Victor and Xiaxia exchanged a glance, sharing a reassuring smile as he gently squeezed her hand in a gesture of comfort.

Of course, Lisa noted the subtle interaction between them, and her face darkened.

"Xiaxia will be just fine," Victor assured, his voice steady and reassuring. "She’ll be wearing sothing simple, paired with low heels. Since it’s her first ti walking on the runaway, I trust you’ll show her the ropes."

Lisa offered a strained smile. "Of course, I’ll take good care of her." With that, she took Xiaxia’s hand and led her away from Victor. "Co with ."

Uncertain about following Lisa, Xiaxia couldn’t shake the feeling that Lisa harbored so animosity towards her.

It was evident that Lisa harbored feelings for Victor, which only added to Xiaxia’s sense of unease, considering her as a potential rival.

"Don’t worry, Xiaxia," Victor reassured her, sensing her hesitation. "I’ll be right here in the n’s section."

With Victor’s words echoing in her mind, Xiaxia reluctantly followed Lisa, her apprehension palpable as she wondered what would happen now.

"Right. n’s and won’s tents are definitely separate," Lisa comnted as she led Xiaxia to the heart of the won’s changing room.

"Now, let’s get you ready," Lisa instructed, motioning for her assistant to find the one responsible for the models and their attires.

As Xiaxia was being dressed and prepared for the show, Lisa scrutinized her appearance, offering so advice.

"Rember to just walk normally and keep your eyes ahead. If you stumble, just recover gracefully and carry on as if nothing happened.

"Follow the lead of the model in front of you, and when you reach the end of the runway, make a brief pose, turn, and head straight back here. Simple enough, right?"

Xiaxia found it difficult to maneuver with so many people attending to her wardrobe and makeup simultaneously.

"Uhm . . . is that all I have to do?" she asked uncertainly, suddenly feeling nervous. She felt like she had to do more.

Now, she was beginning to regret agreeing to Victor in the first place.

Lisa’s eyes narrowed slightly. "Considering you’re quite the novice, don’t underestimate the pressure of walking the runway in front of dozens of eyes," she remarked, her tone laced with a hint of warning.

She smirked and leaned in to whisper in Xiaxia’s ear. "Without a doubt, you’ll likely stumble. Let’s just hope it’s nothing serious, like a broken ankle. Or sothing far worse, like being featured on the morning news, an embarrassnt that would undoubtedly haunt you for the rest of your life."

Xiaxia swallowed hard, feeling a surge of regret for agreeing to participate in this show.

She couldn’t even take in the beauty of the clothing and makeup surrounding her, consud by her fear of becoming the laughingstock of the show.

"You . . . you don’t seem to like very much, do you?" Xiaxia blurted out, attempting to change the subject, though unsure why those words escaped her lips.

In her nervous state, she seed to have lost control of her tongue, and the words in her head slipped.

Lisa crossed her arms and bead. "Of course I don’t. All the models here have worked hard to earn their place on this runway, and then here you co, a complete novice, suddenly wearing one of the creations of one of the best fashion designers in the world, all because of her little brother.

"Did you sleep with Victor to get here? Though I doubt he would be that kind of man, and besides, you’re not his type. He must be really desperate to save his sister’s show if he even asked soone like you to co here and pretend to be a model like ."

Xiaxia was appalled by how sharp Lisa’s tongue could be. She had always appeared so nice in magazines and videos, like an angel.

Who would have thought she could be so unpleasant and a devil?

The people around them pretended not to hear their conversation. They continued with their tasks with poker faces and sealed lips, but Xiaxia’s anger was ignited. And when she was angry, her nerves disappeared, replaced by annoyance and the desire for revenge.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I’m doing this for Victor, not for so twisted agenda of entering the fashion industry through the back door like you’re implying," Xiaxia retorted.

Lisa only sweetly smiled. "That’s what they all say."

Xiaxia was annoyed and snapped, "Are you jealous because Victor practically begged to be here? Is that what this is about?"

Though nobody begged, Xiaxia couldn’t hold her tongue any longer. Lisa had made her accusation, and Xiaxia couldn’t back down without putting up a fight.

The people who overheard their exchange snickered, but a sharp look from Lisa silenced them.

Lisa then addressed Xiaxia with a warning smile. "Be careful about who you’re picking a fight with here, little missy. You’re still wet in your diapers."

Xiaxia shot back with a steely glare, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Thanks for the advice. I’ll rember it next ti I need tips on how to be petty and insecure."

Those who heard couldn’t help but stifle their laughter, though Lisa’s eyes narrowed before she simply turned and walked away.

One of the people dressing Xiaxia couldn’t resist comnting. "You’ve got guts. Nobody dares to talk to Lisa like that, at least not openly."

Xiaxia wasn’t backing down. "She started it."

"Although if you want a career in the fashion industry, pissing her off is not the right way to start," the dresser cautioned.

"Though I love to see Lisa pissed off, I feel like you’ve wasted this chance. You’ve been given a rare opportunity to walk the runway, and you’ve just blown it by making an enemy out of Lisa."

Xiaxia suddenly felt nervous again. "Is she that powerful? Is she like a billionaire or sothing?"

"She has a lot of billionaire suitors, and yes, she’s very influential in the fashion and modeling industry."

"Making an enemy out of her ans making an enemy out of the entire industry."

Xiaxia felt lightheaded and felt like she was about to be sick.

Why did she have to go and run her mouth like that?

But she reassured herself, calming her nerves. After all, she had no plans to pursue a career in the modeling industry, so why worry about further upsetting Lisa?

She could probably pissed her off a few more tis.

Xiaxia couldn’t help but smirk at the notion.
