"Ladies and gentlen, welco back to another episode of Chin Checked, your ho for everything MMA, from local undercards to international showdowns, technical breakdowns, and everything happening across the divisions."

The intro music faded under the voice, simple, clean, and unmistakably MMA-focused.

"Today’s episode is packed. We’ll be diving into the updated middleweight rankings following the recent qualifiers, the state of the welterweight division, and who’s quietly climbing up the lightweight charts. We’ve got analyst takes, updated matchups, and so early predictions for what’s shaping up to be one of the most competitive World MMA Tournants in years."

A pause followed, letting the tone shift slightly.

"We’ll also be breaking down fight tape from last weekend’s events, highlighting three standout performances, and looking at tactical shifts from so of the top-ranked contenders. No gossip, just pure fight talk."

The voice settled.

"So whether you’re in the gym, driving, or just catching up, you’re locked into Chin Checked. Let’s get started. I’m your host, Marcus Dean, and today, we’ve got a special guest joining us. He’s the UFA middleweight interim champion, the man who’s about to step into The Supre Fighter as one of this season’s coaches, Ivan Novak."

The screen split. Ivan sat calmly in a dark hoodie, posture straight, no fake smile.

"Glad to be here," he said, voice even.

Marcus nodded. "Alright, let’s jump straight in. You’re officially a coach on The Supre Fighter. Big move. Was this sothing you campaigned for?"

Ivan shook his head. "No. I didn’t ask. UFA offered. They said I’m coaching. I said yes."

"Just like that?"

"I don’t say no to fights or to opportunities. If this brings closer to unifying the belt, I’ll do it."

Marcus leaned forward. "Let’s be real. Everyone knows why this is happening. You and Damon Cross. Double champ. The guy with the belt you need to unify the division. This season’s not just about the prospects, it’s about setting up your fight with him."

Ivan looked directly at the cara. "Good. That’s exactly how it should be. No more waiting. No more side fights. and him. That’s the one."

"Do you think this gives you an edge? Spending ti opposite him, watching how he works, how he thinks?"

Ivan smirked slightly. "I already know what I need to know. He’s a good fighter. Fast. Smart. Dangerous. But I’ve been studying him since the day he won the belt. This just puts us in the sa room."

"You don’t think coaching pulls focus? You’re training guys, filming a show, staying sharp. That’s a lot."

"I train every day. Caras or not. If anything, this makes it easier. I stay in fight shape. I keep my team ready. And I get to watch him up close."

Marcus nodded slowly. "And you’re not just any coach. You’re an interim champ. You’ve been dominant in your fights. What do you bring to these fighters on your team?"

"Discipline. Pressure. If they survive my training, they’ll be ready for anything. If they can’t, they don’t belong here."

"And Damon?"

Ivan exhaled. "I don’t care how many belts he has. When we fight, it’s one on one. Belts don’t block punches."

"That fight is already being called the biggest middleweight clash in UFA history. Two champions. Just the best vs. the best."

Marcus leaned in a little closer, his tone shifting just enough to signal the transition.

"Okay, while we’re on the topic of greatness, I want to bring sothing up that’s been circulating in the MMA community. I saw an older video of you listing your all-ti GOATs, and that brings us to a current na being thrown around a lot."

He paused for effect, then continued.

"Damon Cross. Twenty-four years old. Tied with Jas Jonas as the youngest champion in UFA history. He’s dominated the World Middleweight Tournant twice. He’s a two-division champ, holds the longest win streak in UFA history, and after beating Tereira to take the light heavyweight title, he passed Eslum to beco the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the UFA. Still undefeated."

He let the words sit for a mont before finishing the question.

"I’m listing all this because a growing number of fans, and even so analysts, are calling him the GOAT already. Do you agree with that? And do you think this is the biggest fight of your career? If not the GOAT yet, what do you think Damon still needs to do to truly earn that status?"

Ivan didn’t answer right away. He looked off-screen for a second, then back into the cara.

"Well," he said plainly, "yeah. This is the biggest fight of my career. No doubt. It’s my first title shot. And it’s against a guy who’s done all the things you just listed. That speaks for itself."

He shifted slightly in his seat, thinking.

"As for him being the GOAT..." Ivan nodded slowly. "He’s close. Really close. If he beats , I think yeah, he’ll have a legit claim. His résumé is solid. Dominant. He’s earned what he’s got."

Then he added with no hesitation.

"But if I beat him? Then that all cos to . You take out the guy on top, that changes the conversation. If I beat him, I think I should be in that GOAT talk too."

He rested back in his chair for a mont before leaning forward slightly.

"And look, no disrespect to anyone, but Damon hasn’t fought so of the top nas in their pri. That’s just the truth. He’s been amazing, but I’m not sure he’s been tested by soone who’s hungry, dangerous, and at their peak. That’s what I bring."

Marcus nodded, not interrupting.

"I respect him. I’m not downplaying what he’s done. But I’m here to give him that kind of fight. If he wins, he’ll have earned everything they say about him. But if he doesn’t? Then we reset the story and give it a different na."

Marcus went quiet for a second, lips pressed together. It wasn’t the kind of answer he expected, but it was clear Ivan wasn’t there to play nice.

He let out a short laugh, keeping things light on the surface.

"Alright," Marcus said, "you’re not lacking confidence, I’ll give you that."

He shifted in his chair, then looked back at the cara.

"So let’s get into it. Everyone’s asking the sa thing, if you really believe you’re going to end Damon’s reign, then how does it happen? Give us the prediction. Round and thod."

Ivan didn’t hesitate.

"Third round," he said. "TKO. I’ll break him down slowly. He’s explosive, so I won’t rush. But once I get the rhythm, I’ll pressure him. His gas tank won’t carry him through if I make him work. By the third, I’ll walk him down and finish it."

Marcus raised an eyebrow. "You think you’ll wear out Damon Cross? The guy who went five rounds with Tereira and looked fresh in the fifth?"

Ivan nodded, calm. "That’s because no one made him uncomfortable. They let him set the pace. I won’t. I don’t freeze. I don’t wait. He’s never fought soone like ."

Marcus glanced at the notes in front of him, then gave a slow shake of the head.

"Well, you heard it here first. Ivan Novak says third-round TKO. That’s bold."

Ivan didn’t blink. "It’s not bold. It’s what I’ve trained for."

Marcus leaned back again. "Alright. I guess we’ll see when the season kicks off. Supre Fighter, two champs coaching against each other, all leading to the biggest title fight in UFA middleweight history."

Ivan gave a short nod. "He’s the best. I’ll give him that. But the belt doesn’t move with hype. It moves with fists."

Marcus gave a tight smile. "Fair enough. Thanks for joining us, Ivan. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out."

The screen cut back to Marcus alone.

"Well, that was Ivan Novak, interim champ, Supre Fighter coach, and clearly a man who believes he’s got the tools to take down Damon Cross. Let us know what you think. Does he have a shot? Or will Damon keep adding to his legacy?"

He looked into the cara.

"This has been Chin Checked. Don’t forget to subscribe, and we’ll see you in the next one."

End of episode.
