By the ti our match rolled around, Momo had the refined earpieces ready.
I put mine in. “Testing.”
Yaoyorozu touched hers. “I hear you.”
I grinned. “See? Knew you could do it.”
She adjusted her gloves. “Focus. Nezu will not make this easy.”
Yaoyao looked at our fallen classmates. "I missed the battles. Can you recap?"
Kaminari stretched, slumping into his chair. "Man, where do I even start? It was a ss."
Jiro snorted. "Understatent of the year."
Iida adjusted his glasses. "Midoriya and Bakugo against All Might was... intense."
Mina grinned. "Yeah, Bakugo actually worked with Midoriya. Well, kind of."
"Kind of?" I raised a brow.
"He scread the whole ti," Sero added.
Tsuyu nodded. "Ribbit. But they won."
"Only because Midoriya threw himself at All Might like a human sacrifice," Jiro said. "Bakugo was so pissed he almost hit him after they won."
Izuku rubbed the back of his head. "I-It was the best option at the ti!"
Bakugo scoffed. "You're just lucky I didn't leave your useless ass behind."
I waved a hand. "Alright, and the rest?"
Todoroki spoke up. "Shoji and I fought Snipe. He forced us into a corner early, but Shoji used his extra limbs to ss with his aim. We closed the distance and got the cuffs on him."
"Man, that sounds easy," Kirishima said.
Shoji shook his head. "Not really. He anticipated almost everything. We only won because he let us."
"Tokoyami and I went against Ectoplasm," Tsuyu said. "Lots of clones. He almost trapped us, but Dark Shadow disrupted his formation."
Tokoyami nodded. "He adapted quickly. If we hesitated even a little, we would have lost."
"At least you guys got to fight soone fair," Ojiro said. "Iida and I had Power Loader. He turned the whole battlefield into a deathtrap."
Iida sighed. "It was difficult to maneuver, but Ojiro's tail allowed him to navigate better. We coordinated our movents and secured an opening."
Uraraka leaned forward. "Aoyama and I fought Thirteen. Black hole Quirk is terrifying."
Aoyama flicked his cape dramatically. "But we persevered! My laser guided us to victory!"
"Please," Uraraka muttered. "You ran out of power in five minutes, and I had to do most of the work."
Aoyama gasped. "How dare you!"
Mina laughed. "Jiro and I got Present Mic. My ears are still ringing."
Jiro groaned. "Yeah, sa. We had to rely on quick attacks. Too much sound, and we were done for."
Kirishima and Sato exchanged a look.
"Centoss," Kirishima said.
Sato grunted. "Walls. Everywhere."
"How did you win?" Yaoyorozu asked.
Kirishima cracked his knuckles. "We just punched through everything."
I nodded. "Solid strategy."
"Mineta and I got Midnight," Sero muttered.
Momo cackled. "Oh no."
Mineta shuddered. "I never want to go through that again."
Sero shook his head. "We barely made it. Had to knock each other out to stay awake through the Quirk."
"Sounds about right," I muttered.
Yaoyorozu looked at . "We're next."
I rolled my shoulders. "Yeah. Against Nezu."
Kaminari winced. "Oof."
Midoriya frowned. "Be careful. He controls everything in the environnt."
"I know," I said. "We'll manage."
Yaoyorozu nodded. "We have a plan."
Nezu sipped his tea from across the field, looking way too pleased with himself. I cracked my neck.
"Alright, let's get this over with."
The match started.
Nezu imdiately activated the battlefield controls. Heavy machinery whirred to life. Cranes, walls, moving platforms—it was a nightmare.
Yaoyorozu spoke through the earpiece. "We need to move before he traps us."
"Yeah," I muttered, dodging a steel beam that slamd into the ground. "He’s already screwing with us."
Yaoyorozu pulled out a small device. "EMP ready."
"Set it off," I said.
She pressed the button. The air crackled. Lights flickered. The moving parts stuttered and halted.
Nezu’s voice echoed from the speakers. "Oh my! That was unexpected."
I smirked. "Gotcha, rat."
Yaoyorozu pulled out cuffs. "We need to find him before he recovers."
