"You are," Victor confird. "Who would break a contract in favor of a top two guild? Think about it; Doombringers would never stain their na for you. Instead of helping you, they will wash their hands and put all the bla on you since you’re the one who sold the contract in the first place.

"And I assu that you didn’t even think about it when they offered you money and promises, right? I bet you didn’t even sign any contract with them to bail you out in case sothing like this happened."

Ignis, Drakoon, and Luna’s faces contorted with a mix of shock, fear, and realization. The weight of the truth hit them like a tidal wave. They hadn’t thought about the consequences of their actions when dealing with Doombringers.

In the grand excitent of the guild’s offer, they had neglected to consider the fundantal principle that a reputable guild wouldn’t necessarily honor re promises and words.

The realization sent shivers down their spines.

This was Doombringers, the top two guilds in the gaming world, so they trusted them blindedly. Their excitent blinded them to the potential repercussions that could co back to haunt them.

Grey Smoke’s pointed words served as a sobering wake-up call.

The trio, initially defiant and self-assured, now found themselves grappling with the gravity of the situation.

Ignis, Drakoon, and Luna exchanged uneasy glances, silently acknowledging that they might have dug themselves into a deep hole.

"You’re bluffing!" Drakoon roared, attempting to salvage so semblance of confidence.

"Really?" Seraphim smirked, her gaze locking with them.

Victor let out a hearty laugh. "Pray tell, why would they help you in case trouble arises because of you auctioning the map without your employer’s knowledge?"

The weight of silence filled the air as the three couldn’t conjure a single rebuttal.

The truth hung heavy between them, and the reality of their brash decisions began to sink in.

The fear of being abandoned by Doombringers, with no contractual obligation to support them, lood like a shadow over their previous bravado.

Their initial arrogance and overconfidence now waned, replaced by a stark realization that they had underestimated the consequences of their actions.

The trio was left in a vulnerable position, their fate uncertain in the face of potential repercussions from Sylvan’s legal actions.

"Don’t listen to them!" Drakoon roared once more, his voice echoing through the landscape. "Doombringers will honor their promise. Else, we will drag their na through the mud."

"That’s right," Luna added, regaining so semblance of control over the situation. "We can always complain online. Besides, they’re the ones who bought the map. Whether they like it or not, we’re in the sa boat here. If we fall, they will fall with us."

Victor smirked. "Right. Whatever makes you sleep at night."

Ignis maintained an uneasy silence, and couldn’t bring himself to comnt on the argunt.

"Let’s deal with this kid quickly and regroup with Doombringers. We’ve wasted too much ti here already," Drakoon declared, his eyes narrowing as he sprinted towards Sylvan in an attempt to catch him off guard.

However, Sylvan was no novice. He had already set a trap that snared Drakoon, causing him to be paralyzed in place for a few critical seconds.

Luna followed suit, casting a swift spell towards Sylvan. Yet, Sylvan proved to be as agile as he was cunning, quickly getting back on his feet and evading the magical onslaught by leaping from branches to branches in the nearby trees.

The forest beca a battleground as spells and abilities were exchanged between the combatants.

Sylvan’s nimble movents and strategic traps kept Drakoon and Luna on their toes, preventing them from easily overwhelming him.

Sylvan, though lacking in raw power compared to the two, showcased a level of finesse and creativity that caught his adversaries off guard.

As Luna’s spells fizzled against Sylvan’s evasive maneuvers, and Drakoon struggled against the lingering effects of the trap, the dynamics of the confrontation shifted.

Xin and the others, couldn’t help but be impressed by Sylvan’s resilience and tactical acun. It was a rare sight to witness a solo player challenging two players at the sa ti with the sa level as him.

Sylvan’s determination to protect the Yokais kept him focused and motivated to fight his all.

anwhile, the distant sounds of the conflict between Doombringers and the Yokais inside the village signalled the start of a battle.

"Hey! Ignis! Why aren’t you helping us here?!" Drakoon hollered at the still-standing Orc in the distance.

"A little help here would be nice, Ignis," Luna complained, frustration evident in her voice.

Ignis was jolted out of his thoughts by Luna and Drakoon’s piercing voice.

He shifted his focus back to the ongoing battle and stuttered, "R-right . . ."

Like a chanical being, Ignis moved, though he still seed sowhat detached from the intensity of the situation.

However, with Ignis joining the fray, the dynamics of the battle underwent another shift. His presence introduced a new elent, adding to the complexity of the skirmish.

Sylvan found himself at a disadvantage once more.

As Sylvan found himself cornered, Luna and Drakoon couldn’t contain their grins.

"Ha! There’s nowhere to run!" Drakoon said, while Luna added, "Too bad. If you had just accepted the deal, you wouldn’t have to die."

Sylvan gritted his teeth, refusing to yield.

However, their triumphant mont was shattered by a sudden strike from behind. The three jumped in surprise as their HP plumted to half in an instant.

"Who did that?!" Drakoon roared, shifting his eyes to Lord Scrooge and the others, but they pretended it wasn’t them.

"You!" Drakoon was about to say sothing when Sylvan appeared behind him, swiftly stabbing him with his knife.

It was a Critical Hit, and since Drakoon’s HP was already decreased to more than half, he died instantly.

The sudden turn of events left Ignis and Luna stunned.

Sylvan’s unexpected counterattack had not only leveled the playing field but also turned the tables on Ignis and the others.

Sylvan, now holding the knife, faced Luna, who wore a mix of shock and anger.

Ignis snapped out of his trance, and finally grasped the situation.
