The pale cloth snapped in the morning wind, marked with the silver crest of Galatea’s family. For a mont, his arms remained around Luvia, his lips still close to her forehead, while her body leaned back against him with a strange stillness.

Luka stared at the banner, hesitating a mont as his thoughts remained clouded. His eyes opened wide. He quickly lifted Luvia off his lap, stroking her plump buttocks and patting them as he did.

"We need to head to the main halls, Luva."

"Nnn... E-Eh?"

She closed her eyes, seemingly enjoying the sudden touch and light smack before his words drew her from the sudden montary delight.

Luvia grabbed his sleeve, yanking him back slightly.

"Why!?"

However, in the distance, the rider’s horse stumbled slightly at the gate, sending the knight flying through the air before he slamd into the dirt.

’That doesn’t seem normal...’

The horse then collapsed, curling up as it appeared to pant heavily.

Luvia’s fingers released his clothes the mont his expression changed. There wasn’t a clingy complaint or question.

She just stopped what she was doing and followed behind him.

"Is there sothing wrong, Master?"

"Most likely. Nevertheless, I do not know what manner of trouble. It seems that sothing happened in Amol."

"I see..."

Before Luka could comfort her, quick steps approached the study door.

"Enter."

Levi opened it and bowed from the threshold. His gaze only paused for the shortest mont when he saw Luvia in Luka’s arms, then moved on as if old stewards had been trained from birth to ignore dangerous matters.

"My Lord, a rider from Amol has arrived."

"Mhm, I noticed. Is it soone from Gerard’s camp?"

"Y-Yes, my Lord, however, it seems the knight has a ssage from Amol Village, not Gerard himself."

Her face twitched for a mont, almost as if she disliked the loss of warmth, but she stepped aside and folded her arms beneath her chest.

The maid outfit she had adjusted after the earlier struggle still looked improper for any common servant. The shortened skirt revealed more of her thighs than it should, and the tight black corset pressed against her dark brown skin, lifting her large breasts in a way no respectable head maid would ever permit.

’But I love it.’

He couldn’t help but love how her glossy brown skin glistened with the faint sheen of sweat covering her chest and thighs.

Luka knew it was not just for provocation or for its own sake, because Luvia still struggled to activate her stealth perfectly while wearing clothes. The least amount of coverage helped her maintain her focus.

’Or so she says...’

The fact that her breasts were almost twice the size of Galatea’s made her abundant sex appeal far too obvious in that outfit.

Still, the effect would cause problems if fools like Cedric were common.

’Another issue to solve later.’

"Bring him to the main hall, ensure he is treated with respect and given a light al and water to recover from the long trip."

"At once, My Lord."

Levi bowed and left without another word.

Luka approached the door with haste, Luvia following behind him with much quieter steps than usual. Her teasing and sarcastic atmosphere had faded, replaced by a silent focus that suited her far more than the earlier trembling maiden act.

"Let’s go, Luvia."

"Yes, Master."

The main hall was already being prepared when Luka arrived.

Two servants carried a small table near the side, while another brought water and a plain wooden plate with bread, cheese and dried at.

The rider had been helped inside by two guards, his cloak stained with dirt from the fall and his face pale beneath the dust.

He tried to kneel the mont he saw Luka enter the room.

"M-M’Lord!"

Luka raised his palm in the air and smiled.

"Remain seated, you have done well."

The rider froze halfway down.

"My Lord?"

"To have rushed here with enough haste that you nearly killed your horse before reaching Babylon. I cannot deny the tension and pressure you’ve been enduring. Sit, enjoy a slow drink and recover yourself while eating. I will not rush you."

The young man swallowed, then lowered himself back onto the bench with visible gratitude. His hands trembled as he took the cup, spilling a little water over his fingers before drinking.

’He’s similar to Zack...’

Sohow, Luka found himself fond of the young knights who looked up to him with sparkling eyes. It didn’t start that way, but after showing his prowess in Amol, most of the forr knights who were doubtful no longer scowled at him.

’I still have a long way to go.’

Luka stood before him, arms folded loosely.

Luvia remained slightly behind his left shoulder.

Unlike Cedric, the knights of Amol knew her identity and just how dangerous this woman was with a blade.

