Arthur moved through the dense forest, his breaths ragged but controlled. The stranger...silent, dangerous...walked beside him, their presence like a shadow that refused to be shaken.

"Where are we going?" Arthur finally asked, voice edged with suspicion.

The stranger smirked but didn’t slow their pace. "Sowhere safe... for now."

Arthur scoffed. "I don’t believe in ’safe’ anymore."

The stranger’s red eyes glead. "Good. That ans you’re finally learning."

Branches snapped beneath Arthur’s boots as he kept moving, his mind spinning with everything he’d learned. Nesis needed his blood. Marius was playing into her hands. And now, he was being hunted by both his own people and the Queen of Darkness herself.

He was running out of options.

"You never told your na," Arthur said, narrowing his eyes.

The stranger chuckled. "Nas are powerful. You should know that by now."

Arthur exhaled sharply. "You’re really going to make drag it out of you?"

A pause. Then, finally..."Call Ezra."

Arthur studied them. "You’re not just so rogue trying to help, are you?"

Ezra tilted their head. "No. I have my own reasons for wanting Nesis dead."

Arthur crossed his arms. "And those reasons are?"

Ezra’s smirk disappeared. "She took everything from . My family. My people. My kingdom." Their voice dropped lower, colder. "And now, she’s coming for yours."

Arthur clenched his fists. "She’s not taking anything from . Not again."

Ezra stepped closer, voice dropping to a whisper. "Then are you ready to do what it takes?"

Arthur didn’t answer right away. The weight of the question settled in his chest.

Then..."Yes."

Ezra’s lips curved into a knowing smile. "Then let’s begin."

At the Wolf King’s palace, the tension was thick enough to suffocate.

The Omnisciense wolves stood in a silent circle, their glowing eyes locked on the King. The air was heavy with power, crackling with unseen forces.

One of them, a towering figure with silver streaks in their fur, stepped forward. "The child is safe for now. But Nesis’s army is growing stronger by the day."

The King’s jaw tightened. "Then we must act first."

His second-in-command, a battle-hardened warrior, stepped forward. "Your Majesty, the alphas are restless. They know what’s happening. Packs are being slaughtered. We need to rally them before it’s too late."

The King exhaled. "And if they refuse?"

A grim silence. Then..."Then we fight alone."

The Omnisciense wolves exchanged glances. One of them spoke, their voice eerily calm. "You won’t have to. The war has already begun."

A flick of their hand, and an image ford in the air...a vision of Nesis standing atop a mountain of bodies, her rogue wolves howling at the blood-red sky.

The King’s eyes darkened. "Then we end this before she takes another step forward."

Deep in the ruins of a long-forgotten battlefield, Nesis stood at the center of a ritual, her arms raised to the heavens.

The air twisted, warped by unnatural forces. Dark energy crackled around her, forming a swirling mass of shadows.

Before her knelt a line of rogue wolves, their eyes blank, their bodies trembling under the weight of her power.

"Swear your loyalty to ," she commanded, her voice like a storm.

One by one, the wolves bared their throats, submitting to their new queen.

Nesis smiled. "Good pets."

Behind her, her second-in-command approached. "The scouts have confird it. Arthur has escaped. But he is not alone."

Nesis’s smile faltered. "Who?"

"A rogue called Ezra. We don’t know their full story, but they are dangerous."

Nesis’s expression darkened. "Then kill them both."

She turned back to the swirling mass of shadows, her voice laced with hunger.

"It’s ti to finish what I started."

Ezra and Arthur had stopped at the edge of a wide cliff, the moon casting an eerie glow over the valley below.

"This is where it begins," Ezra murmured.

Arthur glanced at them. "What do you an?"

Ezra’s red eyes t his. "We’re going to war, Arthur. And you’re going to lead it."

Arthur’s heart pounded.

War.

The ti for running was over.

He turned, staring into the dark horizon, where Nesis’s army was already gathering.

And he knew...there was no turning back now.

"This is it?" Cerius murmured, his gaze fixed on the towering stone archway ahead. The markings on it pulsed faintly, as if responding to their presence.

Haelyn’s heartbeat quickened. "I know this place."

Archer, standing close beside her, frowned. "How? You said you’ve never been here before."

"I just... do." She couldn’t explain it, but the mont she saw the ruins, mories...distant, hazy ones...stirred inside her.

Seraphis ran his fingers over the ancient runes, his face grave. "Lunara’s resting place... We spent centuries searching for it, yet you, a girl who was but a child when she was lost, know it instinctively?"

Haelyn swallowed hard. "I don’t know how, but I feel it. This is where she is."

Artemis, Archer’s twin, narrowed his golden eyes. "Then why didn’t the elders know?"

Seraphis exhaled. "Because so things are not ant for the old to find. So truths only reveal themselves to those who were chosen."

Rowena crossed her arms. "And what exactly was she chosen for?"

"To awaken," Cerius said, his tone final.

The creature that had led them there...an eerie being of shifting shadows and flesh...stopped just short of the entrance.

Archer noticed and turned to it. "Why aren’t you coming?"

The creature chuckled, the sound dry and brittle. "I was never ant to."

Haelyn hesitated. "You brought us all this way, but you can’t enter?"

It shook its head. "This place does not welco . My purpose ends here."

Artemis stared at it, sothing unreadable in his expression. "What are you, really?"

The creature only smirked, stepping back into the shadows. "That, young wolf, is a tale for another ti...if there is one."

And just like that, it was gone.

Haelyn took a deep breath and turned toward the entrance. "Let’s go."

The mont they stepped inside, the air changed. The temple was old, untouched by ti, yet Haelyn could feel sothing alive within its walls.

Then, a voice. Soft, like wind through the trees.

"You have finally co, my child."

A shimring, ethereal wolf erged from the mist.

Haelyn’s breath caught. "Mother?"

The spirit wolf’s eyes glead with an ancient light. "You have wandered, fought, and suffered... but you are ho now."

Archer instinctively stepped closer to Haelyn, sensing the energy shifting around her.

"What is happening to her?" Xander whispered.

Seraphis answered instead. "She is rembering."

The temple walls pulsed as long-forgotten mories flooded into Haelyn’s mind. Visions of Lunara, of a war fought long ago, of a bloodline destined for power.

Then...pain.

A fire ignited inside her, searing through her veins.

Her body lifted off the ground, her silver hair turning pure white, her golden eyes blazing with untad power.

Lightning crackled in the air, and the ground trembled beneath them.

Rowena, Ravi, and Xander stumbled back, shielding their eyes from the blinding glow.

Artemis, watching in stunned silence, clenched his fists. She was changing. And for the first ti, he felt like he was losing her.

Haelyn landed on her feet, her breathing ragged. The energy coursing through her was unlike anything she had ever felt.

Cerius turned to Archer, his voice heavy. "The balance has shifted. You must protect her now more than ever."

Archer t his gaze, his expression unyielding. "I always have."

The air around them darkened. A distant howl echoed through the mountains...Nesis was coming.

And this ti, Haelyn was ready.
