Curiosity piqued, they cautiously approached the source of the commotion.

Moving quietly, they reached a clearing where the sounds of conflict intensified. The scene before them was a chaotic tableau of warriors engaged in a fierce struggle.

It was Dragon’s Fury, the guild led by Alexander Craig and ilyn, entangled in combat with thousands of status effect inducing snakes.

The clash of swords and the burst of magical energies illuminated the clearing sporadically.

Despite the fierce resistance from Dragon’s Fury mbers, the poisonous onslaught took its toll. The venomous fangs sank into the flesh of the warriors, injecting a deadly toxin that spread rapidly.

The once-proud guilds were now reduced to a re handful of survivors, desperately fighting to stay alive. Their once-formidable numbers dwindled to five as the relentless assault continued.

Battered and bloodied, they stood amidst the chaotic battleground. The undying poison snakes encircled them, hissing with a nacing fervor.

The survivors, faces etched with desperation, and fought against the relentless tide of enemies.

The trio, hidden in the shadows, observed the tragedy, like they were only staring at a movie.

As they stood amidst the eerie ambiance of the dense forest, the sounds of clashing blades and distant cries grew louder. Xin quickly recognized it as iyln’s guild.

"Alright, let’s move on ahead," Xin decided.

Seraphim, without much thought, blurted out, "Aren’t you going to help them?" She imdiately covered her mouth, realizing her spontaneous comnt.

Xin was baffled by Seraphim’s words, spoken as if on a whim. "Why would we help them? They’re a rival guild. If they get eliminated now, that’s less competition for us."

Besides, iyln wouldn’t die in real life. Xin thought about their past relationship. He had loved her once, but now he felt nothing more than a sense of detachnt. He didn’t hold any resentnt; she had moved on, and so had he. Even their friendship had dissipated, shattered by that unfortunate accident.

Xin took a deep breath and turned his back to the ongoing battle. There was no turning back.

Hilda nodded in approval. "Alright, let’s get going then."

Seraphim cleared her throat and said, "Let’s go then."

However their escape was halted when their attention was abruptly diverted when a sinister hiss perated the air. Thousands of poisonous snakes erged from the underbrush, creating a writhing sea of venomous threats that surrounded both guilds.

The undulating mass of deadly serpents seed endless, overwhelming Xin and everyone with sheer numbers.

The snakes’ eyes glowed with malevolent intent as they struck with deadly poison.

"Hey, you!" Alexander called out upon noticing Lord Scrooge and the others. "Seeing that you’re ensnared in these as well, let’s fight together!"

Hilda scoffed. "I think you’re mistaken. It’s not we who are ensnared with these poisonous snakes. It’s them who are stuck with us!" she exclaid and burst into laughter.

Everyone’s eyes settled on her.

"What are they doing?" one of the players in Dragon’s Fury comnted.

"Are they okay in the head?"

"From all the players, we have encountered the crazy and idiotic ones."

"Are we going to be alright?" ilyn asked Alexander.

"We don’t have any choice here. It’s not like there are anymore players here with us. Just don’t stop healing the team," Alexander instructed.

anwhile, in Xin’s group, they were also surrounded by snakes from all sides, and there was no way to advance without clearing so of the vermins.

"Looks like we have no choice but to kill these naces." Seraphim lted into the shadows, and prepared to attack.

"Let’s just clear the path and move ahead. Let’s not dally here any longer than necessary," Xin said and summoned five defense golems to protect them from the snakes. Additionally, two spider manikins appeared to help clean up the snakes.

Xin wasn’t worried about their status effects because his equipnt provided immunity.

However, he was concerned that their strength might be greater than his defense. After all, he was still a low-level player, and multiple bites from those snakes could send him to the revive point.

"Don’t worry, Lord Scrooge. As long as I am here, I won’t let even a single bite co your way!" Hilda declared, her protective stance evident.

"Look at that. That guy just summoned golems out of nowhere."

"And what’s with those scary-looking spider dolls?"

"This is the first ti I’ve encountered a player with that ability. I wonder what his class is."

"Boss, we should definitely recruit him. Look at his na. He doesn’t belong to any guild."

"Shut up and kill these snakes, if you don’t want to fire you instead," Alexander snapped, his frustration evident.

ilyn glanced at the other group that suddenly appeared.

Lord Scrooge? ilyn didn’t know why, but he felt familiar sohow. His na reminded her of a grumpy cat, and Xin imdiately flashed into her mind.

Could it be?

ilyn entertained the thought before abruptly shaking her head.

No, that couldn’t be.

There were plenty of Lord Scrooges out there, and Xin wouldn’t be in this forest because it was not even long ago that he started to play.

Certainly not here in the Lost Forest, where the beasts reached level 90 and above.

ilyn sighed, dismissing her montary whimsy.

She must be out of her mind. Every figure she glimpsed, every na she encountered, seed to be associated with Xin.

Was she missing him that much? ilyn mused to herself and released a deep breath.

"ilyn! Don’t just stand there in a daze! Heal us!" Alexander’s voice cut through her contemplation.

Startled, ilyn snapped out of her montary lapse and hastily directed her staff at her companions. "R-right."

The battle erupted as the spider mannequins lunged forward, their lethal claws slashing through dozens of snakes. Their razor-sharp limbs darted among the serpentine foes, delivering swift strikes that systematically thinned their ranks.

Simultaneously, Hilda swung her massive hamr with precision, delivering powerful slashes that cleaved through the threatening horde. The snakes recoiled, their attempts to strike futile against the stalwart defense presented by Hilda.

In the shadows, Seraphim unleashed her unique abilities, swiftly transitioning between darkness and light. Her movents were fluid, appearing and disappearing at will.

With precision, she exploited weaknesses in the snake formations, swiftly eliminating them with a single, decisive strike.
