"T-Tristan, we should log out and warn the others not to co here anymore," Tiffany said. "I have a bad feeling about this."

Tristan’s determination burned fiercely, refusing to waver in the face of a new boss that would potentially bring them fortune and powers.

It was not every day that they encountered a boss that hadn’t been defeat. .

"Tristan!" Tiffany’s desperate cry echoed through the dense forest when Tristan seed like he didn’t hear anything.

"Shut up!" he barked, a mixture of urgency and frustration in his tone, silencing Tiffany abruptly.

"I know what I’m doing," Tristan asserted with conviction. "This is no ordinary boss, Tiffany. It’s sothing new, uncharted. If we take it down now, we’ll secure firstblood and possibly a Legend Grade item. Think about what it could an for our guild. Don’t you want that?"

Tiffany hesitated, torn between her concerns and the allure of potential rewards. "I do, but . . ."

But Tiffany couldn’t shake the unsettling realization that Tristan had a tendency to claim the most coveted items for himself, even if he hadn’t actively contributed to acquiring them.

She observed a subtle but undeniable inclination in her boyfriend to secure the rarest equipnt solely for his own benefit.

It raised a nagging concern within her, questioning whether his motives were truly aligned with the collective well-being of their guild or if personal gain took precedence in his actions.

The deeper Tiffany delved into understanding her boyfriend, the more she couldn’t help but perceive him as a jerk beneath the allure of his wealth and the charm of his dimpled smile and handso face.

Tiffany couldn’t finish her sentence as Tristan’s attention shifted abruptly. His eyes widened, and Tiffany followed his gaze, only to be t with the ominous sight of a ball of armor with legs and arms, brandishing a colossal blade.

With a sudden whoosh, chaos erupted as the monstrous entity swiftly claid Tiffany and the others in its deadly grip.

"Tiffany!" Tristan’s voice reverberated with desperation, but his pleas hung unanswered in the air.

The force of the creature’s attack sent them staggering backward, colliding with nurous trees. Bludgeoning and slicing damage from branches inflicted additional damage, leaving Tristan dazed and with half HP.

Shaking off the disorientation, Tristan scrambled to his feet, his heart pounding with fear.

"Tiffany!" he called out again, but the ominous silence that followed sent a chill down his spine.

As he attempted to comprehend the situation, distant cries and screams from his remaining guild mbers reached his ears, intensifying the gravity of their predicant.

The once-confident Tristan now found himself surrounded by uncertainty, the unknown enemy proving to be a formidable enemy more than he thought.

As Tristan desperately called out to his companions, his voice reverberated through the dense, foreboding forest, the echoes swallowed by an eerie silence.

A chill crept up his spine as he realized that no one was answering him.

Panic set in, and he frantically scanned his surroundings, only to comprehend the harsh reality — he was alone.

Scrambling to his feet, Tristan’s every movent resonated with urgency. The ground beneath him seed to shift, as if conspiring against his escape.

He could feel the weight of solitude pressing down on him, amplifying the ominous aura of the woods.

In a desperate bid to reunite with his second group, Tristan hastened towards their supposed location.

However, as he approached, a heart-stopping sight awaited him — the mbers of his group were already dissipating into particles, vanishing into nothingness.

"W-what’s . . . what’s going on here?" Tristan stamred, his disbelief apparent in his shock face.

A surge of realization hit him like a wave — this forest was not what it seed. It held a sinister secret, and Tristan felt the urgency to escape before succumbing to the sa fate as his comrades.

Log out. That was the solution.

All he needed to do was return to the designated saving point and choose the option to exit the ga.

Tristan turned to make his way back to the saving point, hope flickering amidst the encroaching despair.

Yet, as he was on the verge of taking a step forward, a colossal blade materialized seemingly out of nowhere, cleaving through the air with lethal precision.

The blade struck Tristan with brutal force, his HP plumting to zero in an instant.

Staring in disbelief at the sudden turn of events, Tristan struggled to comprehend the strength of this boss.

Wasn’t this unfair? Tristan thought. How co there was boss this strong in here?

A whirlwind of emotions gripped him as he managed to cast a backward glance.

There it was — the ball of obsidian armor, the boss that had ruthlessly ended him and his guild.

Before Tristan could discern its na, he burst into particles, his final words fading.

"Hil . . ."

As the pixels of vanished players dispersed into nothingness, Hilda finally released a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding.

With a satisfying sense of accomplishnt, she lifted her helt, revealing a face that had beco accustod to a rugged warrior.

Breathing in, she chuckled. "Whew. Killing all these players makes sweat a little."

A mischievous giggle escaped her lips. "I hope Lord Scrooge will be pleased."

Hilda’s mission, aside from locating the Kitsune, was clear — eliminate every player in her path.

While deed ruthless and unfair, this strategy ensured that opposing teams would face delays, allowing Xin and the others ti to caught up.

In her conviction, Hilda believed that this ruthless approach was the key to preventing anyone else from obtaining the Kitsune . . . at least why she was here.

Unconcerned about changing her na or obscuring it, Hilda had confidence in Lord Scrooge’s guidance.

According to him, players and NPCs could share the sa na, providing her with a cloak of anonymity. The others would simply mistake her for another formidable boss, or an NPC, a deception that served her purpose well.

Moreover, crafting tools to alter her na or temporarily blur it demanded precious materials and ti.

Lord Scrooge was mindful of resource conservation, and deed such endeavors wasteful.

Hilda stretched and sighed.

She was taking a break while imagining her future with Lord Scrooge.

After rejuvenating, she said, "Got to hurry. I still have to eliminate so players after all."

Putting on her helt again, she resud her journey, humming and whistling, the large blade on her shoulder.

"I wonder who’s next? I hope they put up a good fight. Or at least manage to land a hit on ," she sighed. "This is rather boring."

Suddenly, her face lit up as she giggled.

"But anything for Lord Schrodinger!"
