Hey everyone,

I need to take a quick day off. I really tried to force myself to sit down and write a chapter today, but my head just isn't right for it. I just got back from being out of town for a wedding, and my dog passed away right in my arms.

She waited for to get ho, and it happened so fast I didn't even have ti to get her to the vet. It's hard not to feel guilty and think that if I hadn't been away, maybe I could have saved her.

This is the second ti this has happened to . Two years ago, I lost my other dog in a car accident while I was out of town. Experiencing this again is just too much right now. Honestly, it feels like a bad on every ti I have to travel or leave the house.

I know taking breaks like this back-to-back feels unprofessional, and I'm really sorry for making you guys wait. I dropped a massive 10k word count chapter recently, so I'm hoping that will keep you all fed in the future while I take a day to just breathe and process this.