I grimaced. "Wait, why can I still hear him?"
Nezu's voice ca through crystal clear, way too cheerful. "You think you are the only one who can think of Faraday-integrated tech? Hahaha!"
I pinched the bridge of my nose. "Of course he did."
Yaoyorozu clenched her fists. "This complicates things."
"Yeah, no shit." I ducked as a crane arm swung toward . "EMP was a good idea, but this bastard's five steps ahead."
Nezu’s laugh echoed through the speakers. "Oh, my dear students, did you truly believe a simple electromagnetic pulse would be enough to disrupt my systems? I anticipated such a move! And, just in case you get any bright ideas—"
A sudden explosion sent dust and tal flying as the terrain shifted again.
I groaned. "I swear, if this little freak starts narrating our failure like a docuntary, I’m dropkicking him."
Yaoyorozu grabbed my arm. "We need to move! Standing here isn’t an option."
I took off after her, dodging falling debris. "You got anything else up your sleeve?"
She took a deep breath. "We need to change tactics. We won’t outsmart him in a direct confrontation."
"Great. Love hearing that."
Nezu’s voice humd through the speakers. "You must be feeling quite trapped right now! Fret not! I have prepared nurous escape routes. The question is, are you clever enough to find them?"
I turned to Yaoyorozu. "We going for the cuffs or the exit?"
She frowned. "He wants us to go for the exit. Which ans—"
"It’s probably booby-trapped to hell and back."
"Exactly."
I exhaled. "Alright, screw it. Let’s take the risk."
Yaoyorozu looked at like I lost my mind. "What?"
"We run for the exit, make it look like we’re trying to escape. If he focuses on blocking us, he’ll show his hand. Then we hit him where he doesn’t expect."
She hesitated, then nodded. "Alright. But if this fails—"
"It won’t." I grabbed her wrist. "Just keep up."
We sprinted toward the supposed escape route. The ground started shifting again, barricades slamming into place.
Nezu let out a delighted laugh. "Oh, how exciting! You’re actually taking the bait!"
I swerved, barely missing a falling support beam. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, rat bastard."
Yaoyorozu created a grappling hook, firing it at a structure to pull herself over a rising wall. "This is insane!"
"No argunts there!" I vaulted over debris, landing next to her. "You ready?"
She pulled out a handful of smoke grenades. "Always."
I grinned. "Then let’s make this little psychopath work for it."
She tossed the grenades, filling the air with thick smoke.
Nezu clicked his tongue. "Tsk, tsk. How very predictable."
A gust of air blasted through the area, clearing the smoke instantly.
I groaned. "Oh, co on!"
Yaoyorozu’s eyes darted around. "He’s redirecting air vents to counter our tactics."
I clenched my fists. "Dude, do you ever take a damn nap?"
Nezu giggled. "Not when there’s fun to be had!"
Yaoyorozu yanked behind cover as more debris rained down. "We need to lure him into the open."
"Yeah? And how do you suggest we do that? Leave out a bowl of cheese?"
Yaoyorozu ignored , forming sothing in her hands. "If we can force him into an enclosed area, we might be able to limit his mobility. We use the remaining smoke grenades to obscure vision, then collapse a structure around him. If we make it unstable, he will have no choice but to move the way we want him to."
Nezu’s voice ca through the speakers, way too amused. "Oh my, what are you scheming now?"
I clicked my tongue. "Great. He’s already onto us."
Yaoyorozu pulled out a few small charges, handing one to . "Place these at the base of the crane. On my mark, we detonate and create an opening."
I took the charge, but before I could move, Nezu flipped another switch. The crane groaned, tal screeching as it lurched forward.
Yaoyorozu’s eyes widened. "Move!"
We barely dodged as the crane ca crashing down. A cloud of dust kicked up, forcing us to stumble back. Nezu chuckled. "You’ll have to be faster than that!"
I wiped the dust off my face. "Okay, screw this."
Grabbing my bat, I started to run. "Plan B!" I yelled. "You get to the exit just in case!"
Yaoyorozu hesitated for half a second before nodding and moving. I pushed forward, the ground shifting under as Nezu’s traps activated one after another. I kept moving.
