Chapter 497: Explosive News
Finally, Li Yao had a rough idea of the second boss, though it was still a bit blurred. Without overthinking, he quickly fell into a sound sleep.
He had been exhausted these few days. Just strategizing took a large toll on his spiritual power, not to ntion the effort required to command.
Others might just notice his smooth commanding and his consistently high player damage output, dropping only to second place occasionally. But who could understand how stunningly his spiritual power was being consud?
If he were not continually simulating the centaur’s movents in his mind, taking down this challenging boss in three attempts would have been a pipe dream.
Yet, Li Yao wasn’t able to sleep for long as he was awoken by Qin Feng Yi’s communication.
“What’s going on? Why aren’t you getting so rest? You’ve been juggling dungeon runs, training in the outside world, and gathering intelligence these past few days. You must be exhausted.” Li Yao looked at the ti. He had only slept for four hours.
“How can I rest at a ti like this? There’s a big problem.” Qin Feng Yi had dark circles under her eyes, a clear sign of lack of sleep. But there was a gleam of excitent in her eyes. Apparently, so significant event had happened.
“Big problem? What big problem?” Li Yao asked curiously.
Qin Feng Yi said, “It is about the dungeon. Turns out, the Devil Alliance didn’t defeat the second boss; they defeated the third boss.”
Li Yao was taken aback and said, “I suspected as much. If it was only one boss, they couldn’t possibly have had so much equipnt.”
“Not that. There are two stunning pieces of news. The first one is about the equipnt you have ntioned. Guess what?” Qin Feng Yi smiled brilliantly.
“Don’t keep in suspense. Just say it. No matter what the news is, make sure to get so rest after you tell . I can handle the rest of the things,” Li Yao said with concern.
“Alright, I got it. I’ll take a bath and rest right after I tell you,” Qin Feng Yi said, “Firstly, regarding the equipnt. Do you know, other than the equipnt from the first boss, after defeating the second and third bosses, it showed that they cleared the dungeon. But here’s the catch: from the second boss onward, all the equipnt disappeared.”
Although Li Yao knew this would happen, he acted surprised and said, “Disappeared?”
Qin Feng Yi said, “Yes, not entirely disappeared though. The equipnt has a countdown tir, and it will disappear after forty-eight hours.”
“Well, then they’re in for quite the spectacle,” Li Yao laughed.
“More than that. The second piece of news is even more shocking. It showed that they cleared the dungeon, but there was no First Kill notification. The Devil Alliance is going mad. They’re accusing others on the forum and complaining to the ga authorities,” Qin Feng Yi laughed, “You guessed it right. Our approach must be correct. There’s no doubt about it.”
“In that case, I’m relieved. You ntioned not being able to get the First Kill, and it did give a start. But now, it seems like the problem was with their approach,” Li Yao nodded.
“Yes, this has blown up because of the Devil Alliance. The ga authorities had no choice but to explain that although they cleared the dungeon, it was just a simpler way. The authorities said that the correct thod is far too dominant, so this alternate approach lets players get so temporary gear and figure out the correct thod to clear the dungeon. Oh, I can’t handle this. It’s too funny,” Qin Feng Yi laughed for a bit before continuing, “The Devil Alliance mbers are about to burst with anger.”
“This is indeed a depressing situation. They thought they got the First Kill, but it turned out to be nothing,” Li Yao shook his head, “The Devil Alliance really is unfortunate. If what you said is true, they could have got so temporary but powerful gear by clearing the dungeon this way. They originally had the upper hand in many gas, but after making such a big deal out of this, the other guilds must be in chaos.”
Qin Feng Yi nodded and said, “Isn’t that the truth? The guilds are going crazy right now. Many of them are cursing the ga authorities while looking for the correct way to clear the dungeon. So people thought of removing the outposts, but with just twenty-five people and eighteen thousand coins for six outposts, it’s too horrifying. If it weren’t for your craziness and the trust of the mbers, we wouldn’t choose this reckless approach either. Thankfully, we made the right choice.”
“We are ahead of everyone else by one boss now. We are not the ones who need to worry,” Li Yao knew this would happen. He just didn’t expect other guilds to find out so quickly.
“What’s our plan? Are we assembling mbers to continue exploring?” Qin Feng Yi asked.
“There’s no need to rush. You seem to have forgotten; six outposts aren’t that easy to remove. Even if they do remove them, it’s not a problem. They will be stuck at the boss stage for at least one or two days. We might have already defeated the second boss by then. Rember the saying: Sharpening your axe will not delay the work of cutting wood,” Li Yao confidently said.
“Alright, as long as you have got it under control. Then, get so rest, you are the one who’s most tired.” A soft look flashed in Qin Feng Yi’s eyes.
“I know. But I have rested enough. You should get so sleep. I’ll wake you up in four hours,” Li Yao said.
“Alright, it seems like you are planning sothing,” Qin Feng Yi smiled softly.
“Haha, go to sleep now. Wake up and enjoy the show, and that’s it,” Li Yao didn’t elaborate.
“Ok, rember to wake up early. I’m not very tired.”
“Sure thing,” Li Yao said and ended the communication.
Then he imdiately logged into the forum and the official website. As expected, the forum was bustling with activity. Everyone was discussing one topic: the main storyline dungeon.
Many famous IDs erged, and the entire forum was in chaos, especially the mbers of the Devil Alliance. They were going crazy. They had barely managed to clear the dungeon, but they missed out on the First Kill and didn’t even get any equipnt.
Poor them played calculating gas so much that they even produced video tutorials. But no matter what their intentions were with these tutorials since the dungeon wasn’t ant to be cleared like this, their tactics were worthless.
The Devil Alliance had utterly failed this ti. They didn’t expect Li Yao to be such a ga-changer and were humiliated in reality and now again, the tables had turned in the ga. They were utterly depressed.
Li Yao browsed the forum for a while and then logged in to the ga, only to find many private ssages.
There were ssages from familiar and unfamiliar contacts. He didn’t bother checking the ones from people who weren’t his friends.
Then he was left with ssages from his guild mbers, friends like Flaming Red Lips, Vast Horizon, and even ssages from Brother Wanderer 2.
Without exception, they all enquired about the dungeon incident. Li Yao directly called Vast Horizon.
“Hey there, buddy. It’s about ti you logged in. With such a significant event happening, I can’t believe you had the heart to log off,” Vast Horizon anxiously answered the call…
