( Hazriel's POV )
Once Max ca out of his seclusion and had attended the most pressing affairs that had been piling since his absence, Hazriel confronted her husband to express the issues cluttering her mind.
" Max-" she said in her usual soft voice as she saw how her husband's distracted face suddenly lit up with a smile when he heard her call his na.
Looking towards her with the most loving red eyes, Max replied " Yes, love?" As Hazriel could not help but blush at his antics.
Sotis, Hazriel could not understand how anyone could feel intimidated by Max as when he acted silly he looked the sa as a harmless puppy, however, she had also seen the cruelty those sa red eyes were capable of and hence she knew why his enemies feared him.
Today, she had an important topic to discuss and could not afford to be distracted by his puppy eyes and hence she covered his eyes with her small hands before saying " I have sothing important to ask of you….. please answer in all honesty-"
Max, still smiling pulled her hand away from his eyes and pulled her into his lap as he slowly whispered into her ears " I'm always honest with you"
Hazriel felt sothing pointy poking on her thighs as she suddenly turned red from the neck up.
Max's charm was one of the reasons why she could never stay mad at him for long, however, his frustratingly high sex-drive made it very difficult to hold a serious discussion as whenever she tried to hold him accountable for sothing, Max would usually flip the situation around by trying to arouse her.
However, none of his tricks were going to work on her today, as today she needed so answers from Max, answers that he could not avoid.
" Are you planning to ascend anyti soon?" She asked, her voice laced with sadness as Max's smile was finally wiped off his face as he turned serious.
" Not anyti soon, but in a decade or so if everything goes as planned, may take more, may take less" Max answered in all honesty.
" Okay…." Hazriel nodded, as a decade was a good enough ti period for her.
" Are you sad that I'll be ascending?" Max asked as Hazriel chuckled at his question saying "Ofcourse I am"
" Then would you perhaps prefer that I don't?" Max asked as Hazriel bit her lip and tried to hold in her tears.
" Of Course I'd prefer that you stay here with . That the happy tis we have right now last forever, but I also understand that I can't bind you, you're a free horse who was born to run and unfortunately this universe has beco too small a ho for you.
So it's okay if you ascend, however, I have one small request I wish for you to fulfil before you ascend if that's okay-" Hazriel said as Max skilfully wiped the one tear that was dropping down her cheek and said in a smooth and calming voice " anything you want".
Max did not enjoy leaving his wives behind. If he could he would have all of them ascend with him, but that was not practically possible.
Of Course he too had doubts about ascending, at tis he wondered if he was being too greedy and if he was supposed to just live a retired life from this point onwards, however, that was just not who he was.
His brother was waiting for him in the celestial realm, to beat an opponent who could not be beat.
Max wanted to be the one who surpassed the perfect warrior of the legends, to proudly say that he was the strongest to have ever been born!
It was a personal desire that he was ready to sacrifice anything for, and nobody could stop him from reaching it.
" I- I want a child. All your other wives have one, and I want one too. Please allow this one favour" Hazriel said as Max furrowed his brows together and contemplated this request.
He was not against having a child with Hazriel, however, he did not want to have a child with Hazriel either.
The first ti he had a child was when Asiva beca pregnant. It was a beautiful feeling and Max loved Kreth to death, however, Max could visibly see as to how from being Asiva's favourite individual in the entire universe, he went to the second spot as Kreth beca the apple of her eye.
The children he had with Anna and Mira were unplanned as well, however, the sa phenonon repeated itself when he had children with them as well.
Anna was like a wild beauty in bed, soone who would not let Max rest for a second, yet after she had her son, she rarely ever wanted Max, or even when she did, she did not wish to be wild.
For now, Hazriel was the only one who was still fun to tease, who was wild in bed and brought Max incalculable joy, which was why Max did not wish to ruin it by bringing a third party in this world.
" Ofcourse, if that's what you want then we shall have a child together, but can I understand why you want one suddenly?" Max asked, genuinely curious as to why Hazriel suddenly wanted one when the last ti they were together about five months ago she was completely against it.
" I want one because, I've realised that once you're gone it'll leave a void in my heart, a void that no-one can fill, however, if I have a mini version of you running around then maybe, just maybe, I won't be as lonely" Hazriel said as her answer moved Max's heart as it was his turn to not break into tears.
He was already being selfish and leaving everything behind, the least he could do was to make his wives happy before he went away and hence he graciously accepted Hazriel's request.
That very night, the two spent it in the fiery embrace of another and Max ensured that he pumped enough seed to knock her up.
