For Alexander, winning Seraphina’s favor ant more than just a chance at a business deal. If he could sohow charm Seraphina and earn her admiration, his father might consider passing the company reins to him.

However, Alexander’s business-minded discussion was abruptly halted when Seraphina interjected, directing attention back to Xin.

"I’m sure you’ve t my boyfriend, Xin, right?"

Alexander paused, a twinge of hurt and regret crossing ilyn’s face, but both Xin and Alexander’s focus remained on Seraphina.

"B-boyfriend?" Alexander stamred, his eyes darting between Xin and Seraphina, his mouth agape. "S-so . . . so the rumors were true? You two are going out?"

Seraphina squeezed Xin’s hand tightly, her smile never left her face. "I don’t joke about my relationship."

Xin couldn’t help but muse that Seraphina had beco quite adept at deception. Their relationship was nothing but a joke.

Though he got to admit that they might be friends right now . . . right?

With that, she brushed past Alexander and ilyn, her attention solely on Xin. "Have you gotten what you wanted?"

Xin nodded in response.

"Let’s go then," Seraphina said, bidding farewell to the bewildered pair. "See you guys later."

She then led Xin away, leaving Alexander and ilyn still stupefied in place, their minds reeling from the unexpected turn of events.

Alexander turned to ilyn in a flurry of hurried questions. "Tell , did I co off as pushy? Is my hair alright? Do I look good? Wait, how’s my breath? Are there any stains on my clothes?"

ilyn couldn’t utter a single word. Her mind was a blank canvas as she watched Seraphina’s arm linked with Xin’s, her emotions in a tangled ss.

anwhile, as they made their way to the cashier to pay for their goods, Seraphina made a call.

"About Craig Enterprises. Yes, find so new suppliers," she instructed before ending the call.

Xin wanted to inquire about the call, but he reasoned that he didn’t have any business with her affairs.

Instead, he asked, "What are you going to do with all that food?"

Seraphina blinked as if she didn’t quite understand Xin’s question. "This is, of course, for our consumption."

Xin was montarily taken aback. Their food?

With a grin and a playful flutter of her eyelids, Seraphina continued, "What, did you expect to eat all this food myself?"

"Then I’ll pay for it," Xin insisted.

"It’s fine, really," Seraphina reassured him. "Since it’s your mother and Xiaxia who always cook for us, this is the least I could do. I don’t know how to cook myself."

Though Xin wasn’t entirely convinced by the arrangent, he decided not to press the matter further. He knew he wouldn’t be able to change Seraphina’s mind, so he let it be.

As they approached the cashier, Xin was surprised when a group of n and won approached Seraphina.

"Lady Seraphina, you’re here?"

"Lady Seraphina, can I have a bit of your ti?"

"Lady Seraphina, how about I treat you to a cup of coffee?"

"There’s this proposal that I think your company might like."

Xin understood that they weren’t asking Seraphina out on a date due to their age, so it must be business-related.

However, with a simple raise of Seraphina’s hand, a group of n with sunglasses erged and swiftly blocked those who tried to approach her, maintaining a respectful distance from her.

These n were clearly part of Seraphina’s security, and their swift response indicated that they were well-trained professionals.

What the–?! Xin exclaid, his surprise evident as he observed Seraphina’s security detail.

Were those her bodyguards?

Where had they suddenly appeared from?

As the commotion settled, Xin couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease.

There was clearly more to Seraphina than t the eye, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was only scratching the surface of her world.

Xin couldn’t help but be amazed as he glanced at Seraphina. "So that’s why the sunglasses and mask."

Seraphina nodded in confirmation. "Ladies like myself don’t have much privacy," she remarked with a chuckle, though Xin sensed a hint of desolation behind her laughter.

"Let’s pay for these and head back ho," Xin suggested, eager to leave the supermarket and escape the prying eyes of the others.

As the car humd along the road, a heavy silence settled within the confines of the vehicle.

Xin’s thoughts were interrupted by the shrill ring of his phone, the caller ID displaying Victor’s na. With a sigh, he accepted the call, anticipating a debrief on his date with his sister.

Expectations swirled in Xin’s mind, envisioning Victor relaying Xiaxia’s devastation and her abandonnt of lofty aspirations.

Yet, his expectations shattered as Victor’s words pierced through the quiet air. Xin’s shock was palpable as he learned that instead of rejecting Xiaxia, Victor and she had beco an item.

"What happened?!" Xin’s voice carried a rare tone of alarm and disbelief.

Beside him, Seraphina observed the exchange, a knowing smile playing at the corners of her lips. She understood what had happened and couldn’t help but marvel at Xiaxia’s bold move.

’Way to go, Xiaxia’ Seraphina mused inwardly.

But the real challenge was to maintain the newfound relationship.

Undeterred, Seraphina resolved to offer Xiaxia guidance to ensure the longevity of their relationship.

After all, it was her encouragent that had emboldened Xiaxia to be aggressive with Victor, aided, of course, by Xiaxia’s striking resemblance to Xin.

Amidst Seraphina’s silent laughter, Xin grappled with his dilemma.

"What happened?" His ears buzzed with a mix of confusion and frustration.

"Uh, well . . . I couldn’t say no . . . ," Victor’s voice crackled through the phone.

Xin clenched his eyes shut, taking a deep breath to steady his emotions.

How could Victor let this happen?

Feeling the emotions were still high, Xin decided to address the situation the following day.

Ending the call, Xin fell into a pensive silence, contemplating the complexities that now entangled Xiaxia’s relationship with Victor.

Aware that Victor harbored no romantic feelings for Xiaxia, Xin understood that honesty was the best approach, albeit a difficult one.
