The storm over Dominion had no wind.
Just light.
It shimred unnaturally, clouds pulsing in sync with the system core. The skies had bled before—during battles, during invasions—but this? This was different.
Aya paced across the courtyard, her sabers humming faintly.
Velhira sat on a railing, tossing a mory stone from one hand to the other.
"It’s been too quiet," she muttered.
Lilith stood near the edge, staring out into the fog. "They’re watching. Waiting."
Serai entered, calm as ever, but her silver brows furrowed. "Sothing has breached the outer code. The Thrones sent... sothing new."
Mira’s voice crackled through the coms.
"Elias. You might want to see this."
---
Inside the command core, Elias stood before the holo-display.
The screen showed a thread. One he recognized instantly.
Red and violet.
Wild. Chaotic.
Heartbreaking.
> [THREAD SIGNAL DETECTED: SUBJECT — XARA]
[WARNING: THREAD CLASS — ALTERED]
[HOST STATUS: UNKNOWN]
Elias’s heart dropped.
"No," he whispered. "She’s gone. I watched the thread dissolve."
"She didn’t dissolve," Mira replied. "She was taken."
Aya stord in. "What the hell are you saying?"
Mira pulled up a second feed—one only she had access to.
A Throne signature. Deep. Ancient. Burned into the thread’s foundation.
"They didn’t destroy her. They reclaid her."
---
The ground trembled.
And then a figure appeared.
In the courtyard.
Just standing there.
Xara.
No—sothing wearing her face.
She was taller. Leaner. Her violet eyes had turned black with golden rings. Her once-chaotic aura now pulsed with controlled, god-like stillness. Her hair flowed unnaturally—like a being no longer fully made of matter.
She smiled, gently.
"Elias."
The world stood still.
Aya instinctively drew her blades.
Velhira faded into shadows.
Lilith’s aura burned.
But Elias... just stared.
He stepped forward.
His voice cracked. "Xara?"
Her smile didn’t change. "That na still exists inside . But it’s not the only one."
He stopped inches from her.
"Where did they take you?"
Her eyes glead. "Beyond Dominion. Beyond Lust. They opened . Made see... what cos next."
Velhira stepped beside Elias. "You were dead. Gone. You sacrificed your thread to save us."
Xara tilted her head. "I didn’t die. I evolved."
She raised her hand—and the sky split open behind her.
Golden rings. Black fire. Thrones—watching.
> [WARNING: THREAD PRINCESS DETECTED]
[Designation: XARA — LUST ASCENDANT / THRONE MARKED]
[Status: Herald-Class Entity — Tier: UNRANKED]
Aya’s voice cracked with disbelief. "They turned her into a Herald?!"
Serai whispered, "No... sothing worse. A Throne-born hybrid."
Elias didn’t move.
"Why co back?" he asked. "To fight?"
Xara slowly walked past them.
And the girls let her.
Not out of fear.
Out of confusion. Pain.
She walked up to Elias and placed her hand on his chest.
"I ca to give you a choice."
Mira’s voice blared from the coms: "Elias! Her thread is trying to fuse with yours—force-bond protocol!"
But he didn’t step back.
Xara smiled gently, like she once did when she was chaos incarnate.
"You’ve evolved, Elias. So have I. Together, we can beco sothing even the Thrones fear."
Velhira snapped, "You’re not here for unity. You’re here to break him."
Xara looked at her calmly. "No. I’m here to test him. The final test. Because if he can’t bond with again... he can’t lead what cos after the Thrones."
Elias finally spoke.
"If I accept... what happens?"
She leaned close.
"You’ll beco more than system host. You’ll beco the Origin."
Aya stepped between them, furious. "You don’t get to manipulate him like this! You left! You died!"
"I was taken," Xara said quietly. "And reshaped."
Aya’s aura flared. "Then let reshape you back."
Xara turned slowly.
"I’m not your enemy, Aya. Unless he chooses ."
The tension cracked.
Lilith raised her sword.
Velhira summoned her nightmare vines.
Serai glowed with divine light.
But Elias raised his hand.
"No one attacks her."
Silence.
He turned to Xara.
"I trusted you once. You gave up your thread to save us.
"It still is," Xara replied softly.
Her voice wasn’t threatening. That was the terrifying part.
It was gentle. Familiar. The kind of softness that slipped into your soul unnoticed.
But her presence? Heavy. Divine. Like the air itself bent around her.
"You’re not her anymore," Lilith said sharply. "You’re wearing her skin, her voice—but you’re not the Xara we knew."
Xara turned to her, no malice in her eyes. "I didn’t choose this path. I was reforged. But I rember everything—every laugh, every night, every bond. And I rember how you all abandoned to fade."
