenonon, however, Max explained nothing.
" Only after forming my second core did I realise that my strength compared to my own self just a few days ago is incomparable.
I'm much stronger than my brother when he ascended and if with this strength I can't defeat the perfect warrior then I don't think anyone else can.
6 months…..
I'm confident that within 6 months I'll eliminate the only remaining threat to this family and I promise that after that, I'll find a way to return to the controlled universe alongside brother to beco the best husband and father and uncle that we can" Max said with the most honest voice as his genuine smile brightened.
" Today's not a sad day…. Today's not a day for goodbye.
Today is the day I head off to war because I need to co back ho to my family after the enemy is neutralised.
I'm going today, because this separation is ant to end all separations and because this fight is for a happily ever after" Max said as he stood up from the stairs where he was sitting and curled his palm into a fist.
" The perfect warrior has no emotions. There was a ti when I contemplated following him down that path and beco a being who had no feelings.
A lethal killing machine with no weaknesses, however, you people are the reason that I did not.
My family is my greatest strength, it's the one ace that I have that the perfect warrior doesn't and it's because I have a goal of returning to you after defeating him that I'll be able to defeat him, because the stakes for my loss are higher than his.
