Image at the End

The room stayed quiet for a mont. Then I said, “I plan to gather Nezu, All Might, and a few trustable heroes to create a front too. In case shit hits the fan.”

Ryukyu and Mirko both looked at like I had finally lost my damn mind.

“You wanna go state within a state? Commission within the Commission?” Mirko asked.

I nodded. “Yeah.”

Mirko whistled, leaning back in her chair. “That is bold.”

Ryukyu wasn’t as entertained. “That is… reckless on a scale I can’t even process.”

“Yeah, well,” I said, leaning against the desk. “So is waiting around for the Commission to stop jerking themselves off while a war brews.”

Ryukyu sighed slowly. “You know they will shut that shit down if they catch wind of it, right? With anyone within it.”

“They would have to prove it exists first.”

Mirko snorted. “Yeah, good luck with that. The mont you start moving, they will know sothing is up. Even if you are careful.”

I shrugged. “Then we move smarter.”

Ryukyu crossed her arms. “Who do you even trust enough for this?”

“Nezu is already in my corner. All Might is obvious. Aizawa, Tsukauchi, maybe Fatgum…”

Mirko tilted her head. “Hawks?”

I shook my head. “Not yet. He is too deep in their shit. We move without him for now.”

Mirko’s smirk faded. “Damn. You really thought this through.”

Ryukyu still looked skeptical. “And what is your role in all this?”

I grinned. “Chief troublemaker.”

She sighed. “That is not reassuring.”

Mirko chuckled. “Nah, I kinda like it. Stir the pot, see what spills.”

Ryukyu shot her a look. “You are encouraging this?”

“Hell yeah. If the Commission wants to play shadow gas, let’s see how they like it when soone else does it better.”

Ryukyu wasn’t convinced. “You are both gonna get yourselves killed.”

“Not if we do it right,” I said.

She rubbed her temple. “How are you even balancing all this? School, hero work, and now building a goddamn resistance?”

I shrugged. “Ti managent.”

Mirko laughed. “You got a death wish, kid.”

“Nah,” I said, stretching. “Just a really fucked-up sense of priorities.”

Ryukyu sighed again, then looked at . “Fine. I won’t stop you. But if this goes sideways, you better have an escape plan.”

“I always do,” I said.

Mirko grinned. “Alright. What is next, mastermind?”

I pulled out my phone, scrolling through my contacts. “First, we gather the right people. Then…” I looked up. “We make sure we are ready before the war starts.”

I scrolled through my ssages, eyes skimming past the endless flood of texts from Toga. Ever since that night we separated, she hadn’t let up. It wasn’t just the usual teasing bullshit either… she was persistent, like a mosquito that found its way inside and refused to die. She texted like we were best friends. Sent pictures of random shit. Street cats. Stupid s. Bloodstains with no context.

Blood Bitch: "You are so an 😘"

Blood Bitch: "I bet you miss ."

Blood Bitch: "Co on, Ryuu~ admit it."

Blood Bitch: "Still mad about that whole ‘join us’ thing?"

Blood Bitch: "You are no fun 😡"

Blood Bitch: "Bet you are reading this right now."

Blood Bitch: "HI RYUU!!"

Blood Bitch: "Ughhh, it is boring without you! 😭"

Blood Bitch: "I almost stabbed a guy today, but it wasn’t fun. He didn’t scream right."

Blood Bitch: "Are you thinking about ? Be honest. I think about you ALL the ti."

Blood Bitch: "I got a new knife! Wanna see?"

Blood Bitch: "Did you know blood tastes different depending on the person? You should let taste yours again."

Blood Bitch: “I am sharpening my knife rn. Thinking of you 🖤🔪”

My grip on the phone tightened. Ever since I saved her that night, she hadn’t changed. If anything, she was worse. Annoying as hell, constantly texting, acting like nothing happened. Like I didn’t look dead in her eyes and tell her I would take her down if she kept pushing.

And yet, everything I had told Mirko and Ryukyu? I got from her. If she wasn’t still in my Party, I would have thought she was screwing over now. But the system didn’t let add anyone actively hostile. aning she wasn’t lying.

Mirko was a few steps ahead, stretching her arms behind her head as we patrolled the streets. Sa shit as usual. So small-ti thugs trying to act tough, a few arrests, and, of course, the occasional fans stopping us for pictures.

“Yo, Mirko!” So guy waved, grinning like an idiot. “You are even hotter in person!”

Mirko rolled her eyes but smirked. “Yeah, yeah. Move along.”

His friend elbowed him. “Bro, you can’t just say that.”

The guy shrugged. “I am just speaking facts.”

I walked up to the guy, already irritated. "You got a mother?"

He looked at like I was so kind of dumbass. "What?"

I poked his chest. "You got a mother?"

The guy groaned. "Yeah? Is this so kinda ‘respect won’ speech? ‘Cause, bro, I already…"

I cut him off. "So that ans your dad railed your mom to have you, right?"

The guy flinched like I had just punched him in the gut.

His friend coughed, choking back a laugh. Mirko snorted but didn’t stop .

