Tang Qiaolian tried to brush it off with the comnt 'usual drama' but Lei Zhen wasn't going to let her go easily.
"Qiaolian, this behavior of yours is completely unlike you." Lei Zhen said in a solemn tone.
"If I don't have a gist of a reason for you to behave in such a manner, then I'm afraid it would be unwise of to let you stay overnight."
Of course, it was a lie and he rely wanted to scare her a bit so that she would explain things to him. After all, if she was facing so difficulties, then he would try his best to help her out.
When he was extrely desperate for assistance, it was Tang Qiaolian that had co out and assisted him. Hence, he vowed to himself that he would help her out if she was to et with any difficulties.
anwhile, Tang Qiaolian started laughing as she clutched her stomach. "Haha, Lei Zhen, did you really think I t with so difficulties?"
Tears were seeping out of the corner of her eyes due to laughing so wildly.
"Lei Zhen, it was just that my dumb father was bugging far too much about getting a partner considering my age. And I wanted to tick him off by leaving the house and not return for a while." She finally revealed the truth.
Lei Zhen, on the other hand, was rendered speechless by her revelation. No wonder why she brushed it off as the 'usual drama'. Her father wanted her to have a significant other since she wasn't young anymore, but obviously, Tang Qiaolian had other thought processes and refused to randomly date soone.
Placing his hand at his face, Lei Zhen realized he was sohow embroiled in her ploy.
"Even if you wanted to scare your father a bit, did you really have to choose my rundown apartnt out of everyone you knew?" He asked in disbelief.
"Tsk, it's not like you don't know those so-called friends of mine are only trying to interact with because of my connection and the relationship I have with my father." Tang Qiaolian clicked her tongue and sat down in the living room, not minding the narrow space.
"If I were to rely on them, then my father could find so easily. Plus, I want him to know that if he continues to pressure , then I will live like this forever."
Lei Zhen shook his head in defeat. She was indirectly calling out his poor upbringing and it was like an arrow had pierced his bleeding heart.
"So you decided to choose my place because your father would not expect that you would co to such a poor neighborhood, right?" He asked calmly.
Tang Qiaolian nodded her head.
And with a bright smile, she said, "You wouldn't kick out, right? I know it's childish of to be doing this at my age, but still, I want him to know that this isn't the old era anymore. This is a technological era where our world has advanced to an impossible degree."
Lei Zhen didn't bother any more as he pointed at his bed, "Over there is where you can sleep. However, as I've said, there is no door for the bed so you can't even lock it. So do you still dare to risk your purity considering how I can have the chance to violate you?"
He started showing a wicked grin, seemingly trying to frighten her to stop fooling around.
Alas, Tang Qiaolian was calm and collected. "If you want to violate , then, by all ans, go ahead. I'm at your disposal."
After that, she yawned for a bit and staggered toward the bed as she plopped her body there, feeling the comfy pillow.
"Good night," she said and grabbed a blanket to cover herself. Not an ounce of fear or doubt was shown in her behavior.
'Sigh, I have finally seen Qiaolian's true color…' Lei Zhen mauled inwardly as he glanced at the MagnoPod. He wanted to play the ga as well, but he was tired from the night shift.
It was his first day at work and despite having barely any custors, his fatigue had gotten the best of him.
Thus, Lei Zhen lay on the ground and slowly fell asleep. In this rundown apartnt, no one could have thought a wealthy heiress would be sleeping here.

By the ti morning arrived, Tang Qiaolian woke up from the aromatic fragrance she was slling. Her stomach rumbled for a few seconds as she slowly opened her eyelids.
Her nose was sniffing through the fragrance and asked in a low tone, "What is this sll?"
She didn't expect a response, but to her surprise, Lei Zhen calmly replied while he was in the kitchen, "I'm just cooking so olet fried rice for breakfast."
And he continued, "Rest assured, it's a light dish despite being fried rice."
Tang Qiaolian hazily nodded her head and struggled to get up from the bed. She had worked a 36-hour shift before which was the reason why she fell asleep so quickly last night.
"Where's the bathroom?" She asked him.
"The bathroom is on the left side of the bed and there are so new toothbrushes and towels in the cabinet for you to use." Lei Zhen explained.
pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ Tang Qiaolian didn't bother to respond as she made her way toward the bathroom and found the new toothbrushes. Upon seeing the clean sink, she believed Lei Zhen must have cleaned his apartnt thoroughly to accommodate her.
After all, when she first entered the apartnt, it was pretty ssy everywhere. However, she couldn't spot a speck of single dirt or ss around the apartnt anymore.
'His body and speech look like he wanted out of the apartnt as soon as possible. Yet his heart was still willing to accept and made all these preparations,' Tang Qiaolian suddenly smiled briefly as she glanced at the wall where Lei Zhen was behind it.
Within her heart, she felt a gush of warmth rising up-- sothing that she had never felt in the past despite her wealth.
"What a silly yet gentle man…"
