[You FAILED the Quest, LET’s GO FISHING!]
With the notification, the Ancient White Dragon gracefully rose from the water. Xin’s eyes widened in awe, though his face remained impassive.
The massive creature’s majestic presence was breathtaking. Its wings slowly unfurled, glistening in the sunlight as water droplets cascaded from its scales.
Suddenly, a magical transformation occurred before their amazed eyes. The dragon’s form shimred and shifted, and in an instant, it morphed into a beautiful sea elf.
The sea elf had striking features, with ethereal, opalescent skin and hair that flowed like seaweed. Her eyes sparkled like sapphires, mirroring the glinting ocean waves.
The sea elf gracefully floated in the air, supported by an unseen force as her long, translucent fins fluttered gently behind her. Her fingers seed to twirl like seaweed in the current, and she wore a flowing, luminescent gown that mirrored the colors of the sea.
The transformation was both srizing and surreal as if Xin had stepped into a magical dream. He watched in amazent as the dragon’s imnse power was now contained within the delicate and enchanting form of the sea elf.
"By the gods of water . . . It transford!" Captain Scarlet uttered.
As the sea elf glanced in Xin’s direction, her gaze held a depth of wisdom that seed to peer into his very soul. There was a sense of ancient knowledge and a hint of contentnt in her eyes as if she carried secrets from a ti long past.
The Sea Elf, her voice slow and slurring like she was speaking underwater, expressed her gratitude. "You . . . thank you for not attacking my pet," she said, her eyes fixed on Xin.
The revelation left Xin montarily stunned. The massive Ancient White Dragon, which he had considered a fearso creature, was actually her pet.
He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
As the Sea Elf floated closer to Xin and Captain Scarlet, the pirates instinctively drew their weapons, ready to defend themselves.
However, Xin quickly intervened, raising a hand to halt the crew.
"Wait," Xin said, his calm deanor influencing the pirates to listen. "I think she doesn’t an any harm."
With his CHA, Xin easily exerted his persuasive influence over the NPCs. And with his WIS, he could sense that the Sea Elf wouldn’t attack as long as there was no hostility towards her.
Captain Scarlet and her crew hesitated, their weapons poised but not fully committed to attacking. They watched the Sea Elf carefully, unsure of what to make of the situation.
The Sea Elf’s eyes held a mix of curiosity and wariness, but she didn’t show any signs of aggression. Xin’s WIS helped him read her deanor, and he could sense that she was not looking for a fight.
"I believe she ans no harm," Xin assured Captain Scarlet and her crew. "Let’s put our weapons down and see if we can communicate with her peacefully."
Reluctantly, Captain Scarlet and her crew lowered their weapons, though they kept a cautious eye on the Sea Elf.
"My na is Elysia," the sea elf introduced.
"Lord Schrodinger," Xin introduced back.
[Your Relationship Level with Elysia increased to FRIENDS!]
Elysia smiled, lting her eyes, and asked, "Did you ca from the town of Seagull’s Nest?"
Xin nodded.
"I once lived among them, the folks in Seagull’s Town. But their short-sightedness didn’t suit my ambitions at the ti, so I left."
"Is that so . . ." Xin didn’t know why the Sea Elf was chatting with him or if it was because of his CHA again.
[Your Relationship Level with Elysia increased to INTIMATE!]
Yep. It must be it. Xin thought. He only hoped that she wouldn’t pull him into the sea like Ariel did.
Elysia chuckled, her voice slow and lodic as if she was speaking underwater. She moved closer to Xin, her delicate hand reaching out to grasp his. Her enticing invitation tempted him, urging him to leave the mundane world and explore the wonders and mysteries of the vast underwater realm.
"Co with , Lord Schrodinger," she whispered, her eyes gleaming with excitent. "Join in the sea, where adventure awaits. We could have a marvelous life together, and I’ll show you the beauty that lies beneath the waves."
A notification popped up, but Xin was already used to it.
[CONGRATULATIONS! You can now marry Elysia! Proceed to the necessary quest to ask for her hand in marriage.]
His heart sank at the realization that this was no re playful flirtation; Elysia was genuinely proposing marriage.
A small voice in his head warned him that this might happen, but he had hoped that a high-level Sea Elf, who even had an Ancient Dragon as a pet, would be more mature and wouldn’t just marry soone who she just t.
"Wait a mont!" Captain Scarlet intervened, swiftly pulling Xin away from Elysia’s alluring grasp.
Caught off guard, Xin stumbled and accidentally fell into Captain Scarlet’s ample bosom. Her hands were tight around his head, suffocating him against her chest.
Before Xin could get off, Elysia asserted her claim over him, insisting that she would marry him.
Startled, Captain Scarlet retorted, "Lord Schrodinger is mine! I won’t let you take him away!"
Elysia’s eyes narrowed in response to the claim. "Oh my, the troll speaks? How amusing."
Captain Scarlet was so mad that she forgot about Xin and flung him to the side to get her weapon out of their scabbard.
This exchange quickly escalated into a heated confrontation, with Captain Scarlet and her crew ready to attack Elysia.
However, Xin stepped between them.
"Wait," Xin interjected. "Before you fight each other, can you please take to the Reef Raiders’ hideout, first?"
Upon hearing the words "Reef Raiders," Elysia’s anger instantly dissipated, and she returned to her amiable deanor. "Are you going to retrieve the stolen oils?" she asked, her expression softening.
Xin nodded, "How do you know?" Was she part of the quest, too?
"I ca across a lot of adventurers with the sa goal," Elysia answered and flashed an eerie smile. "Though most of them didn’t reach their destination."
The forum did say that the quest, [Let’s Go Fishing] beca accessible once you accepted Glesga’s quest to retrieve the oils then talk to Drasta next.
However, encountering the said creature in Drasta’s quest was another thing entirely. The monster, which Xin guessed was the White Ancient Dragon, appeared completely in random. He was lucky that it appeared before him.
Xin thought that it was probably because the requirent was CHA. That’s the only reason he could think of as to why he had triggered the quest.
With a sudden change in attitude, Elysia clapped her hands and smiled warmly. "Then you’ll need this," she said, presenting him with a sparkling seashell armor.
[RECEIVED! Coral Plate Armor!]
