Chapter 627: Chapter 627: Heart of a Fierce Tiger

“Idiot, don’t you know that it’s a reflection… well…”

The leader of the shield warriors was carrying a Reflection Shield that could deflect skills and magic, hence his relentless advance.

He knew that Li Yao’s golden arrow was a level four Charged Arrow. If it struck any other player with such high attack power, they would be instantly killed.

But he couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy inside. He thought that Li Yao was just acting recklessly. The stronger the arrow, the more powerful the reflection. If Li Yao were to die from his own powerful arrow, it would be trendously embarrassing.

Now that Li Yao was well-known, everyone wanted to step on him to gain fa. He thought he was about to succeed, so he began mocking Li Yao.

But what he didn’t anticipate was that the arrow exploded upon contact with the shield, before there was ti for reflection.

His body was blasted away like a rag doll by the explosion, and the mages behind him didn’t escape either. Both of them were flung out, splashing into the sea.

The shield warrior’s health was reduced to less than one fifth. He was shocked. With his powerful equipnt and the protection of the shield, he was still almost killed instantly. This attack was just freakishly powerful.

If there hadn’t been a shield, he would have certainly been one-shotted.

“Idiot, just because you have a Reflection Shield doesn’t an you’re invincible.” Li Yao sneered. When the other party activated their reflection ability, Li Yao directly used the Piercing Arrow instead of the explosive one.

Li Yao’s body turned red as he launched Rapid Shooting.

Multiple explosive arrows were fired, causing flashes of fire to break out as they struck the small boats approaching him.

The players on the boats fell into the water like dumplings. Even though Li Yao’s target wasn’t them, the impact of the explosions caused them significant blood loss.

Especially many soft-armored players. They were almost killed by the explosion’s residue.

It took only a few seconds before all the ten odd small boats rushing towards Li Yao were either ignited or blown up by explosive arrows, and all the remaining players fell into the sea.

Li Yao stopped shooting, leisurely watching them struggling in the water. This was particularly hard for those wearing plate armor as they had to struggle to stay afloat, otherwise they would sink.

About twenty players in the water yelled angrily at Li Yao.

“If you want to kill us, kill us. What’s the point of humiliating us?”

The recent attack was like a bucket of cold water, making the once confident warrior realize the gap between him and Li Yao. Whether on land or sea, in terms of attack or strategy, he was leagues away from Li Yao.

Even standing on undulating boats, his arrows had poor precision, but Li Yao, drifting in the waves, was still hitting the mark every ti.

He thought he was nearly on par with Li Yao, but seeing him now, he felt despair. He finally understood the aning of unreachable and utter hopelessness.

“That’s the famous leader for you. A disappointnt.” Li Yao laughed, “I’ve been wondering, why are you in the Shengshi Guild putting so much pressure on ? Do you think I’m a pushover?”

The Beast Speaker replied coldly, “Enough with the nonsense. I don’t know what you’re talking about with this prosperous era. Get it over with.”

“Haha, you can’t even admit who you are and think disguising yourself and using a rena card can fool everyone? Beast Speaker.” Li Yao’s eyes had turned a deep blue, as bottomless as the sea.

The Beast Speaker’s heart skipped a beat, though he couldn’t admit it.

“Whatever, we’re dead anyway. Fight him!”

They had no boats and it was impossible to find their way in this deep sea. They couldn’t use the Hearthstone either. They were trapped.

Splash…

Li Yao suddenly took a step back and spread his palms. Countless tentacles plunged into the sea, then quickly pulled out a rogue.

The rogue had tried to stealthily attack Li Yao while he was talking to the Beast Speaker, unaware that stealth was full of flaws in the water.

Countless black tendrils rcilessly pierced his skin causing his health to rapidly drop.

“Die.”

The rogue was completely thrown off, but he was a high-level player and quickly recovered.

His body vanished, escaping the grip of the Dark Touch. He then appeared behind Li Yao.

Shadow Step!

His dagger glowed green. The players in the water, upon seeing this, their eyes flashed with excitent. If Li Yao could be stunned, his death would be guaranteed.

Squelch…

A myriad of tendrils protected Li Yao’s head from the attacking dagger. They wrapped around the rogue’s wrist and as more tendrils joined, his health quickly diminished.

His blood and life force were being absorbed, and with every absorption, the tendrils of the Dark Touch multiplied.

The rogue tried to struggle, but the sea was below. There was nowhere to go.

His other dagger cut off many tentacles, but his life force helped them to regenerate and multiply.

As the number of tendrils increased, his other arm and entire body beca bound.

Splash…

In less than ten seconds, all the tentacles receded and Li Yao appeared as a giant tentacle monster with countless tentacles writhing behind him.

A pile of bones fell into the sea and then a white light disappeared.

Everyone was dumbstruck. This scene was utterly horrifying.

“Killing with a single arrow would have been faster. This blood-sucking took ten seconds. It’s a bit impractical. It seems I still need to find the next part.” Li Yao had tried out his new blood-sucking ability and wasn’t quite satisfied.

After all, these scrubs could’ve been killed with just one arrow.

The others were rolling their eyes at this. In their view, the rogue never stood a chance against the tentacles and was killed without Li Yao lifting a finger. What could possibly be unsatisfactory about that?

They didn’t know that Li Yao had to ntally control each tentacle. For an average player, such power would be impossible to control.

“Never mind, you’re all useless now. I’ll send you on your way.”

Li Yao was no longer in the mood to experint and began to draw his bow again.

Whish, whish, whish…

Player by player, their heads were blown apart. The rest of the players quickly went underwater because arrows would be limited in the water.

And, due to refraction, aiming can be challenging. But Li Yao’s skills were unparalleled.

With the sea monsters in the water, escaping was not easy.

All they could do was struggle and try to get away.

So lee fighters thought they could have a go at Li Yao, but seeing what happened to the rogue made them think again.

Once all the players had gone underwater, Li Yao put away his bow. He calmly said, “Shengshi Guild, this won’t be the end of it. If you want to get , don’t bla for retaliating.”…
