In the back, Svetlana stood near the room where Damon would return, her eyes fixed on the small screen replaying his victory.

The submission was shown from every angle, the comntators analyzing his brilliance.

A bright smile spread across her face as pride swelled within her.

"That's my man," she murmured to herself, watching as Damon's arm was raised in triumph.

She was so focused on the screen that she didn't notice soone approaching until he was standing right beside her.

"Hey there," a young man said, his tone casual but laced with intent. He was dressed sharply, his confidence practically dripping off him. "You enjoying the fights?"

Svetlana didn't glance at him, her eyes still locked on the screen. "Yeah," she said curtly, her focus unwavering.

The young man leaned in slightly, clearly unfazed by her lack of attention. "You know, I've got a good view too, but I figured I'd get a closer look at sothing more interesting." He grinned, his attempt at charm falling flat. Experience tales with empire

Svetlana didn't even flinch, her expression unchanging as she watched Damon on the screen.

Not deterred, the young man pressed on. "So, uh, you here alone? Got a boyfriend, or are you single?" He leaned back slightly, flexing his arms in an exaggerated manner.

"Because, you know, I'm pretty connected. I actually know a UFA fighter."

Svetlana finally shifted her gaze, but not to him.

She pointed at the screen, where Damon's replay was still running. "Him. That's my boyfriend," she said simply, her voice steady and unimpressed.

The guy blinked, his confidence faltering for a mont before he laughed awkwardly. "Oh, co on. You're joking, right? You an Damon Cross? Nah, he's not your boyfriend. You're just ssing with ."

Svetlana turned her attention back to the screen, her smile softening as Damon's face filled the fra during his post-fight celebration. She didn't bother responding.

He hesitated, unsure whether to believe her or keep trying. "Seriously? Damon Cross? That's who you're claiming?" he asked, his tone a mix of disbelief and amusent.

As the guy tried to keep his ga going, his voice took on a slightly desperate edge.

He glanced around and heard so chatter behind him, a few of his friends whispering about the bet they'd made.

A thousand bucks to the first one to leave with a girl tonight.

"Alright," he said, forcing confidence back into his voice. "How about you just give your number, and we'll see where things go?"

Svetlana didn't even flinch, her focus still on the screen.

Damon's fight replayed once again, and her attention remained entirely on it.

Frustration crept into the man's posture, but when his gaze shifted to the corner of the hallway, his heart sank.

A large group approached, but it wasn't just any group.

Leading them was a massive figure, a towering presence with broad shoulders, a chiseled fra, and an unmistakable intensity.

Damon Cross.

The young man froze, his bravado evaporating in an instant.

His mouth went dry as he realized who Svetlana had been pointing to all along.

This wasn't just her boyfriend, but the sa beast he'd been watching on the screen not long ago.

On the screen, he didn't look that big.

The thought of sticking around now seed less like confidence and more like suicide.

As Damon closed the distance, the guy shrank back, trying to slip into the shadows without making a scene.

He wanted no part of what could happen next.

Damon's focus, however, was solely on Svetlana.

He walked up to her, his steps steady but casual.

She turned when she heard him approach, her face lighting up instantly.

Damon wasted no ti, wrapping his arms around her and planting a firm but affectionate kiss on her lips.

Svetlana lted into the embrace, her earlier annoyance forgotten.

When they parted, Damon grinned. "Alright, I'm sweaty," he chuckled, brushing a hand through his damp hair.

Svetlana smirked. "Doesn't bother ," she replied softly, her hand lingering on his chest.

Without sparing a glance at the man who had been pestering her, Damon shifted his arm around Svetlana's shoulders and led her away.

If the guy was still lingering nearby, he was as good as invisible to both of them now.

Svetlana smiled, leaning closer to Damon. "You know," she began with a teasing tone, "that guy over there was hitting on ."

Damon blinked, glancing around. "What guy?" he asked, genuinely confused.

She giggled, thinking he was roasting the poor guy.

"Right there. He was standing there the whole ti."

Damon squinted slightly, his brow furrowed. "Seriously? I didn't see anyone."

Svetlana's laughter bubbled out, her head tilting back slightly. "Oh my God, you're too much," she said, thinking Damon was playing dumb to make a joke.

But deep down, Damon genuinely hadn't noticed the man.

He had been so focused on Svetlana that the rest of the world blurred into the background. "Must've been too busy looking at you," he said with a shrug, brushing off the thought.

Svetlana grinned, clearly enjoying the banter. "What, you want to believe you're blind to everything but ?"

Damon smirked. "Pretty much."

She nudged his side playfully. "What, you want to ask you to go beat him up or sothing?"

Damon shook his head with a chuckle, but there was a hint of seriousness in his tone. "If you asked, I would," he said simply.

Her smile softened, a mix of amusent and affection. "Don't," she said, her voice light but genuine. "You'd probably end his night with one punch."

He smirked again, raising an eyebrow. "Then we agree it's better for everyone if I stay out of it."

Svetlana giggled, resting her head against his shoulder.

"Definitely better."

They walked together, the tension gone, their conversation shifting naturally. "By the way," Svetlana asked, glancing around, "have you seen my dad? You guys didn't co with him."

Damon shrugged. "No clue. I think he saw soone he knew, maybe, not sure, I'm sure he'll be back though."
