Mahito faced off against both gumi and chamaru. Mahito grinned maliciously, his eyes flickering with sadistic delight as he launched attack after attack at the pair. chamaru had already explained to gumi about Mahito's terrifying ability to manipulate souls.
"Don't let him touch you," chamaru had warned gumi earlier. "If he does, he can alter your soul. It's instant death."
"Can't you bring more of your puppets here, I am not the best opponent for this guy here." gumi shouted, he too was only hanging in the battle thanks to his Shikigami's.
"I can't, this is the only working puppet I have at this mont. " chamaru muttered through gritted teeth as he fired a barrage of energy blasts toward Mahito, who effortlessly dodged them. Maybe the only good thing was that Mahito haven't use his Domain yet.
Mahito's laugh echoed through the battlefield. "Oh co on, you already tried one of those, last one was even bigger than this… do you really thing that this will work on " His hand extended unnaturally, reaching out toward gumi, who barely managed to dodge.
Sweat dripped down gumi's brow as he kept his distance from Mahito, trying to think of a plan. But no matter how much they attacked nothing seems to be working on Mahito, the biggest problem here was that none of them were equib to deal damage to Mahito's soul. His ability to reshape his body and heal made him a nearly unbeatable foe.
gumi glanced at chamaru, whose chanical form was battered and sparking.
"I have left with no other alternative now." gumi said quietly to himself, his expression hardening.
He knew summoning the 10th Shikigami was a risk—one that will kill him. But Mahito was too powerful, and this might be their only shot at defeating him.
gumi raised his hand, making the necessary hand signs, his cursed energy flaring as he summoned the one shikigami he had been holding back.
"Eight-Handed Sword Divergent Sila Divine General With This Treasure I Summon…
Mahoraga…"
The ground beneath them rumbled violently as a massive figure erged from the cursed shadows. The towering, armored Mahoraga lood over the battlefield, its spinning wheel overhead casting a shadow of doom. Mahito's grin faltered for a mont, taken aback by the sudden appearance of the cursed beast.
"This curse energy," Mahito muttered. "What is this ?"
Just as Mahoraga materialized, he moved with blinding speed, landing a brutal punch against gumi's side. gumi was flung against the wall, the impact cracking the stone behind him. Blood dripped from his mouth as he struggled to stay conscious.
With gumi out of the way, Mahoraga turned his attention to Mahito. Ready to kill him in one shot. Mahito seeing the power of the Shikigami finally got serious. He wasn't aware of Mahoraga's abilities so earlier he was just vary but now he was more worried. With blinding movent Mahoraga moved, not letting Mahito even able to so much as move form his place.
But just before his attack landed, sothing—soone—intervened.
A flash of movent, faster than either Mahoraga or Mahito could track, cut through the air. Mahito was knocked back, skidding across the ground before he ca to a halt. He looked up, eyes wide in surprise.
Standing between him and Mahoraga was Sukuna.
For a mont, the battlefield went silent, the sheer pressure of Sukuna's presence enough to freeze everyone in place. Even Mahito, with all his arrogance, felt a cold chill run down his spine.
"S-Sukuna?" Mahito stamred, barely able to believe what he was seeing.
Sukuna glanced down at gumi, who was at the verge of death and quickly healed him, not letting the boy die right now. A grin crept across his face, but it wasn't friendly. "Don't touch him," Sukuna said coldly, his voice laced with warning.
Mahito, still stunned, took a step back. "Why are you—"
Sukuna cut him off with a single look. "I don't need to explain myself to you. Get out of my way and stay here, don't move." Sukuna said, knowing fully well that if Mahito got away or either him or gumi died then the ritual will over. So he can't let that happened.
Turning his attention to the monster in front of him, he was intrigued.
"Been a while since I had a good fight. Co on bring it on." Sukuna voiced and rushed at Mahoraga.
Mahoraga was the sa, thought Sukuna wasn't his target as per the ritual was concerned but Sukuna was in the ritual ground adn was standing between Mahoraga and his target. Enough to go ahead and kill him.

"Its strange, why would they just leave this thing and Gojo inside him here and not take it with them ?" Yuta asked with confusion. Though part of the reason was evidence considering that even for him lifting that thing was hard as fuck.
Gojo surely was putting infinite about of weight into it.
"We are not sure but be on your guard." Nanami said while surveying the area. The place was filled with dead people and corpses of the curses.
"What just happened in here ?" Maki wanted to know, the dead troll made sense a little bit but what about those people who were just standing there like statues.
What happened to the people who sealed Gojo in the first place.
"Can you open it and release him ?" Yuta asked to Nanami, he seems like the only person here who might be able to do that.
"I can't. I have zero speciality regarding this kind of curse objects. We have to bring this back to Jujutsu High." Nanami replied.
'Hmmm… then maybe I should give ROFA a shot ? Maybe it will work ?' Yuta ponder and actually was about to do that when everyone there felt the ground trembling.
This trembling was slightly different and more than anything there was a powerful pressure and a presence of curse was lingering.
'This not got…' Yuta mutter with a frown coming, the feeling was familiar but much more powerful.