In fact, the first ti they t her was after she almost killed their lord, and thus many of the knights felt hesitant to trust the dark elf. However, Luvia seed to love this and played into their strange mix of fear and resilience.

’Though he seems a little more fearful of her for that...’

His eyes continued to flick towards her more than once, though not with Cedric’s vulgarity but with fear or maybe it was recognition, perhaps. The unease of a man who had seen too many dark elves in his life and wished never to repeat the experience.

"Did you co from Amol Village?"

"Y-Yes, My Lord!"

"Who sent you? I don’t believe you could’ve co from the Village in just a day..."

"Ah... the letter was given to by one of the Amol Wolf Riders as he collapsed. Then, after I showed it to Sir Gerard, he gave the order to rush to Babylon and inform you of the letter, My Lord."

’Strange.... This doesn’t seem normal.’

"Did Gerard read this letter?"

The letter appeared sealed as if untouched or unopened.

To Luka’s question, the knight shook his head and took out a faded, brown parchnt. "This was also handed over, a ssage for Sir Gerard!"

"Then sothing more than repairs has happened back in Amol Village... I hope it’s nothing too big, there isn’t enough ti." His voice trailed off as the rider lowered his cup, watching Luka with shining eyes.

"Yes, My Lord! The letter ntioned the arrival of a group of dark elves wearing strange ceremonial robes and carrying daggers at their waist!"

"Dark Elves?"

Luka’s gaze shifted to Luvia, whose eyes widened as she trembled slightly.

"How many?"

"Seven entered the Village openly, My Lord. Perhaps more waited outside in the Fallen lands with heavy crossbows on their shoulders. Though our scouts could not draw near enough to count them."

"What kind of atmosphere did they have? Did the ssenger ntion anything?"

The rider seed confused by the question.

Luka clarified before the man could stumble.

To most humans, Dark elves were an enemy, no matter how they spoke or acted... the rare tis they wouldn’t fight with one would be eting a female in the brothel.

"Did they co with an aggressive atmosphere, as if coming to fight... or was there a more rchant-like and calm feeling?"

The rider’s throat moved before he mumbled as if adjusting his words.

"At first, the Wolf Rider said they appeared to be aggressive and violent... but despite that atmosphere, they didn’t cause any trouble."

"I see... hand the letter."

Luka took the letter and slowly traced his finger across the pure white paper, a rare and expensive item that only soone of high stature could have.

’Iris must’ve sent this... I can sll the faint hint of flowers on the envelope.’

The seal broke beneath his thumb.

Luka unfolded the letter, his eyes moving across the elegant strokes of ink. The script was too delicate for Gerard and too neat for a re battlefield report. Iris had written it herself, likely in haste, yet even her hurried letters carried the softness of her noble dwarven education.

-

The repairs in Amol are progressing well, my dear Lord Luka.

The wells have been cleared, and the main road can now handle light carts. Sir Gerard’s troops have been a great help, and his n have kept the order, while Zack and the remaining knights have helped calm the villagers.

However, whether we can et the deadline you set is a little worrying.

I will do my best...

-

Luka’s expression remained calm, but his fingers tightened around the paper.

Then he reached the next lines.

-

A group of dark elves entered Amol Village this morning. They did not attack anyone or try to cause trouble... Though every man in the square feared they might.

They wore ceremonial robes and carried daggers, while their leader asked sothing strange...

She asked for the return of their priestess.

At first, I couldn’t quite understand her aning, but then again, Luvia spent so much ti naked that her original garnts must’ve been discarded a while ago.

I didn’t want to cause trouble... but when I gave her na, the woman beca eager to et with Luvia.

Forgive .

Luka stopped reading and glanced at the clueless elf behind him.

While she spent her ti seducing and trying to drag him back into bed, there seed to be a group of Dark Elves seeking her out.

At first, he thought it was stupid.

This perverted woman, a priestess... what a joke!

Luvia was an assassin, a sharp-tongued dark elf who had co to kill him, not so sacred woman hidden behind incense and prayer.

However, then he rembered that Dark elves betrayed common sense.

And the reason for her to beco his apostle might not have been random or so divine luck, but rather because she was in fact a Priestess of the Dark Elves’ Dark Order.

"Hey, Luvia."

"Y-Yes, Master?!"

She stuttered due to his stern voice.

"Are you by chance a priestess of the Dark Order?"
