Chapter 1478: Chapter 1478: Dispute
Seeing Li Yao take out a team so easily, not to ntion ordinary players, even those from other guilds were frightened out of their wits.
Li Yao was able to annihilate a team from such a long distance, what team could possibly stand against him?
Unless a lee fighter took out Li Yao first, there seed to be no other chance of success, but the problem was, getting close to Li Yao was extrely difficult.
Players from guilds whose teams had entered the second phase were all praying, hoping that their teams wouldn’t encounter Li Yao.
Long-range damage was simply too terrifying, and the arrows were too fast, leaving no chance to dodge.
It’s assud that only players with rapid movent abilities could hold on for a bit, but with such precise archery, even if they could dodge one arrow, how much longer could they keep dodging?
Especially for so alien players, this was a devastating blow to their confidence.
Similarly, they all hoped that their teams, or the ones they supported, would not encounter Li Yao at least before the final battle; otherwise, they were dood to fail.
Li Yao didn’t care about what others thought. Using the Mind’s Eye Shot wasn’t really his trump card, nor did he intend to intimidate anyone. He purely used it here to end the battle as quickly as possible.
The competition for the first kill would not be decided by a single skill. Plus, this skill could only be used as a technique and did not increase the power of the arrows.
Frankly, the damage of the arrows ultimately depended on Li Yao’s personal attributes.
The Mind’s Eye Shot allowed Li Yao to hit targets that were more difficult to hit or hidden, and it wasn’t guaranteed to hit 100% of the ti. The accuracy still depended on the individual’s control of their spiritual power.
The Mind’s Eye Shot is an assist; if Li Yao’s attributes are not strong enough to instantly kill the opponent, then even if the Mind’s Eye Shot hits, it would be useless.
Ultimately, strength still depended on personal ability and could not be seen as a special move to turn the tide.
But the audience didn’t know that. Seeing Li Yao so cleanly take down his opponents, they all thought it was due to the strength of the skill.
Naturally, they were exceedingly enthusiastic about this skill, especially players of the Hunter class who were going crazy over it.
What’s the biggest factor affecting Hunter players forming teams? Are Hunters weak? Of course not. It’s the hit problem of arrows. If everyone could learn this skill, why worry about the accuracy of arrows?
That’s the real reaction of those Hunters seeing this skill.
However, Li Yao felt that the stuff worth teaching had already been taught. Even if these advanced techniques and skills were shared now, no one at the current stage would be able to learn them.
Just the spiritual power alone would be far from eting the requirents, so even though Li Yao knew about the skills being livestread, he didn’t provide explicit explanations. This led to so trolls claiming Li Yao was stingy, only teaching so superficial techniques while keeping the truly good skills secret.
Li Yao did not see these comnts, but even if he had, he would not have responded. Having been reborn, he had his own way of doing things and wouldn’t be swayed by what others said.
Several people continued on their journey, and the Black Dragon Queen had already been dismissed by Li Yao; otherwise, the two Green Dragons would have felt sowhat restrained.
As for those Lizardn, the Black Dragon Queen could have maintained control over them indefinitely, but Li Yao believed there was no need for that. Even though the Lizardn were elite, they would affect the travel speed due to the need for dissipation of heat, and more crucially, they made it easier to expose their target.
Up to now, the two female dragons had very different views of Li Yao. Without delving into other aspects, the re fact that he could make the Black Dragon Queen submit—sincerely or just on the surface—spoke volus.
Thus, even the young Green Dragon girl no longer looked down upon Li Yao with her initial contempt.
“The arrow you just released… it wasn’t really the Godslayer Arrow, was it? But that’s impossible. The God Slaying Sword can only unleash three arrows a day with the Divine Power of a higher being, and you released more than a dozen arrows and yet, you seem none the worse for wear. It must be so other similar technique,” the young Green Dragon girl asked, unable to contain her curiosity.
Li Yao shrugged and said, “If you think it is, then so it is.”
The Green Dragon girl unsatisfied, said, “What do you an ‘if you think it is, then so it is’? If it is, it is; if it is not, it is not. Can’t you just give a straight answer?”
Li Yao helplessly replied, “It’s clear that you’ve witnessed the truth, yet you deceive yourself by not trusting your own judgnt. How is that my concern? Besides, whether it’s the Godslayer Arrow or not, I know the truth, and that’s enough. Whether others believe it or not is their prerogative.”
“You…” The Green Dragon girl glared at him angrily, her impetuous temper almost getting the better of her. But then she considered the Black Dragon Queen and Li Yao’s inscrutable mind, realizing that even if she returned to her true form, she probably couldn’t withstand such terrifying arrows.
“Alright, whether it is the Godslayer Arrow or not, you’ve at least proven your strength, and you’ve also affird your identity that you truly an no harm. Shouldn’t this put your mind at ease?”
The words of the Green Dragon Princess were directed both at the young Green Dragon girl and Li Yao. Such graceful words coming from a noble of the Dragon Clan, let alone royalty, were indeed not easy to speak.
Li Yao simply followed along, and after traveling for another hour through various passageways, almost three hours had passed when the young Green Dragon girl finally stopped and released her Nightmare Magic.
Li Yao couldn’t help comnting, “You still like to play little tricks, huh? We could have taken other passageways just a mont ago and saved at least half an hour. By taking this roundabout route, if I truly had ill intentions, would it prevent from finding my way here?”
The complexion of the Green Dragon Princess changed as she hurriedly explained, “Sir, you’ve misunderstood. We too do not know the exact hiding place of our kin, but by sensing the Nightmare coordinates, we gauge the location. Besides, if the distance is too great, we can’t pinpoint the exact spot and must slowly ho in on it.”
Li Yao nodded; true or false, he needed an explanation. Otherwise, he might really start to think they were treating him like a fool.
With the incantation, a Nightmare Portal appeared, and a group of Draconids erged. Upon seeing the two Green Dragons, they were overjoyed.
Upon entering the portal, they found themselves in a green world, where a multitude of Draconids and Green Dragons were stirred. They had thought that their beloved princess had sacrificed herself to protect them, but finding her alive and searching for them dispelled the despondent atmosphere.
Li Yao was arranged to rest in a cave and was only brought to a command room half an hour later, a place reserved for a few high-ranking mbers of the Dragon Clan.
However, when Li Yao saw two players there, he imdiately felt an ominous premonition—his first thought was that competitors for the mission had appeared.
And upon seeing Li Yao, the complexions of the two Druid players changed dramatically. Clearly, in their eyes, Li Yao was the one who was after their mission.
Li Yao felt a subtle spark of hostility in the eyes of the two Druid players; they were extrely unwelcoming to his presence, and their facial expressions were downright ugly…
