"Rika..."
'Does that na ring any bells? Hmm, it seems like I'm forgetting sothing—sothing very important that I'll most likely regret later on.' Yuta tried to rember, but nothing ca to mind.
Even though he couldn't recall anything specific, he knew this wasn't the first ti he'd heard the na. He had a feeling it was significant.
He knew he was missing sothing, but since he couldn't rember it right now, he decided to go with the flow.
Now that he actually had a na to search for, he could start working on finding the real identity of the girl in front of him.
*Ring ring…
*Ring ring…
"Hello?" ca a tired voice from the other end.
"Hello, Sir Nighteye. It's , Yuta."
"...Yuta, where are you? Do you know your teacher has been looking for you?" Nighteye almost shouted, and Yuta could already tell the man was probably dialing another number to inform Aizawa or All Might that he had contacted him.
"Yeah, sorry. At first, I just wanted to visit ho, get so good sleep, and play so gas, but things went sideways. I just need a little help from you, if possible," Yuta replied with a sigh. He honestly didn't want to contact Nighteye, but the man was the only person he could rely on for gathering information.
"Help, huh? What kind of trouble have you gotten yourself into this ti?" Nighteye sounded like he was used to dealing with Yuta's sses, which he was, given that he had handled the aftermath of Yuta's fight with the Nomu during the Stain incident.
"No trouble, nothing like that. I just need a little information. Can you find any missing person reports for a girl nad Rika? She's around five years old. Any information you can provide would really help," Yuta replied, a bit frustrated. Did he really have such a bad reputation that everyone associated him with trouble?
"Hmm... fine, but on one condition," Nighteye responded after a mont of thought.
"What condition?" Yuta asked, frowning. Why did the man have to be so stingy? Couldn't he just help a student in need? Yuta had trained under him, after all. But knowing he needed Nighteye's help, Yuta decided to agree, at least as long as the request wasn't too demanding.
"For your work-study, co back here," Nighteye replied, causing Yuta to fall silent.
He didn't want to return. He had only gone to Nighteye last ti out of curiosity, but after realizing the man was no fun, he preferred soone else—soone like Hawks, or even All Might or Aizawa.
Not to ntion, he still had to show Rika to Aizawa. If she had a quirk that prevented others from seeing her, that had to be fixed.
"Fine, I will," Yuta finally agreed, sighing yet again. He couldn't do anything about it—out of all the people he knew, Nighteye had the best intelligence network.
To help Rika, he had to go along with it.
"Looks like I have to return to UA today. The work studies will start soon; I should be there before that happens," Yuta muttered to himself, then looked at the cute girl gulping down the pancakes he had made for her.
"Did Rika like the pancakes I made?" Yuta smiled and asked, ruffling her hair. She nodded eagerly, clearly wanting more.
"Yup!"
Yuta couldn't tell whether she wanted more pancakes or more head pats.
After breakfast, Yuta took the girl to UA. Rika was very good, obediently following Yuta with a smile on her face.
Along the way, Yuta, of course, got sothing for the little girl.
Upon arriving at UA, Yuta headed straight for Aizawa's office.
.
.
.
"So why am I here, exactly?" Yuta asked, confused. He had been on his way to et Aizawa but sohow ended up in Nezu's office.
In front of him sat Nezu, Aizawa, and All Might. At least the detective wasn't there anymore.
"I think it's pretty clear why. You should have co here directly after getting out of the hospital, young man," Aizawa said, giving him an intimidating look.
Yuta didn't care in the slightest.
"Okay, okay. I have a good reason, but before that, I want to ask you sothing, Sensei. Can you see her?" Yuta asked, pointing at the girl sitting beside him, munching on the candy bar he had bought her.
The others blinked, looking confused. This was enough for Yuta to understand what was happening, and he sighed.
"I know you're confused. Just do a favor and activate your quirk. Look here," Yuta asked Aizawa, pointing at where Rika was sitting.
Both Aizawa and All Might exchanged puzzled glances. They were starting to think Yuta was making things up, but since it was Yuta asking, Aizawa activated his quirk and did as he was told.
The result?
Nothing happened. Aizawa couldn't see anyone there, and neither could the others.
"Yuta..." All Might began, but Yuta interrupted him, looking at the pen on the table.
"Rika, could you please give that pen?" Yuta smiled and asked the girl.
Hearing this, Rika, who was still munching on her candy, nodded excitedly and moved to complete the task.
The others were even more confused now. It almost seed like Yuta was imagining things or had so ntal issue.
But Yuta didn't care. He kept his eyes on the pen as Rika picked it up and brought it back to him.
"Did you see the pen hovering or sothing?" Yuta asked Nezu and the others.
But to his surprise, their eyes were wide with shock.
"How did you do that?" Aizawa asked, clearly confused, and activated his quirk again.
"So you saw it hovering, right?" Yuta asked.
"Hovering? No. The pen disappeared and then reappeared in your hand," Nezu replied.
Yuta blinked at this, finally beginning to understand why Rika's clothes and the candy she was eating weren't visible.
"What in the world is happening?" Yuta couldn't help but question aloud.
