Why did he always treat her like so sort of nuisance? She had always tried to be friendly and accommodating around him, but Ryder’s cold deanor never seed to waver. Yet, he treated Mirian differently. Mirian was an oga too.

Ophilia bit her lips. "The-the Luna’s silverware needs polishing," she stamred, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ryder’s gaze lingered on her for a mont before he nodded curtly. "I’ll get to it," with that, he made a beeline for the kitchen.

Ryder didn’t care about other work in the kitchen, but anything that had to do with his Luna was his business. And he’d instructed them in the past to always inform him if they needed help.

Ophilia hastily followed behind him, her gaze drifted to his broad shoulders as he strode ahead, his movents fluid and purposeful.

She wanted to ask about his injuries, but fear and uncertainty held her back. She was worried about him. Ever since that day, she’d been restless and couldn’t sleep well at night.

When she learned that he left the pack with the Luna and wouldn’t be back any ti soon, Ophilia was heartbroken and wished she could be among the Luna’s crew, just to be by Ryder’s side.

She’d even bribed Zeta Marcus with more portions of food just to give her information that could help her get close to Ryder, but the Zeta only told her to forget him and find soone else, but Ophilia couldn’t. She loved him. A lot and it hurt.

"R– Ryder, how’s your injury?" the words ca out before she could stop herself.

Ryder’s stride didn’t falter. He didn’t turn around, his deep voice low and even. "It’s fine," he said curtly, clearly not wanting to discuss it further.

Ophelia’s heart sank at his dismissive tone, but she couldn’t help but feel a glimr of hope that he’d acknowledged her question. She jogged to his side, trying to et up with his pace, but hell, she couldn’t. She had to keep jogging to stay beside him and she did just that.

"But... you’re still hurting, aren’t you? Your wolf, it..." her voice trailed off when his movent slowed, and for a mont, Ophilia thought he might actually respond, but then he turned to face her.

"You talk too much." His eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze piercing.

Ophilia’s words died on her lips as she t his intense stare. She felt a shiver run down her spine, but she stood her ground, her heart pounding in her chest. For a mont, they just looked at each other, no, he seed to be staring at her vulnerable neck, the air thick with tension.

Then, without another word, Ryder turned back to walking away.

Ophilia’s face burned with embarrassnt, and she knew she’d overstepped. She bit down on her lips as tears clouded her vision. At that mont, rembered what Marcus told her.

Zeta Marcus had said that Ryder didn’t take kindly to people fussing over him. Perhaps, that was why Ryder kept pushing her away. Or, was it because of his alleged relationship with the Luna?

Ophilia didn’t bla him for frolicking with the Luna. Ryder was extrely handso, manly, and charming when he wanted to be (to the people he chose).

There was sothing about him that drew Ophilia and many she-wolves in, but most of them were afraid to approach him.

Yet Ophilia threw her pride aside and approached him. She’d loved him for three years and now, she couldn’t stop even if she wanted to. Even now.

By the ti she arrived in the kitchen, Ryder was polishing the tableware with a soft cloth, his movents thodical and precise. The silverware sparkled in the dim light of the kitchen, and Ophilia could see the care and attention to detail that Ryder was putting into the task.

For a mont, she just watched him, taking in the quiet intensity of the mont. She knew she should probably leave him to it, but her feet seed rooted to the spot, and she couldn’t tear her gaze away from Ryder’s strong hands as he polished the silverware to a brilliant shine.

He looked so sexy.

The thought of him was already making her weak in the knee.

Ophilia leaned on the kitchen wall, her emotions flying around the place and now, her disastrous thoughts had made her go into heat.

Her pheromones spilled into the air, but Ryder seed not to notice.

Ophilia’s face flushed, her heart beat thundering in her heart, mind racing with imagination.

’Those strong hands, how would they feel around her?’ She hugged herself, imagining it was Ryder.

’How could his large palm feel on her breast, when they squeeze and knead them.’ She suppressed a moan as she imagined his hands on her breast, while her hands did the deed.

Ophilia’s gaze remained on Ryder as she did dirty things to herself, all the while, conjuring him in her mind.

Lost in her own delusional world, Ophilia failed to notice another presence standing by the entrance.

The person’s eyes were extrely cold, and at this point, could freeze lakes before winter could.

Reana strode past Ophilia. The kitchen was empty and quiet, save for Ophilia’s ragged breaths as she pleasured herself – her fingers buried inside her, legs spread out and head thrown back with eyes shut tightly.

While every able-bodied ogas were working for the coming winter, this little wimp was trying to seduce her man.

"My Luna, what are you doing here?" Ryder said, setting a spoon aside and rising to his feet as he watched her stride towards him, her body radiating fury.

His eyes flickered to Ophilia. She looked mortified, one leg on a chair, her hand caught in between her legs, face flushed and her pheromones renting the air.

Of course, he perceived it from the mont it started. He knew what she was up to, but he didn’t care and was unaffected by it.

Provided she kept her business out of his personal space, and she didn’t touch him or called his na, she could do whatever she wanted. He didn’t care.

Then, his gaze shifted to his raging volcano, his Luna. And couldn’t help the smile spreading across his lips.

His Luna was jealous.

Her jealousy had always been a possessive thrill for him, and he couldn’t deny the satisfaction he felt knowing she cared that deeply.

Ryder’s eyes locked onto Reana’s, his smile growing wider as he took a step closer to her. "To what do I owe the pleasure, at my work post, Luna?" he asked, his voice low and husky, his tone dripping with amusent.

She stood before him. But instead of answering, she yanked his collar down and Ryder instinctively leaned forward, going for her lips, but suddenly, her face veered from his line of sight, towards his neck and then... pain.

Reana sank her teeth into his neck!
