"So, basically, whenever there’s a world boss, unless you can compete with the top guilds, you won’t be able to kill one?" Luna asked.

"That’s the summary of it," Victor confird. "I was enlisted by Brotherhood Legion at that ti to reinforce their ranks since most of their mbers were guarding the periters to ensure that there won’t be any players trying to steal the world boss."

Luna scoffed. "They would go that far?"

"You’d be surprised how far the top guilds would go to claim the top spot," Victor explained with a knowing smirk.

"Alright, everyone, enough chit-chat," Sylvan interjected, clapping his hands to gather their attention. "It’s ti to move out."

He scanned the surroundings, his expression crunch in annoyance. "Looks like Seraphim is not here agai—"

"I’m here." Seraphim erged from the shadows. "I’ve been here from the start . . ." she said, smiling behind her cloak.

A collective shock rippled through the group as she suddenly appeared. Luna couldn’t help but grumble, "Stop appearing out of nowhere. It’s not good for my heart."

Undeterred, Seraphim bead, her presence leaving a lasting impression.

Ignis and Drakoon exchanged knowing glances. Sylvan, being a hunter with high-level abilities to detect players and enemies at a distance even if they were invisible, should have noticed her.

Yet, Seraphim managed to elude even his keen senses.

It was becoming apparent that Seraphim was not to be taken lightly, and her ability to move undetected hinted at skills beyond the ordinary.

Maybe her level was higher than they had assud, Ignis thought. Co to think of it, even he, the one who recruited her, didn’t know her real level.

He wasn’t even sure that she would appear, but luckily, she did.

On the sidelines, Xin had another thought. Seraphim strongly reminded him of Midnight Duchess, the one who stole his Legend Grade [Lovers Enduring Sacrifice].

However, he lacked any evidence, and there was a chance that all assassins operated in a similar fashion, although his instincts strongly suggested otherwise.

It seed that there was only one way to confirm.

Xin approached Hilda and whispered sothing in her ear.

Hilda blinked, then grinned behind her helt, giving him a thumbs up.

"Leave it to . Though I need an hour."

"It’s fine. I can wait. We have four hours here," Xin replied.

"Got it."

Hilda proceeded to her task, and the group set out to find the Kitsune, maintaining vigilance for any signs of danger.

Victor approached Xin and leaned in to share sothing in his ear. "Do you know about this new boss?"

"What?" Xin didn’t understand why Victor was so curious about this boss.

"I heard that it’s like a ball of black tal with hands and feet wielding a giant blade."

Xin’s eyes unconsciously darted to Hilda.

Initially, she did resemble a ball of tal, but this ti, her armor was white, and she wielded a battle axe and shield instead of a two-handed great sword.

He made sure to tell her yesterday to change her armor and weapon, so she wouldn’t be easily recognized.

"Maybe it’s a type of monster?" Xin suggested, attempting to shift the topic away from Hilda.

"Maybe. But don’t you think that Hilda is like a ball of armor too?" Victor chuckled. "I don’t an to be an, but don’t you think that the new boss . . ."

Xin didn’t like the sound of where the conversation was heading.

Xin’s heart raced, and he gulped hard as Victor prepared to disclose the boss’s na. The anticipation made it feel as if his heart was swelling, constricting his breath.

". . . the boss . . . is a dwarf?" Victor finished.

Xin blinked. ". . . What?"

"Don’t you think that this boss is a dwarf?" Victor pondered, rubbing his chin in contemplation. "Maybe it’s so kind of goblin inside its chanical creation? That’s also a possibility."

"Nice guess, Grey Smoke," Ignis chid in. "Maybe it is."

As the two engaged in discussion, speculating on the identity of the new boss, Xin couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief.

Nobody seed to suspect Hilda was the boss which was a good sign.

Luna, unable to contain her curiosity, turned to Sylvan and inquired, "Hey leader, aren’t we going to find this boss as well?"

Sylvan vehently shook his head, and resolutely said, "No. Our main priority right now is the Kitsune. This is the perfect ti to find it quickly while the others are busy searching for this new boss."

Luna pouted and addressed the group, "Looks like we won’t be finding that boss anyti soon."

Drakoon chuckled. "Who knows, we might co across it while we’re searching for the Kitsune. Like they say, the more you seek, the less it appears. But if you let it be, it will cross your path."

Luna stared at him with a blank face. "Then that ans the Kitsune won’t appear because we’re searching for it?"

Drakoon only laughed, offering no further explanation, while he avoided any eye contact when Sylvan glared at him.

"Seems like our leader has a strong desire for that Kitsune," Xin muttered under his breath.

"He’s a hunter, after all. Probably wants it as a pet," Victor added with a knowing grin.

The group proceeded through the dense and foreboding terrain of the Lost Forest, the shadows of towering trees casting an eerie ambience over their path.

The atmosphere was thick with tension as they navigated the labyrinthine landscape. The air hung heavy with the anticipation of encounters both anticipated and unforeseen.

Much like the previous day, the journey was fraught with peril. Sinister monsters lurked in the shadows, their predatory eyes gleaming in the dim light filtering through the dense foliage.

The distant sounds of rustling leaves and the occasional ominous growl heightened the sense of foreboding. Each step they took seed to echo through the ancient woods, amplifying the feeling of vulnerability.

The group remained vigilant, their weapons at the ready, eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of danger. The tension built with every passing mont, the relentless suspense urging them to stay on guard.