I leaned in. "Hey, I am just stating facts. Your mom must have been railed. Multiple tis, probably. If you have siblings, oof, your dad must’ve worn your mom the fuck out. That man was putting in overti."

The dude turned red so fast I thought he was about to pop a blood vessel. "The fuck is wrong with you!?"

"Nothing, man. You started it. You were all confident talking about how hot Mirko is, but suddenly, when we talk about your mom getting her back blown out, it is a problem?"

His friend doubled over, wheezing. "Bro, he got you."

Mirko tilted her head, amused. "Damn. That was brutal."

The guy clenched his fists, still glaring. "Man, fuck you."

I shrugged. "That is between you and your repressed thoughts about your dad’s sex life. Anyway, go wash your mouth out. You are still tasting Dad’s work."

He stord off, dragging his still-laughing friend with him.

Mirko grinned, smacking my back. "Holy shit, you are evil. I love it."

I nodded. "Dumbasses need to learn consequences."

She stretched. "Alright, let’s keep moving before you traumatize another dude."

The patrol continued without much issue. A couple of purse snatchers, a minor scuffle outside a convenience store… nothing that needed more than a firm slap to the head and a shove toward the cops. Mirko was already getting antsy, clearly hoping sothing big would happen.

"Ugh, this is boring," she muttered, cracking her knuckles. "You sure there is nothing better going on?"

"Want to call up the League? Maybe they can throw a villain our way?"

She snorted. "Shit, at least that would make things fun."

As if the universe heard her, a loud crash ca from the next street over. We both turned, already moving toward the sound.

A dude was lying in the middle of the road, groaning, while a woman stood over him, pissed as hell.

"You absolute piece of shit!" she yelled. "You think you can grab my ass and just walk away!?"

I slowed down. "Huh. No villain, just an asshole getting what he deserves."

Mirko nodded. "Yeah. Not our problem."

We stayed where we were, watching the ss unfold… not because it was entertaining, obviously. Strictly professional observation.

A street down, another guy was on the ground, groaning, clutching his gut, while his wife stood over him, still fuming. “You think I wouldn’t find out, huh? Thought you could sneak around with so side chick and co ho like everything is fine?”

He wheezed. “Babe, I…”

A glowing fist ca down, making him scramble back before she could take his head off. A few people gathered, muttering among themselves. So laughed, others just shook their heads.

“I would say he deserves it,” Mirko said, stretching. “Dumbass got caught slipping.”

“Yeah,” I said. “If you are gonna cheat, at least be smart about it.”

She snorted. “Or just don’t cheat.”

“That too.”

The police showed up, and the officers took stock of the situation. They weren’t exactly eager to jump in, considering the guy had already gotten his ass handed to him, but protocol was protocol. One officer approached the woman while another helped the guy to his feet.

Mirko tilted her head. “You think they will book her?”

I shrugged. “Probably take em both in, let them cool off. She also used her Quirk.”

The guy muttered sothing under his breath, which only made his wife lunge at him again. An officer held her back, sighing. “Ma’am, please.”

Mirko clicked her tongue. “Wonder if you would stop em if it was the other way around.”

I glanced at her. “Personally? No. Hero duty? Yeah. But I would gauge it first. If it was just so guy venting, no real heat behind it, I wouldn’t act.”

She huffed. “Cheating deserves punishnt, huh?”

I nodded. “Dumbasses gotta learn sohow.”

She grinned. “Damn. You are a nace.”

The cops got things under control, dragging both of them off to the station. The crowd started to break up, and with nothing else worth sticking around for, we moved on.

Mirko rolled her shoulders. “You ever been cheated on?”

“Nope.”

“You ever cheat?”

“Never.”

She smirked. “You are lying.”

“Swear on my life,” I said. “Not worth the headache. Feelings get ssy. And ssy gets people killed.”

Mirko gave a look, the kind that said she already knew the answer but wanted to hear say it anyway. "I know you are intimate with at least a couple of your classmates. There is also Nejire."

I shrugged. "The sa way you know, they know. I don't cheat, doesn't an I am in a committed relationship. If they want to share this hot ass, who am I to say no?"

Mirko snorted. "Hah! You are a walking HR nightmare. So what? Open relationship?"

I shook my head. "Open relationships require commitnt. I do not. There is an understanding. No one is getting lied to, no one is getting played. We enjoy each other’s company. That is it."

Mirko smirked. "Damn. You really got it like that, huh?"

"Jealous?"

She laughed. "Hell no. I just don’t get how you juggle that many without drama."

I pointed at her. "That right there. Most people think it is about sneaking around or managing schedules. It is really just about being honest. If soone starts catching feelings I can't return, we talk. If they can't handle it, we step back."

She tilted her head. "You ever been in sothing serious?"

I thought about it for a second, then shook my head. "Not really interested in that right now."

"Why?"

I gave her a look. "Why do you think?"

She didn’t argue. Being a hero was already enough of a shitshow without adding relationship drama to it. Ti, safety, the constant risk of getting killed on the job… it was not exactly the kind of life that made serious relationships easy.