[Endless Montum Activated.]
Speed climbed. Debris? I smashed through. Barriers? Vaulted over. The longer I ran, the harder it beca to stop—not that I planned to.
Nezu's voice crackled through the speakers. "Oh my, such reckless abandon! Are you truly prepared for what awaits?"
A crane arm swung down. I ducked under it, boots skidding across the floor. A pile of rubble? Kicked through. The world blurred at the edges as speed built. The system threw out an alert.
[Speed boost: 5%... 10%... 15%...]
Yaoyorozu’s voice ca through the earpiece. "Almost at the exit! What about you?"
"Working on it!" I vaulted over a collapsed platform, feet barely touching the surface before launching off again.
Nezu humd. "You do realize I can predict movent patterns, yes? Speed alone is insufficient."
The walls around shifted, a series of tal barriers rising to cut off. A dead end.
I didn’t slow down.
Bat in hand, I swung full force at the first one. The reinforced steel dented but didn’t break. Fine. I dropped low, pivoted, and slamd my boot against the weakest joint. The panel groaned, buckling just enough for to squeeze through before the next one slamd shut behind .
[Speed boost: 20%...]
A loud CLANG echoed as a robotic turret dropped from the ceiling.
"Oh, co on," I muttered.
It fired. I twisted mid-step, barely missing the rubber round that embedded itself into the floor where my face had been. The turret adjusted its aim, tracking my movent.
Fine. I threw my bat.
The spinning steel slamd into the turret, knocking it sideways just as I reached it. I leaped, grabbed the barrel mid-air, and used it as a springboard to launch forward.
I landed hard, rolled, and grabbed my bat on the way up.
Yaoyorozu's voice ca through again. "Exit's blocked!"
Figures. "Then find another way!"
Nezu chuckled. "Ah, improvisation! A sign of intelligence, or just desperation?"
I ignored him. No ti to argue with a rodent.
More gunfire. This ti, not rubber. Real bullets. I dodged sideways, heart hamring. "Yo, since when was live ammo on the table?"
Nezu’s laughter echoed. "Oh, those are rely high-speed projectiles designed to simulate lethal force! Surely you didn't think I would actually try to kill you?"
"Could’ve fooled !"
Yaoyorozu muttered sothing under her breath before responding. "I’m moving toward the maintenance tunnels. If I disable the power grid, we might create an opening."
"Go for it," I said, ducking under another barrage.
A forklift rolled into view.
Nezu’s voice had way too much enthusiasm. "Surprise!"
I barely dodged as the vehicle swerved, slamming into the wall. It reversed, targeting again.
"Who the hell programd you?" I gritted out, spinning away as the machine adjusted course.
Nezu tsked. "You’d be surprised how much U.A. lets get away with."
The forklift lunged again.
I stopped moving.
Endless Montum fought against , the sudden lack of motion throwing off my balance. The machine closed in. At the last second, I dropped low. It screeched past, tires smoking.
The second it passed, I was moving again, jumping onto the back. The operator’s seat was empty—automated control. Figures.
Fine. I grabbed the wiring, yanked hard, and the machine veered sideways before smashing into a barricade.
[Speed boost: 40%...]
Yaoyorozu’s voice crackled. "Power’s going down in three… two… one—"
Darkness. The entire field shut off.
I exhaled. "Good timing."
Nezu humd. "Oh my. You did think ahead."
tal scraped. A faint whirr in the distance. Then, red ergency lights flickered on.
Nezu sighed. "Clever. But you do realize I account for power failures?"
A section of the ceiling detached.
I barely had ti to react before it fell.
I jumped.
[Speed boost: 55%...]
The ground exploded behind as the debris crashed down.
Yaoyorozu’s voice ca through, rushed. "Exit’s clearing up! What about you?"
"Still alive!"
I landed hard, skidding across the floor.
Nezu sighed dramatically. "I must admit, you two are proving more persistent than expected."
"Yeah? Keep underestimating us."
He laughed. "Oh no, I wouldn’t dream of it."
The floor collapsed.
I cursed, twisting mid-air as I fell. A trapdoor?!
