Capítulo 894: Backstory-2

Aura Nova spent the entire day crying. She locked herself inside her room, shutting out the world as she remained there, weeping endlessly. She had never truly loved anyone before, and yet the one person she had finally co to love, the monts she cherished for three whole years, the affection, the embraces, the kisses, the late-night sex, the shared jokes, the quiet date nights, the plans to travel together, the long discussions about novels and books, everything, literally everything, had all been nothing more than a lie.

What she had spent her entire life running from had quietly taken root and thrived for three years without her ever realizing it. For three whole years, she had been used and taken advantage of without knowing. That night, the Dusk Planet itself seed to resonate with her emotions. The heavens shed tears alongside her, rain pouring endlessly as thunder and lightning cracked violently across the sky, as though the world itself was contemplating striking Alexandra dead where he stood.

Aura Nova’s mind replayed every single word Alexandra had spoken that night, over and over again, rging them seamlessly with every mont they had spent together over the past three years. The contrast between the man she thought she knew and the man revealed by his words was jarring. The two images contradicted each other completely, exposing just how perfect an actor Alexandra had been all along.

Rain had received both pieces of news, the shattering of Aura Nova’s mana core and the breakup. Rage brewed within him the mont he learned of it. He had always tried to be there for Aura Nova as a father. Even though she was not his biological daughter, in his eyes, she was his daughter in every way that mattered. He wanted to kill Alexandra and make the entire world hunt him down. As the strongest man on the Dusk Planet, he possessed the power to do so. Alexandra was nothing more than an insignificant fool in comparison.

Rain’s thoughts shifted toward every instance of help and support he had extended to Alexandra. The more he thought about it, the angrier he beca. Every favor, every silent endorsent, every door he had unknowingly opened for that man now felt like a personal insult. It was only Aura Nova herself who stopped Rain from ending Alexandra’s life that very night.

That night, Aura Nova slept with her head resting on Rain’s lap. Under normal circumstances, this would have been a mont of quiet happiness for him, a rare and precious father-and-daughter mont. Yet he could not find joy in it. Aura Nova had cried herself to sleep, her heart and mana core shattered in one night. How could he possibly feel happiness knowing that?

And just because Aura Nova had stopped him from killing Alexandra did not an Rain’s anger had vanished.

When morning ca, the first thing Rain did was announce the breakup between Aura Nova and Alexandra to the entire Dusk Planet. If he could not kill the fool, then he would make the fool’s life unbearable. Rain made it his life’s mission to ensure this. He would make Alexandra wish he had never been born.

The world was shaken by the news, but sorrow was scarce. Most people were not sad, many were secretly pleased. To them, this was the perfect opportunity. Letters poured in by the thousands. So expressed concern and asked how Aura Nova was coping. Others confessed their love through carefully written words and flowing ink, believing this was finally their chance.

As for Aura Nova, she woke up… perfect.

Despite crying herself to sleep the night before, her face and eyes were flawless, untouched by grief. She glanced down toward her lower abdon, and there her mana core was, stable, complete, and perfectly intact. Her mana rank remained exactly where it should have been, as though nothing had ever happened. She could not help but let out a small laugh. It was not maniacal or deranged, nor the laughter of soone who had lost everything. It was genuine, light, and normal.

If Alexandra had been patient, just a few hours, he could have continued playing his role flawlessly.

Aura Nova’s body had automatically repaired her shattered mana core on its own. That was why she had not panicked when it shattered. That was why she had calmly walked out of training as though nothing had happened before informing Alexandra.

Over the years, Aura Nova’s mana core had shattered multiple tis due to her pushing her Omniedit ability to absurd limits. Each ti, she would wake up the next day completely fine, her mana core restored and her mana rank perfectly stabilized alongside her foundation. She had long since confird that her body instinctively repaired her core without external intervention.

Alexandra, however, knew none of this. Throughout their three-year relationship, her mana core had never shattered. The first ti it did, he ran.

Contrary to what one might expect, Aura Nova did not shut herself away from the world. Instead, she beca more open. She spoke to people more, smiled more, laughed more, and joked more freely. It was during this period that she ford genuine friendships with Charles Evander and Valak.

Valak confessed his feelings to Aura Nova, and like billions of n and won before him, he was rejected. However, as her friend, Aura Nova confided in him about her relationship with Alexandra, and Valak grew to hate Alexandra with every fiber of his being.

The mories the abomination with countless eyes had touched through illusion during its battle with Aura Nova were her mories of Alexandra. That was why Aura Nova tortured the creature so rcilessly, slamming its head against various astral bodies before finally killing it.

Through Alexandra, Aura Nova ca to understand her greatest flaw, she had never truly understood people because she had shut them all out.

Her smiles, jokes, and newfound openness were not an attempt to hide her heartbreak. No, they were genuine. Although Alexandra had broken her heart and taken advantage of her, Aura Nova did not seek revenge, nor did she demand explanations. She accepted her reality for what it was and moved on.

As for Alexandra, he could do nothing but drown in whatever emotions consud him. Even now, he remained alive. Rain had people watching him constantly, ensuring he did not escape through suicide.

Rain did not hesitate to personally inform Alexandra of Aura Nova’s perfect condition the very next day after the break up. The news was delivered directly by him. Rain had vowed to turn the Dusk Planet into Alexandra’s hell, and he would ensure that the only escape left to him was death through old age, a slow, natural end, which by the way, was centuries away.
