Are you sick?

As he passed by a stream, he looked to the side to see a deer drinking water before he carried on down the path.

John noticed he seed to be heading downstream since the water in the stream he just crossed over was now flowing the sa way as he was going beside his path.

Soon he started to hear noises in the distance, people shouting, children crying, a hamr in a forge.

As he rounded a corner in the path it opened up into another clearing, however this one was not empty like the first one, it was a small village with several dozen buildings that ranged from being on the ground to up in the air attached to trees.

The majority of which were houses were up in the trees with walkways stretching between them, ladders and lifts helped individuals reach them from the ground.

He could not really make out the ones on the ground since a wall had been erected around the village, with an access gate straight ahead of him that had three individuals standing outside talking.

As John approached the village entrance, he could tell that two of the individuals were guards and the other looked like so sort of rchant with a large bag on his back.

One of the guards looked towards John and showed surprise on his face before saying.

"We will be with you in a mont lad."

Turning back to the rchant he said.

"Alright Dyffros everything checks out, welco back to Yesta."

"Thanks very much Beluar, make sure to drop by the tavern later so I can buy you both a drink." The rchant said before proceeding into the village.

"Well now what is a human doing out here? I don't think we have ever had a human visit Yesta before have we Bialaer?" The first guard who seed to be nad Beluar said.

"No this is certainly strange and a bit suspicious, why are you here kid? This is nowhere near the Easten continent and several days from Thathalas where your kind are more commonly seen?" asked the second guard.

"I was advised by a friend nad Tanelia to visit Yesta village because it is a good place to learn the basics of becoming an adventurer." John replied thinking he may as well keep using the sa excuse he gave the other elf.

"Hmm no Tanelia here and I don't rember ever eting one, do you Beluar?"

"Hmm I think there was a female Druid that went by the na Tanelia a couple of years back wasn't there?" Beluar inquired.

"Wait... now that you ntion it that does ring a bell." Bialaer said before turning back to John.

"Got any letter of introduction on you human boy?"

"Err no." John replied surprised that soone with the na Tanelia actually did visit here in the past.

"Hmm well that's a conundrum them, we can't just let you in since you're soone from a foreign continent, even humans who have entered our capital Thathalas needed so form of invite or letter of recomndation before they could enter."

There was silence for a mont as the two guards tried to think what best to do, they could not just let the human boy in because that was against the rules, but they did not want to shoo him away because he had been polite with them and he knew about a forr visitor to the village.

As they were still considering what to do a high-pitched voice ca from behind them through the gate.

"Oi, are you two brothers skiving off again?"

After which a female fairy of about three inches in height with bright green hair ca flying through the open gate and stopped in front of them with a cheeky grin.

"Who are you claiming is skiving off Mossy? We are trying to decide what to do about this human kid." Beluar said defensively

"A human out here? don't make laugh, wah..." Mossy said in a disbelieving tone before looking at John and giving a quick yelp in surprise.

The fairy flew towards John and looked at him closely before circling around him and inspecting him before saying.

"Are you sick?"

"Excuse ?" John asked back confused while the guards tried to hold back their laughter

"I asked, are you sick? You must be sick, I an look at you, your ears have shrunk, your eyebrows are bushy, your lips are too thick and let's not even talk about those muscles that you have." Mossy said as she pointed at each part of John that was supposedly wrong.

"Is your disease contagious?" she asked before turning to the two guards who were laughing with their backs turned.

"Oi you two stupid brothers, why would you let an elf who has such a dangerous disease near the village and why are you laughing?"

"I think there has been a misunderstanding, I am not an elf, I am infact human." John tried to explain.

"Not possible." Mossy declared, shaking her head.

"Oh, co on Mossy, the boy is obviously a human, we know you have never t one before but surely you have read up on them." Bialaer asked after getting his laughter under control slightly.

"Are you calling stupid? the alchemist of Yesta village?" Mossy asked insulted.

"Not at all." Bialaer claid waving his hands in peace before continuing.

"I just an he is obviously a human so how can you think he is an elf with a disease."

"Honestly you two are useless, that's why your guards and not anything more important, even though your elves your magic control sucks." Mossy snapped at the pair,

They lowered their heads a bit in sha.

"Don't you think that was a bit harsh?" John asked, trying to defend the two elves who did not seem too bad and were willing to try to think of a way to help him instead of just shooing him away.

"I only speak the truth, while the two of them have magic power that is stronger than almost anyone in the village, the problem is they have difficulty with their finer control of their magic which is why they have not sensed from you what I have." Mossy explained