Nezu’s voice was all too pleased. "Checkmate~!"
I wasn’t about to die to a stuffed animal.
I swung the iron I grabbed earlier mid-fall.
It hooked against a stray tal beam. I jerked, montum throwing sideways. My arm nearly dislocated, but I held on.
I swung forward, adjusted my grip, and launched myself toward a ledge.
Barely made it.
I pulled myself up with a grunt. “Yaoyao, wait by the exit. Don’t leave yet.”
Her voice was like I just lost my mind. “Why?”
I grinned. “I’m taking him down.”
She groaned. “We have three minutes left.”
“More than enough.” I took off.
Nezu’s voice rang out. “Oh, how exciting! You’re staying for the encore?”
I ignored him, charging straight ahead. The ground shifted, steel barriers shooting up in my path. I vaulted over one, slid under the next, and kept moving.
[Speed Boost: 60%]
Nezu laughed. “You do realize I control everything in this arena, yes?”
The mont he said that, the platforms beneath collapsed. I jumped, barely catching the edge of a suspended walkway. I swung up, landing in a crouch.
Yaoyorozu’s voice crackled in my earpiece. “What are you doing? The objective is to escape!”
“Yeah, well, objectives change.”
Nezu sighed dramatically. “My, my, such reckless bravery.”
More gunfire. Rubber rounds again this ti, but still fast enough to hurt like hell. I twisted mid-air, grabbed a steel beam, and swung around it to dodge.
[Speed Boost: 70%]
I landed hard and bolted toward the control tower. Nezu had to be sowhere high with a clear view. If I could reach him—
The floor beneath tilted, throwing off balance. I rolled mid-fall, hitting the ground in a crouch. Ahead, a crane arm swung toward at full force.
I ducked. The wind from it nearly took my head off.
[Speed Boost: 100%]
Nezu’s voice humd in my ear. “Oh dear, you’re adapting quite well. But let’s see how you handle—”
I grinned in my mind. 'My base speed stat is 75, with Limit Breaker, it is 225, and now, it is 300!'
[DIPSHIT! 100% MONTUM BONUS, EXCESSIVE SPEED INCREASE WILL TURN INTO ENDURANCE TO PROTECT YOU FROM YOUR STUPIDITY IF THAT IS EVEN POSSIBLE]
'Shut the fuck up!' I ignored the System.
Nezu laughed madly. "I can see you are speeding up, but will it be—"
Before he could finish, I shot up.
(300 Agility: Bullet-dodging reflexes, micro-adjustnts at inhuman speed, and split-second reaction tis. With the base speed already enhanced by Limit Breaker, the montum now exceeds standard human movent physics.)
The battlefield blurred. Turrets adjusted, but I was already gone. A burst of speed sent straight up a support beam, boots barely touching tal before I launched again. A moving crane swung at —I flipped over it, landing on a railing, pushing off before the mounted gun even turned.
Nezu’s voice rang through the speakers. "Oh, fascinating! You’re reaching reaction speeds near the human limit! But tell , what happens when you run out of room?"
I saw it—the overhead platforms shifting, creating a dead-end. I hit the ledge, zero space to jump, every escape route blocked by shifting steel.
[ENDLESS MONTUM TOO HIGH. STOPPING FORCE EXCEEDS SAFE LIMITS. REDIRECT OR FACE ORGAN DAMAGE.]
I turned mid-air. No brakes. No stopping.
Then I saw the rodent.
Nezu sat on a platform above the chaos, legs crossed, sipping his tea like this was all so fun little experint and not a deathtrap built for his personal amusent. His beady eyes locked onto , and I swore I saw the bastard grin.
I grinned back, vaulting myself into the sky like a fucking Superman. I was about to send this little doge straight to the fucking moon.
The system blasted an alert:
[WARNING: MONTUM EXCEEDING SAFE LIMITS. ATMOSPHERIC DRAG GENERATING SUPERHEATED AIR RESISTANCE.]
Like I gave a shit. My fist cocked back, burning from sheer velocity. The air around it warped, superheated from the insane force I had built up. Sparks trailed off my knuckles.
"Galaxy Impact!"
