For soone who's mory is fuzzy, of course they are other things to ask apart from magic, but Ethan was excited.
"Magic sure...well in this world all living beings has Mana, Mana is the life force that everything needs to live, in the old days a certain man discovered how to channel that Mana and use it to cast spells and that is how we got magic" Leia explained and Ethan stood there like a kid listening to a great storyteller.

"Magic has two forms, basic and advance form, and besides not everyone can beco a mage"
"Why is that?" Ethan said.
"So people have a weak affinity to magic so they can't beco mages, like for example" Leia said.
