Xavier narrowed his eyes. "Then why waste ti talking? If I'm going to die, make it quick, it seems you like to talk"
The dragon let out a low, rumbling chuckle. "I enjoy watching my prey squirm first, all of you are like ants to , and I'll take my ti crushing you"
She suddenly lunged forward, faster than Xavier expected.
He barely had ti to react before her claw slashed downward.
He twisted his body, avoiding a direct hit, but the force of the impact sent out a shockwave that cracked the stone floor beneath them. The pressure alone nearly knocked him off balance.
"Shit!!"
Before he could recover, the dragon whipped her tail toward him.
Xavier raised his sword in defense and imdiately infused Mana into his entire body like a coat because he knew there was no way he could dodge, and the mont the tail made contact, a powerful force sent him flying across the room.
He crashed against the ground, rolling several tis before finally digging his sword into the stone to stop himself. His arms ached, and he could feel the sting of internal damage as he coughed up blood.
'Fuck, too fucking powerful [Regeneration]'
Sylve took action imdiately. Slamming his staff into the ground, vines erupted from the floor, twisting toward the dragon's limbs, aiming to restrict her movents, even if just for a second as she prepared a stone spell.
The dragon let out a small hum of amusent before flaring her wings and leaping into the air. The vines barely grazed her feet before she took off.
The Harpy saw her chance. With a sharp cry, she flapped her wings and unleashed a powerful gust of wind at the dragon mid-air. The sudden shift in air pressure destabilized the dragon's flight for a second.
It wasn't much, but it was enough for the dwarf to act as he was already dashing forward while Sylve created a path for him with her stone.
Using the montum from the dragon's forced movent, the dwarf launched himself forward with Sylve's help and swung his hamr upward, aiming for her underbelly.
The impact landed.
A loud THUD echoed through the room as the hamr struck her stomach. For the first ti, the dragon grunted in mild annoyance, but instead of retreating, she retaliated instantly.
Her jaws snapped forward with terrifying speed. The dwarf barely managed to pull back, but the dragon's teeth scraped against his armor, leaving marks in the tal as he landed on the ground.
If he had been even a second slower, she would have torn straight through him; imdiately he landed, he dashed away.
"Good try," she smirked. "But not good enough."
Then, she opened her mouth again, and Xavier knew what was coming.
"Shit!" he shouted.
A powerful stream of fire erupted from her mouth, spreading wide enough to cover nearly half the battlefield.
Sylve reacted quickly, slamming his staff down once more, raising another thick wall of stone. The flas crashed into the barrier, but this ti, instead of just holding back the fire, Sylve infused the stone with light magic, reinforcing it.
The flas blasted against the wall, but the light magic held, preventing the stone from lting as quickly as the first one did.
Even so, Xavier could see cracks forming as he was behind Sylve's wall. He knew it wouldn't last long.
Even with the dragon blasting flas towards Sylve and Xavier, the Dwarf and the Harpy couldn't get close at all.
'She's bound to stop; when she doesn't, I need to get in close; my sword should be able to do a little damage.' Xavier was already calculating his next move.
Now...
Xavier took a deep breath and dashed forward imdiately after the flas stopped. He leaped over the crumbling barrier as he infused Mana into his sword; she was just a little above ground, and with his [Wind Stride], he could close the distance.
Xavier lunged forward with all the speed he could muster and swung for her exposed neck.
The dragon's eyes flicked toward him, and with inhuman reflexes, she moved.
Instead of dodging backward, she rushed forward, closing the distance between them in an instant and catching Xavier unaware. Still, he swung his sword, but it was already too late.
Before his sword could land, she slamd her forehead against him.
The impact was devastating.
Xavier felt his skull rattle as he was sent flying again, crashing into the floor with a harsh thud; even with all the Mana he infused, shielding his body, her attacks were far too strong.
His vision blurred for a second, and he coughed up blood again; he could feel it; his ribs were broken, and the pain he felt at the mont was unimaginable but still.
She didn't even give him a mont to breathe.
Before he could react, the dragon's claw ca down toward him.
Xavier rolled to the side just in ti, avoiding being crushed, but the force of her attack still sent another shockwave through the ground, pushing him further, and imdiately, the dragon flew back up as hundreds of stone spikes sprouted from the ground.
Xavier's breathing was ragged. He used his [Regeneration], but it was taking too long; that was the amount of damage the dragon did with a little headbutt.
Still, only three minutes had passed.
"You're persistent," she mused. "That makes this fun." The dragon spoke as she was hit by another one of the Harpy's wind spells.
"You shouldn't even be here with how weak you are." The dragon inhaled, and the Harpy knew she was about to pour out flas and dashed upwards, but instead of pouring flas, she stopped.
"Too weak, afraid...I can't believe... haven't you had enough? Are you eager to die quickly?" the dragon spoke as the dwarf dashed towards her.
Instead of moving out of the way she stood there, the dwarf glanced towards Sylve, who created a footing, and the dwarf jumped up, aiming at the head.
The dragon had no reason to dodge the attack; the dwarf's attacks were weak, and so was his weapon; he couldn't even get past her scales; the dragon still didn't want a head on her head, so she brought her arms out to stop the attack.
'Exactly what I hoped for, overconfident,' the dwarf smirked as he landed the attack, and imdiately, a loud boom was heard, followed by a thud as the dragon's entire arm was blasted off.