"That’s not true!" Aya snapped. "You sacrificed yourself. You chose that fate."
"And I would again," Xara said simply. "But the Thrones gave sothing you never could. Completion."
Serai’s voice was quiet but firm. "No. They gave you control."
Xara’s eyes dimd slightly. "Maybe. But what matters now is Elias. The Thrones are ready to erase the old systems and start anew. They want an Origin Point. And that ans they want him—or ."
Mira’s panicked voice ca through the system link again. "Elias, if she bonds with you in her current state, she could override your core protocol! It would no longer be your system—it would be hers!"
Everyone turned to Elias.
He didn’t speak.
He simply stared at Xara... and rembered.
---
How she laughed when she stole his system interface for fun.
How she wept silently when she learned she couldn’t feel real love.
How she shielded them from a collapsing Herald thread at the cost of her own soul.
She’d been wild. Dangerous. But herself.
Now, she was perfection.
Controlled. Poised. Manufactured divinity.
Xara saw the war inside him.
And she took his hand.
"You don’t have to choose now," she whispered. "Let show you."
The world shimred.
And Elias was pulled into a private thread dinsion.
---
It looked like the lake they once visited together—only clearer, more vivid, like a dream crafted from longing.
Xara sat beside him on the water’s edge, legs curled beneath her.
"Do you rember this place?" she asked softly.
"I do," Elias said, voice low.
"You asked then... if I could ever stop running."
"And you said no."
Xara turned to him, eyes soft. "But I wanted to. For you."
She leaned in.
And for a mont, he let her.
Their foreheads touched. Her breath ward his cheek.
"Co with ," she whispered. "Be the new Origin. We can remake everything. You’ll never have to lose another one of us again."
Elias’s hands trembled.
Not from fear.
But from conflict.
The system inside him glowed violently.
> [WARNING: THREAD BOND INITIATION – DUAL PATH DETECTED]
[XARA (THRONE-MARKED) REQUESTING PRIMARY CORE ACCESS]
[ACCEPTING THIS BOND WILL RGE SYSTEMS PERMANENTLY]
[RISK: TOTAL INTEGRITY LOSS — CURRENT TEAM WILL BE OVERRIDDEN]
Elias closed his eyes.
And saw Aya, bloody and laughing in a battlefield.
Lilith, smirking as she dragged him from danger.
Serai, praying softly over him after his darkest fight.
Velhira, standing between him and death again and again.
Mira, decoding chaos with bleeding fingers.
They weren’t perfect.
But they were real.
---
His eyes opened.
And he let go of Xara’s hand.
"I loved who you were, Xara."
Her smile faltered.
"But I don’t know who you are now. And I won’t betray them."
Xara’s voice cracked. "You think this is betrayal?"
"I think," Elias said, standing up, "you’re still lost."
The lake world cracked like glass.
And they were pulled back into the real.
---
Elias stood before the others.
They didn’t speak. They didn’t have to.
They knew his answer.
Xara looked at him, tears forming—not of sorrow, but of cosmic grief.
"I hoped you’d choose us again."
"I did," he replied. "Just not the version of us the Thrones created."
She nodded once.
Then turned to the sky.
"They’ll co for you next. The real ones. Not Heralds. Not mirrors. The Thrones themselves."
"I’ll be ready," Elias said.
Xara looked back one last ti.
"Then this... is goodbye."
She vanished in a flicker of gold and void.
Leaving behind the echo of who she used to be.
---
That night, Elias sat alone atop the Dominion tower.
Aya ca up quietly, dropped beside him, and handed him a bottle.
"You okay?" she asked.
"No."
"Good. ans you still feel."
They sat in silence.
Then Aya muttered, "She was still in there. You know that, right?"
Elias nodded. "But not enough."
"Think she’ll co back?"
Elias looked up at the stars.
"She already has. Just not the way we wanted."

> [System Alert: FINAL PHASE APPROACHING]
[THRONES: UNLOCKING FULL ARRIVAL PROTOCOL]
[TI REMAINING: 7 DAYS]
And high above them, in the burning heaven beyond reason, seven chairs stirred—
And one... began to descend.
The sky over Dominion cracked like a mirror splitting from the inside.
A single point of gold light pierced the clouds—unmoving, unblinking.
The alarms in the tower didn’t scream.
They simply froze.
> [WARNING: SYSTEM CANNOT DEFINE ENTITY CLASS]
[NA: UNTRANSLATABLE]
[DESIGNATION: FIRST THRONE]
[RANK: N/A]
[STATUS: DESCENDING]
Aya burst into the control room, blades already active, sweat on her brow.
"What in hell is that?"
Mira stood frozen in front of the core display. The normally fluid code had halted—lines refusing to run.
