Valentine’s voice thundered through the room, "I don’t care who started it. Both of you are fired from my shows!"
Maxine was overwheld, and she collapsed to the floor, tears streaming down her face.
The other models were equally terrified by the unfolding events, and paled in fear.
Although they harbored their own opinions, none dared to voice them against Valentine.
Antagonizing her could result in being banned from her shows and losing out on nurous projects.
Rumors suggested she was the eldest daughter of a prominent entertainnt company in the country, with the power to blacklist anyone she didn’t favor.
anwhile, Xiaxia’s smirk only widened. She wasn’t a model to begin with, and this fact didn’t escape Valentine’s notice.
Approaching her, she scrutinized Xiaxia through the sharp lens of her glasses. "You’re the new face, right? Don’t think that this doesn’t concern you," she asserted, her eyes piercing.
Xiaxia’s smirk faltered, unsure of how to react. She couldn’t afford to be confrontational with her future sister-in-law, after all.
First impressions mattered, and it seed she had already made a ss of hers.
As the weight of Valentine’s words settled, Xiaxia found herself more concerned about her relationship with Victor’s sister than her future career. The thought troubled her deeply.
What to do? She pondered, her mind in turmoil.
Valentine continued, "If you think you could get away with causing chaos here, you’re greatly mistaken. I will ensure you never set foot in the fashion industry again, not even in the smallest magazines. Say goodbye to any hope of a modeling career or entering the entertainnt industry."
As panic set in, Xiaxia grappled with the fear of losing Valentine’s favor than anything else right now.
Her mind raced, searching for a solution, until a voice suddenly broke the tension.
"You will do no such thing to her."
With those words, everyone in the room instinctively parted ways, creating a path that led directly to the unexpected arrival of a person . . . Seraphina Fey.
Eyes widened in astonishnt, and mouths fell open at the sight of her presence. Whispers rippled through the crowd, rumors spreading like wildfire as to why Seraphina Fey, of all people, was here.
But perhaps the most shocked of all was Valentine herself.
Seraphina Fey was renowned as one of the most influential won in the world, celebrated widely as a fashion icon despite not being a model or directly involved in the entertainnt industry.
Her followers numbered in the hundreds of millions and were increasing every day.
With just one post from her, she could catapult soone to stardom or bury them in obscurity.
Fashion designers clamored to have her attend their shows, knowing that her re presence would create a buzz that could reverberate around the world and make them famous.
As Seraphina Fey stood before them, her aura exuding an undeniable magnetism, the room fell into a hushed reverence, recognizing the significance of her unexpected appearance.
Seraphina didn’t mind the attention and solely directed her focus at Valentine. "I would be troubled if you were to do that, Miss Valentine. Really troubled. And you wouldn’t like it if I am troubled."
"Miss Fey!" Valentine practically exclaid in surprise and excitent. She hurried over to Seraphina, fussing over her. "You’re here. You should have let know so I could have prepared the VVIP seats for you."
"That’s not important right now, Miss Valentine," Seraphina interjected firmly. "You see that girl, Xiaxia, is my boyfriend’s sister, so I would appreciate it if you let her off the hook this ti."
"Of course!" Valentine agreed without a mont’s hesitation, much to the surprise of Xiaxia, Lisa, and the other models.
"In fact, I was just bluffing and wouldn’t exactly do what I said," Valentine added, attempting to lighten the mood with a forced laugh.
Seraphina offered a sweet smile. "Thank you. I will also make an offer at the dress that Xiaxia had modeled."
Valentine’s happiness soared, and she montarily abandoned her strict professional deanor, practically worshipping Seraphina’s every move and words.
"Thank you! Thank you so much! If you like, I could customize it for you, no extra coast!" Valentine offered eagerly.
"No need," Seraphina declined, casting a discerning glance at Maxine. "Although . . . I have a favor. That girl over there, pushed my sister-in-law, causing her to stumble on the runway. Having models like that taints the industry. We can’t have that, right, Miss Valentine?"
Valentine adjusted her glasses nervously. "Of course, of course. I will make sure she gets punished."
Seraphina bead, but Xiaxia couldn’t shake the feeling of danger emanating from her, like a cat sensing an impending calamity.
"Do make it light as a warning. How about banning her from your shows from now on?" Seraphina suggested.
"Consider it done!" Valentine agreed, sending a wave of dread through Maxine, Lisa, and the others.
Being banned from Valentine’s shows was akin to a death sentence in the industry.
How was that light at all?!
Lisa shuddered at the thought that it could be her next. Despite her success in the industry, it was largely due to her adeptness at networking.
But never in her wildest dreams did she imagine that a complete nobody could have a relationship with Seraphina Fey of all people.
’Just who is she?’ Lisa thought to herself, eyeing Xiaxia cautiously from the sidelines.
"Enough, sister. You’re making yourself look bad," another voice chid in, and the audience parted to reveal Victor.
"Victor . . ." Xiaxia whispered, her eyes lighting up with adoration, her deanor shifting from unrefined to demure in an instant.
"Oh, it’s you . . . ," Valentine responded, her own deanor softening in response to Victor’s presence.
Victor sighed and pretended to ignore her. "Anyway, I was the one who brought Xiaxia here. She’s my responsibility, and she’s not paying anything. So quit saying those words. You’ll scare her."
"V-Victor . . ." Xiaxia’s eyes welled up with tears, overwheld by Victor’s support.
Could this really be love?!
"I-I wasn’t going to . . . I’m just kidding," Valentine stamred, nervously laughing as she eyed Seraphina at the side.
"And you," Victor finally addressed Seraphina, "You’re not allowed in this area. I can handle everything here, so you can go back to your seat."
