Arthur continued to operate in the shadows.

He knew Ozpin, for all his wisdom, simply didn't possess the kind of power needed to combat this new threat.

This wasn't about Dust or Grimm; it was a deeper ga, a manipulation of reality itself.

His Soul Magic was the key, a subtle force against Salem's insidious "re-balancing."

The next morning, Team RWBY prepared for their reconnaissance mission. Ruby, ever the optimist, was practically vibrating with excitent.

"A new mission! And Arthur said it's a 'challenge to our perceptive abilities'!"

She chirped, adjusting Crescent Rose on her back.

Weiss, still feeling the lingering unease, watched Arthur as he casually strolled by, offering a small, reassuring smile. She knew he understood more than he let on.

As they boarded the bullhead for the outskirts of Vale, Arthur found a mont to speak with Ruby.

"Ruby,"

He said, his voice quiet,

"This mission isn't just about tracking energy signatures. It's about understanding them. Pay close attention to anything that feels… unnatural. Not Grimm, but sothing that just doesn't belong."

Ruby nodded, her silver eyes wide with seriousness.

"I will, Arthur! I'll use my Super Focus!"

Arthur gave a genuine smile.

"Good. And rember, sotis the greatest threats are the ones you can't see."

He placed a hand gently on her shoulder.

"Be careful, Ruby. All of you."

As Team RWBY conducted their reconnaissance, Arthur was already at work.

He materialized discreetly within the heart of Atlas, cloaked in an illusion of normalcy. The city vibrated with a subtle discord, a hum of unraveling energy. The specialist's touch was pervasive, like a slow-acting poison.

Arthur extended his senses, delving into the very soul of Atlas. His Soul Magic, a newly acquired skill, felt raw but imnsely powerful.

He began to perceive the ethereal threads that bound the city together – the collective will of its people, the integrity of its infrastructure, the flow of Dust.

He saw the specialist's dark influence, an insidious twisting of these threads, causing the inexplicable failures Ironwood observed. It was a masterpiece of subtle destruction.

"Clever,"

Arthur murmured, his voice barely a whisper.

"To dismantle from within, without a trace."

He began to weave his own counter-spell. His Soul Magic flowed outwards, a gentle, restorative current.

He wasn't directly fighting the specialist; he was nding the fabric that the specialist sought to tear. It was like patching a hole in a tapestry rather than confronting the one tearing it.

The process was slow, painstaking.

He poured his concentration into it, feeling the intricate dance of energies. As he worked, he could sense the specialist's power faltering, not from direct combat, but from the steady restoration of what was being undone.

Back in her grim fortress, Salem watched her shimring pool. The dark tendrils around Atlas, which had been growing stronger, suddenly began to recede, albeit slowly.

"What is this?"

Salem hissed, her eyes narrowing.

"The 're-balancing' should be accelerating."

Watts checked his console, a look of confusion on his face.

"My Lady, the energy signatures are... stabilizing. It's as if sothing is countering the specialist's influence, but there are no discernible attack patterns. It's too subtle to be Arthur Leywin Stark's usual thods."

Tyrian snarled, his tail lashing furiously.

"He's playing a different ga! He's not fighting, he's... healing it!"

Salem's lips curled into a cold smile.

"So, he reveals a new trick. Very well. If he insists on subtlety, I shall force his hand."

She turned to the pool, her gaze focusing on a specific image – a young woman with a red cloak and silver eyes. Sumr Rose.

"Watts,"

Salem commanded, her voice chillingly calm,

"Prepare the ritual. It is ti to unveil a ghost from the past. A very special ghost."

Watts' eyes widened in understanding.

"My Lady, are you certain? The risk..."

"The risk is worth the reward, Watts,"

Salem interrupted, her gaze burning.

"If Arthur Leywin Stark truly cares for his 'precious princesses', he will surely care for this as well. He will be forced to directly intervene."

Days turned into a week. Atlas was slowly recovering, the inexplicable phenona lessening.

Arthur continued his subtle work, his Soul Magic gradually repairing the damage. He was almost done.

