Chapter 881: Future Self
"Just give up while you still can," Lucian said from the side with a sigh, shaking his head as he glanced at Aura Nova. "Don’t walk the sa impossible path as Aaaninja."
At Lucian’s words, Aura Nova frowned slightly before letting out a quiet sigh. She didn’t reply to him. Although she remained silent, she already knew she would still challenge Anthony. After all, she had co here for that exact purpose, to challenge Anthony, Aaaninja, and Lucian themselves. She wouldn’t suddenly change her mind just because of a few discouraging words from Lucian, no matter how sincere they might have sounded.
Of course, Aura Nova also understood when to recognize reality. If Lucian’s words eventually proved to be true, then... well, she stopped herself from continuing that line of thought. There was no point in worrying about an outco that had yet to occur. She would cross that bridge when she reached it, just as she always had.
"Sigh... who would have thought you had such little faith and hope in , Lucian," Aaaninja spoke with a tired sigh. "Well, that is to be expected. After all, even you don’t have hope or faith in yourself," he stated calmly as his eyes t Lucian’s.
Lucian simply smiled in response, offering no argunt. He didn’t bother explaining himself or trying to make them understand his perspective. None of them had reincarnated into the story like he had, so they would never truly understand the certainty behind his words. Lucian didn’t trouble himself over it. He would simply sit back, watch everything unfold, and record Anthony beating the absolute crap out of Aaaninja and Aura Nova. When the ti ca, he would make fun of them endlessly.
Aaaninja’s eyes shifted toward Kingsley as he asked, "Do you also think neither Aura Nova nor I can defeat Anthony?"
Kingsley arched an eyebrow in mild confusion, wondering why he was suddenly being dragged into a conversation that had nothing to do with him. Still, he knew he needed to give so form of response.
"I don’t really know," Kingsley replied honestly. "I’ve only just t both of you, and I haven’t seen either of you fight at full power." His answer skillfully dodged the question Aaaninja had posed.
"Nice answer," Aura Nova comnted with a gentle chuckle. "A perfect way to dodge the question without actually giving a reply."
Kingsley simply smiled, having nothing more to add.
"What about you?" Aaaninja asked again, this ti directing his question toward Vega.
Vega didn’t hesitate in the slightest. Her answer was clear-cut, and she made no effort to soften her words. "You will lose, just as you have before," she said plainly. She paused briefly before continuing, her expression unchanged. "Attempting the impossible repeatedly does not suddenly make it possible. It only affects you negatively and adversely," she concluded.
For a mont, both Aaaninja and Aura Nova remained silent. Then, without saying a word, they nodded.
Aaaninja fell deep into thought as he considered Vega’s words. He understood the reality behind them all too well.
’My Temporal abilities constantly remind
that so things are fixed in Ti, even for ,’ he thought. ’Is this one of them?’ The question lingered heavily in his mind. ’There are fewer than ten Existences capable of altering this cosmic fact. Sadly, Ti itself won’t tell
who they are.’ His thoughts flowed endlessly as his mind and eyes passively connected to the River of Ti out of sheer habit.
At that mont, however, a voice bood across the River of Ti and the chaos tethering the void itself.
’You speak wisely, O Celestial of Ti.’
Aaaninja’s thoughts continued calmly. ’But I hope to find out.’
The voice replied once more, this ti in a manner that Aaaninja seed to truly register.
’You shall... in Ti.’
’That’s great,’ Aaaninja replied absentmindedly. But in the very next second, his expression froze. ’Why does this voice sound so familiar... wait!!! It can’t be.’ His eyes tore wide open in sudden recognition.
’Did I just converse with my future self without realizing it?’ Aaaninja thought in shock. It had been so subtle that he hadn’t even noticed. When he first heard the voice within his mind, he had simply assud it was his own inner thoughts responding to him.
Aaaninja imdiately attempted to establish a connection between his present self and his future self, but it was already gone. His future self had rely been passing along the River of Ti. If Aaaninja hadn’t tapped into the River of Ti a few seconds earlier, this encounter would never have occurred.
’Is this even possible?’ he wondered. He had never once considered such a scenario.
As Aaaninja continued thinking to himself, already forming plans on how to recreate that connection with his future self, Lucian’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
"What are you looking so surprised for?" Lucian Darkheart asked as he gazed at the Ti Celestial, who still bore a faint expression of shock.
Aaaninja’s expression imdiately returned to normal. In the next second, a faint smile appeared on his lips. He was about to speak, planning to tell the group that he had just encountered his future self, or at least briefly conversed with him in passing, but before he could say a word, he felt sothing.
And he wasn’t the only one.
The next mont, Anthony’s head snapped upward, his sky-blue eyes gazing toward the cosmic sky above as though he were attempting to peer through sothing unseen. At that mont, his Perfect One skill warned him that soone was gathering information on him.
He wasn’t alone in this realization. Aura Nova, Aaaninja, Lucian, and Kingsley all turned their gazes in the sa direction as Anthony. Although they didn’t possess Anthony’s Perfect One skill, each of them had their own unique thods of perception.
"Hoo... it seems the Angels aren’t giving up," Aura Nova said calmly. None of them needed to think deeply to understand that the Angels were the ones discussing them from another galaxy entirely.
"It seems so..." Anthony replied before calmly shifting his gaze away from the cosmic sky. Whatever information the Angels believed they were gathering on him was utterly useless. The rest of the group was equally unbothered. Each of them possessed more abilities and skills than they could even afford to count.
Personally, they were simply waiting. Waiting for the Twelve-Winged Angels and their God to finally arrive, rather than hiding and observing until the very last mont.
