Chapter 287: Nail to Death (Seeking Subscription)

Harpies, too, are an ancient race. In the ancient tis, they and their ancestors, renowned as Aenna, the Bird God of The Ancient God World, joined the war against the Demon Legion invading from the twisted Void.

The Bird God was swallowed up in the endless tide of demons and beca a hero worshipped by all races. Today, statues and temples of the Bird God still stand at the pinnacle of the world, worshipped by countless ancient elves.

However, many years have passed, and the directionless harpies were seduced and corrupted by a wicked bird demigod. They beca bloodthirsty, cold, xenophobic, and raging.

They would attack any race that approached their territory, even occasionally attacking the territories of the three major alliances.

Li Yao was sneaking and gradually approaching the coordinates, surrounded by level-ten harpies.

However, most of the harpies were ordinary monsters, or rarely elite. As Li Yao was now at level fifteen, as long as he was careful, it would be hard for the harpies to notice soone quietly infiltrating.

Harpies also live in a typical matriarchal society, and they are only females. Even though they have feathers and wings, they still hold a different kind of charm. They often capture the males of other races as their spouses.

Their houses are quite simple but clean, often built on either side of the cliff or on large trees.

Li Yao knew very well that later in the higher levels, there would be many missions to redeem the harpies, to return them to the side of the three major alliances, and finally, there would be a special ritual to resurrect the Bird God.

But Li Yao wouldn’t deal with these matters now, but instead, he quickly approached his target. His Fire Hawk had already detected the presence of the enemy.

The elite squads of the Arna Guild were scattered into small teams in the elite harpy monster spawn area, leveling up in teams, or looking for so special quest items.

The Red Wasteland had many complex canyons. This region was very desolate, with only so resilient wild creatures, and few ordinary creatures able to live here.

However, the towering cliffs on both sides of these canyons had beco an ideal dwelling place for the harpies, and there were many simple houses hanging on both sides of the canyon.

These canyons are very spacious at the bottom, but quite narrow at the top, so cliffs even being only a dozen yards apart. Of course, so places are also connected together, like bridges.

Li Yao found the location of the Arna Guild’s elite squads, chose a place and climbed to the top of the canyon’s cliff.

There were basically no creatures at the top of the cliff, and the sun was extrely scorching, the terrain was also incredibly rugged and complicated.

And although the cliffs were not high, they were still around three hundred yards tall, which was simply too high for the players, an insurmountable hurdle.

However, for Li Yao who had wings, the ability to jump and Magic Spider Silk, it was straightforward.

Felt, the president of the Arna Guild, is in his pri and at his peak strength. Their squad was very powerful, too.

Felt was both the president and the trump card of the squad. At the mont, Arna was leveling up steadily with the mbers of their squad, under the protection of the guild’s elites.

It was a tradition. Generally, mbers of the squad, unless necessary, would not participate in guild battles and the likes, just to maintain their levels and equipnt, keeping in the best condition.

The squad mbers were divided into two small teams, team one and team two, dealing with the elite harpies. Even though he couldn’t hear what they were saying, by looking at their relaxed and joyful expressions, it was evident that their mood was excellent at the mont.

Li Yao scanned around and finally locked onto a warlock who had a succubus by his side. His Fla Spell was not the dark red of a typical warlock, but pure orange.

“A Crimson Warlock, huh, a glass cannon.” Li Yao slowly approached and gradually climbed to the cliff above them.

“The experience here is fantastic, and we can complete guild assignnts along the way. It really is a great place.” The main priest of the Cecil Squad, a red-haired woman, laughed and said.

“Mainly because of our president’s prowess, he was able to analyze the advantages of this place. It’s a pity that we also have to allow the other two guilds to take advantage.” Guild Rogue Alberta said while attacking a harpy from behind.

“Mutual benefit, understand? Prosperous Era and Lake Hill are our allies. We not only reap the benefits together, but we also share the risks,” explained Felt patiently.

“Our boss surely is foresighted. For example, when dealing with the Starfire Guild. If we were to handle it on our own, while it wouldn’t cripple us, it would have left us hurting. However, when three guilds work together, the losses incurred are negligible to us,” Tank chuckled, adjusting his position to deflect a spell from a distant Harpy Eagle in the process.

“Exactly, as Louis ntioned, we can now peacefully level up while only sacrificing a few pawns. In contrast, the Starfire Guild won’t have such peace. Prairie Fire might be formidable, but what good is that if his elite mbers can’t keep up? A guild, after all, is about teamwork, not solitary heroism. Within a month, the Starfire guild will be ruined,” Felt was brimming with confidence.

Indeed, that would be the case if they were to continue on this path. The Starfire Guild wouldn’t possibly withstand this onslaught. However, what they didn’t anticipate was Li Yao waiting for them from above, hunting them down like prey.

Furthermore, while they were busy savoring their victory, a tiger was ready to pounce – a tiger nad Li Yao.

Li Yao took a deep breath, pulled out his Flying Eagle Bow, gradually drew the bowstring, and then suddenly jumped off a 300-yard cliff.

With barely opened eyes, Li Yao had successfully locked onto his prey – Felt, the head of the Arna Guild.

“Lads, look up, face the cara, exactly, smiley, say Eggplant,” he taunted.

The team, occupied with the ongoing battle, heard the voice and instinctively looked upwards, but they couldn’t see anything.

But before they could even process their confusion, a yellow Charged Arrow materialized abruptly just thirty yards above them.

“Dodge it!” was the first thought that popped into their minds.

However, it was too late. From the start, Li Yao was incredibly close to them. The Charged Arrow was powerful, especially under the enhancent of Li Yao’s Bull Strength, multiplying the arrow’s strength several tis – it was as fast as a bolt of lightning.

By the ti they saw the golden light, it was already too late. This ti, Li Yao used the Steel Arrow.

When they finally gasped, the Steel Arrow with a golden glow had already pierced Felt’s chest.

Felt’s body was carried away by the montum of the Steel Arrow. His face showed shock and bewildernt, his expression frozen at that very mont.

His life was imdiately reduced to zero, and like a dead dog, he was nailed to the ground by the Steel Arrow.

Li Yao’s fading outline was revealed due to the firing of the Charged Arrow. As he was about to land, he perford a Shadow Roll to cancel out the impact, then summoned Death God 4000.

Click click click…

Li Yao seamlessly climbed into Death God 4000.

“Prairie Fire, it’s actually Prairie Fire.”

“Impossible, how could he be here?”

“It’s Prairie Fire, kill him!”

“Our Guild Leader is already dead.”

A few team mbers’ eyes turned red in an instant…
