"Right, where was the black mage when Prince Leon sent one to ambush ," Kate said in a bewildered tone.
Lei Zhen shrugged his shoulders.
"Don't ask . I'm not even sure either where and what the black mage is currently planning. Hence, I have not made a drastic move yet against the two princes." He said calmly.
For a cautious man like him, anything that is inexplicable or unknown will make him uncomfortable.
So far, the black mage's strength and appearance alone were suspicious enough.
Like why would they help the princes in their royal matters? Wouldn't they know the risk involved in it?
Sure, let's pretend that the black mage had no other choice but to assist the princes.
Then what was the problem that caused a black mage to be so helpless that he needed the princes' help?
All these had been going on in his mind ever since they joined the war.

Unable to hold her laughter, Griselda made a small 'Puchi' laugh sound. She did not expect Lei Zhen to have a knack for cracking up jokes with a serious face.
It wasn't any better for Kate as she really didn't want to laugh, but coming from Lei Zhen's mouth simply added another layer of cody to it.
"Haha, this is too much…" Griselda wiped off so tears as she couldn't believe what she had heard.
As for Kate, she had finally regained her composure, trying to act like she didn't lose control of her behavior.
anwhile, Lei Zhen continued with his words, almost acting as if his codic words didn't happen at all.
"Anyway, as I was speaking before being rudely interrupted by laughter. The two princes are top-tier idiots for continuously falling into my childish tricks. Hence, there's no way that these two princes could actually commit such a major act of rebellion unless soone was behind them, controlling them from the shadows."
As soon as Lei Zhen finished his words, it was like an imaginary lightning strike had resounded in the room.
"Then what do we do?" Kate asked, her eyes looking right at Lei Zhen. Even she didn't realize or know when she had begun to rely on him for everything.
Her usual decisiveness and dominance had subsided whenever she was in the presence of Lei Zhen.
Lei Zhen smirked and calmly said, "Of course, we'll agree to the temporary truce and et up in the demilitarized zone. I'll need to see for myself their appearance and wonder if their brains are made out of maggots."
With that said, Griselda nodded her head and dismissed herself, most likely making the necessary arrangent.
After Griselda left the scene, Kate was standing still in her position, not knowing what else to say.
"Umm, you have been sitting here all the ti and rarely move your body. Do you want to go outside and take a walk to exercise your body a bit?" She asked nervously.
Although Lei Zhen wanted to refuse her request initially, he paused himself when he saw Kate fidgeting her fingers and blushing slightly.
'Maybe she's concerned about my health and offered an excuse to move my body around.' Lei Zhen thought.
It was true that ever since he joined this faction, he had not been able to be on the frontline fighting personally. In fact, he was more of a scholar than a player at this mont.
It was always him talking and commanding, but never him going out to fight and earn so experience.
However, everything was understandable since he was still cursed by the Ferold's Ring effect, so going out to fight would be pointless anyway given that his next required experience points were a lot.
It was around the ten-thousands digit and the diocre experience points aren't even enough to fill at least 1 percent of the experience bar.
"You're right, Kate. My body is slightly sore from sitting all the ti and reading multiple docunts." Lei Zhen organized his desk and agreed to her request.

The dical center was built to cater to the injured soldiers that were fighting on the frontline. And luckily, with the mass recruitnts of players, so of them are healer class so the injured soldiers could recover rather quickly.
Despite that, the number of casualties was still in the thousands and it once again reminded him how deadly and realistic this world was.
The players could always respawn and retry, but for the NPC soldiers, their death is permanent.
After putting on a cloak, Lei Zhen and Kate began strolling down the path.
Along the way, they saw new recruits patrolling the area and so were still training. And when they saw Lei Zhen and Kate walking, they would stop their action temporarily to give them respectful greetings.
Seeing the excited look and motivated soldiers. It was truly a different sight from the beginning days.
At the beginning of the war, everyone had worried looks and thought Kate would lose drastically, but as things progressed further, their negative expectations were completely shattered.
By this ti, people also knew that this rebellion is nearing its end, and the most likely winner is Princess Kate.
Both the princes had lost all the battles so far and their army count continuously decreased whereas Princess Kate had more and more people applying to join the army.
"Do you see this result, Chancellor? This is all thanks to your hard work and organization that we have managed to co this far." Kate said and smiled brightly.
She didn't call his real na in public because she knew he wanted to hide his identity. Plus, this was a great chance to call him chancellor in public which he can not deny like he always did in private.
"You are getting more and more devious, Princess Kate." Lei Zhen leaned close to her ears and whispered.