Then, a new, horrifying ripple spread across the world's spiritual fabric. It wasn't the chaotic unraveling of the specialist. This was a direct, focused assault on a soul, drawing it forth, twisting it.

Arthur's eyes snapped open. He knew that signature. It was unmistakable. He felt a primal rage surge within him, eclipsing all thought of subtlety. Salem had crossed a line. She had used Sumr Rose's soul.

He felt the pull, a desperate plea from a tornted spirit. Salem was forcing Sumr's essence to manifest, twisting her mories, using her as bait. The target was clear: Ruby Rose.

He knew Salem's true plan now. She wanted him to reveal himself, to fight publicly, to cause the very chaos she craved. By using Sumr, she was striking at the very heart of his resolve, his connection to Ruby, his desire to protect them.

First she targeted Weiss now Ruby.

Arthur didn't hesitate. All thoughts of maintaining a low profile vanished.

"Salem,"

He growled, his voice a low rumble that vibrated through the very air of his study,

"You've made a grave mistake."

He teleported, appearing instantly above Salem's grim fortress, a beacon of pure, overwhelming power.

His presence shattered the illusion of a normal sky, causing a thunderous crack that echoed for miles. This was no longer about subtle maneuvers. This was about retribution.

Within the fortress, Salem smiled, triumphant.

"He's here," she purred. "Finally, he shows his true face."

Watts and Tyrian watched as the energy readings spiked, dwarfing anything they had ever seen. The air crackled, the very stones of the fortress vibrating.

Arthur descended, his form shifting, partially revealing his Cosmic True Dragon heritage. His eyes glowed with an ethereal light.

He saw the tornt in Sumr's projected soul, her phantom eyes pleading, manipulated by Salem.

"Release her, Salem,"

Arthur's voice bood, resonating with the power of a thousand storms.

"Now."

Salem laughed, a cold, mocking sound.

"Or what, little godling? Will you destroy ? You know you cannot. You are bound by your own desires to protect this fragile world."

As she spoke, two colossal figures began to materialize behind Arthur, their forms shimring with imnse, unimaginable power.

One, an endless expanse of crimson scales, the very embodint of Great Red. The other, a slender, serpentine being, radiating an aura of absolute silence and profound strength – Ophis.

Salem's triumphant smile faltered.

Her eyes widened, a flicker of genuine terror appearing for the first ti. She knew of beings beyond her, but she had underestimated the extent of Arthur's connections.

These were not re Grimm, nor even gods of this realm. These were true Dragon Gods, beings of cosmic might.

"You speak of destruction, Salem,"

Arthur's voice was calm now, utterly chilling.

"But you do not know, I have partners who can show you the true aning of it."

Great Red let out a low rumble, a sound that threatened to tear the fabric of space itself.

Ophis simply stared, her gaze an empty void that promised oblivion. The combined aura of the two Dragon Gods was so imnse, so absolute, that Salem, for the first ti in millennia, felt true fear.

She was a Lv.8 Grimm Empress, but these beings operated on a scale she couldn't comprehend.

They were not just strong; they were fundantal forces of existence.

Watts and Tyrian collapsed, overwheld by the sheer pressure.

"They... they will erase , Not just release from this curse…"

Salem stamred, her voice shaking. She, the immortal queen of Grimm, suddenly realized her utter insignificance.

Her entire plan hinged on Arthur fighting and causing chaos, not on him calling upon primordial cosmic entities who could unmake her existence with a thought.

She was powerful, yes, but against beings who embodied infinity, she was less than a speck of dust.

"You are crucial for my growth, Salem,"

Arthur stated, his voice devoid of emotion, yet carrying the weight of cosmic authority.

"But even a queen can be disciplined when she steps out of line."

His words, chilling in their implication, made it clear that while Salem served a purpose in his journey, he would not tolerate her crossing certain boundaries.

The sheer power radiating from Great Red and Ophis was on the verge of extinguishing Salem entirely. Her immortal essence, which had withstood countless battles, felt as fragile as a leaf in a hurricane.

She knew they could do it. They could erase her from existence, not just destroy her body, but annihilate her very soul, her concept, leaving no trace.