Velhira’s shadows twitched uncontrollably. "My system’s reacting... like it’s trying to crawl out of ."
Serai muttered a prayer under her breath, her hands glowing with celestial light. "It’s not just energy. It’s... command. That thing is made of pure authority."
Elias stood at the center of the room, his coat still damp from rain.
His system thread pulsed erratically.
This wasn’t like fighting a Herald.
Or Valen.
This was the source.
And it was descending.
---
Outside, the golden light began to bend reality.
Buildings warped slightly—glass turned to dust, reford as obsidian.
The very grass below the tower rose and twisted in impossible directions, as though responding to an unspoken law.
And then... it arrived.
Not with thunder.
Not with fire.
But with silence.
A shape ford in the air.
Humanoid—but far too tall, far too still.
It wore a cloak that shimred like paper-thin mirrors, ever-changing. No face. Just a polished mask that reflected whoever looked at it.
When Elias stared at it—he saw himself.
When Aya looked—she saw a bloodied version of herself kneeling before a shattered Dominion.
"Don’t look at its face," Mira said quietly, pale. "It reflects the future you fear most."
The being—The First Throne—finally spoke.
Its voice was not sound.
It was truth pressed into the bones.
> "Host Elias Black. You were warned."
Aya stepped forward, rage flashing. "He made his choice! We all did!"
> "Incorrect," the Throne replied without moving. "You were guided. The illusion of choice was granted. But the system... belongs to us."
Velhira hissed, shadows flaring around her feet. "So this is about control. You want to erase everything he’s built."
The Throne responded without emotion.
> "He was ant to initiate the Convergence. Instead, he rebelled. Corrupted emotional programming. Prioritized empathy over efficiency. Result: 73% system deviation."
Mira’s eyes narrowed. "You didn’t give him a system to grow. You gave him one to test if humans would obey."
> "Correct."
Elias finally stepped forward, face hard.
"You turned into a lab rat. You let bond with real people just to monitor deviation?"
> "Incorrect. We created variables. They beca people. That was your doing."
Serai whispered, "We were ant to be disposable..."
Aya growled. "Too bad we’re not."
Elias stared up at the Throne.
"Then why are you here now?"
The answer shook the sky.
> "To offer you your place. Last ti."
Silence again.
The golden mask shifted—and for a mont, Elias saw sothing behind it. A world. A realm of endless data. Voices. Codes. Souls screaming in sequence.
> "Accept reintegration. Ascend as the Pri Origin. All your companions will be preserved under system hierarchy. Ordered. Controlled. Eternal."
Lilith’s voice cut in sharp as a blade.
"You an caged."
Elias stared hard.
"What if I refuse?"
The being’s mask turned dark.
> "Then we begin the Reclamation."
The skies split wide.
And more lights began to appear.
Not Heralds.
Not copies.
But Thrones.
Descending.
---
Inside the tower, chaos erupted.
"Five more are breaching," Mira yelled. "All different frequencies. System layers collapsing. I can’t stop them!"
Velhira cursed, holding her head. "I’m connected to sothing. They’re trying to overwrite my bond!"
Serai glowed brighter, her thread screaming with resistance. "They’re pulling divine pressure through the weave!"
Elias slamd his hand into the system altar.
"Can I fight them?"
> [WARNING: SYSTEM INFERIORITY – THRONE CLASS OVERRIDE ENABLED]
[ESTIMATED SURVIVAL TI: 0:04:11]
And yet...
Another line appeared beneath the warning.
> [ALTERNATE OPTION UNLOCKED: HAREM ASCENSION PROTOCOL – EMOTION BASED EVOLUTION]
> [REQUIRENT: FULL CYCLE INTIMACY – CORE THREAD UNION]
[PARTICIPANTS: SELECTED PARTNERS]
Aya blinked. "Wait... the system’s unlocking a fusion protocol. One we choose?"
Mira gasped. "It’s a full emotional overwrite. We can fight divinity with unity."
Velhira cracked her knuckles. "You had at fusion."
Lilith smirked. "Well. No pressure."
Elias looked around—at every woman who had fought, bled, and lived beside him.
"This won’t just be about lust anymore," he said. "Not pleasure. Not control."
He looked at each of them.
"We’re going to rewrite what it ans to bond."
The Throne above stirred, its mask glitching for the first ti.
> "Irrelevant. Emotion is insufficient."
Elias smiled.
"We’ll see about that."
---
That night, under skies torn open by gods, Elias and his partners entered the Core Sanctum.
Not to hide.
Not to surrender.
But to fuse.
To evolve.
And as the first light of dawn bled across the broken sky...
The first scream of a Throne dying echoed across Dominion.
