Chapter 921: Law Defiance Field

Omniedit: Star Blast

Aura Nova intoned the very mont she finished gathering mana.

From her body, an overwhelming and incomprehensible amount of energy rose, swelling outward and filling the air and space like an overinflated balloon pushed to its absolute limit. The mana did not simply gather, it distorted existence itself, saturating the separate plane until the very concept of emptiness was erased.

Then, without warning, it erupted outward in an apocalyptic madness of ruin and destruction. The resulting blast surged forward with rciless force, slamming into Kingsley point-blank. In that instant, the entirety of the separate plane was drowned in blinding gold and white light, as though no other color, no other existence, dared to manifest at that mont.

The explosion raged with unrestrained violence, tearing apart space, shattering terrain, and reducing everything within its reach to dust and energy. It was an attack ant to erase, not rely destroy.

When the haze of smoke, light, and churning debris finally began to clear, Kingsley was nowhere to be seen. Although it might have seed impossible, he had dodged the attack entirely. At that mont, he was floating high in the sky, his body calm and unscathed as he stared down upon the devastation Aura Nova had created, his gaze filled with nothing but detached contemplation.

As for how Kingsley had been able to evade such a catastrophic strike, he possessed another ability, one that defied conventional movent entirely. It was called Zero-step Displacent. This ability allowed him to move from one point to another without moving at all. It was teleportation in its purest, most absurd form. Reality itself simply agreed that Kingsley had always been at his new location and had never existed at his previous one. There was no transition, no motion, no in-between, only absolute acceptance by the laws of existence.

Before the silence could linger any longer, Aura Nova’s voice rang out once more.

Omniedit: Command: Logic Hijack: Black Hole

An enormous amount of mana exploded outward from her body yet again, far denser and more focused than before. In the very next instant, the space surrounding Kingsley shattered violently, as though reality itself had cracked like glass. From within that fracture, the void manifested, spiraling into existence as a massive vortex. A literal black hole ford around Kingsley, its gravitational force utterly insane as it dragged everything toward its center. Space bent inward, light distorted, and matter scread as it was torn apart and devoured.

The pull was absolute. Even concepts seed to be dragged toward annihilation.

Yet Kingsley remained utterly unbothered. His expression did not change. He simply raised a fist and punched forward with casual certainty.

[Universal Technique: Fist Type: Shattered Reality]

In the very next instant, the black hole halted completely, as though ti itself had been forced to pause. Then, impossibly, it stretched backward from within, its form elongating like rubber being pulled beyond its limit. The vortex trembled violently, its structure destabilizing under an unseen force. A mont later, it exploded outward in a reality-erasing burst of destruction, erasing not only the black hole but the space it had occupied.

Aura Nova’s eyes narrowed as she stared at Kingsley, who had just shattered a black hole with a single punch. Such a feat should not have been easily done. Yet she did not hesitate. Her mana boiled once more, surging violently as she prepared to move into her next attack.

Omniedit: Command: Source Edit: Exist—

Before she could finish speaking, before the attack could even activate, Kingsley was already there.

His movent was ridiculous in every conceivable sense, so utterly beyond reason that Aura Nova’s Omniedit failed to read or comprehend how he had achieved such speed. One mont he had been far above her, and the next he was directly before her, his presence overwhelming.

Kingsley’s lips parted as he spoke calmly.

Law Defiance Field.

The mont those words left his mouth, Aura Nova felt the connection between herself and mana vanish instantly, as though it had never existed to begin with. Her eyes widened in genuine shock as she struggled to comprehend what had just occurred. Kingsley had severed her connection to mana entirely. To her, this was catastrophic. Her Omniedit relied completely on mana, without it, she effectively lost her greatest ability.

The Law Defiance Field allowed Kingsley to render all forms of energy inert. Mana, Intent, blood energy, faith energy, none of it functioned within the field. Every external power source was reduced to nothing more than aningless potential. However, the ability possessed a glaring weakness. Kingsley could only use it once a day, and it lasted for rely two minutes. Furthermore, the field was stationary and could not be moved. Still, two minutes were more than enough for him to end this battle.

Kingsley’s hand tore forward as he moved to kill Aura Nova right then and there. Within the Law Defiance Field, only pure physical combat was permitted, and in that regard, Aura Nova fell far short of him. As Kingsley’s hand moved to sever her neck, space suddenly bent violently, and Aura Nova vanished from her position.

Kingsley’s hand sliced through empty air and fractured space itself, causing it to shatter and crumble. The ground below ruptured, trees toppled and splintered, and shockwaves rippled outward. Kingsley’s eyes narrowed sharply. For the first ti, it was his turn to be shocked. He could not understand how Aura Nova had still managed to move despite having her connection to mana severed.

Aura Nova’s form flickered back into reality high above in the sky. The mont she reappeared, she felt her connection to mana snap back into place, flowing through her once more as though it had never been lost.

She stared down at Kingsley, a confident smirk forming on her lips. Yes, she had been surprised by the effects of his Law Defiance Field, but that did not an she lacked solutions. Throughout most of her life, people had tried to kill her on the Dusk Planet. They had employed countless thods to sever her connection to mana in an attempt to render her Omniedit useless.

Runes, formations, abilities, techniques, Kingsley was far from the first to attempt such a tactic. Recognizing such a massive weakness in herself, it had only been natural that she prepared a counterasure long ago.

Without bothering to explain how she had escaped his grasp, Aura Nova snapped her fingers, her voice echoing with authority.

Omniedit: Command: Overwrite Cascade: Clones.

An enormous amount of mana erupted from Aura Nova’s core like a broken dam that could no longer hold back the flood. Reality itself bent and danced to her will. In the next instant, countless silhouettes began to form, their outlines shimring before solidifying completely. Hundreds of figures erged, each one a perfect clone of Kingsley, each possessing his unique mode and presence.

They surrounded him from every direction, all staring down upon him in eerie silence. Then, without missing a beat, they vanished simultaneously, employing Kingsley’s own movent technique.

Yet Kingsley did not panic. To him, a clone could never surpass the original.

[Universal Technique: Existence Type: Oneself]

This technique had never been part of his original Universal arsenal. He had created it at this very mont simply because he could. His right leg rose calmly before slamming into the earth as he activated the technique. In the next instant, every clone froze mid-motion, as though ti itself had been halted exclusively for them. Then, one by one, they began to crumble, vanishing like dust scattered by the wind, erased completely from existence.
