Amber’s POV

As the ss ends, Glaciel quickly stands and courtesy towards all three of us. Her eyes are shooting daggers towards , but is there sothing else in there as well? The daggers don’t seem real, but more of a play this ti, as I notice a small hint of respect behind.

"Your highnesses, princess. If it’s alright with you, I will take my leave now." She looks to Callus for permission, but again I take the word before the king, much to his irritation I hope.

"It has been a pleasure to be in your charming company this morning, Glaciel. I do hope we will see more of each other in the near future!" I answer with a small bow of my head - a sign of respect from my part. The woman actually smiles, and this one seems genuine.

"It would be an honor to accompany you, princess, throughout the festival whenever the prince will not be able to. I could explain the different costus and rituals." She answered with an unmasked eagerness. I get the feeling she’s wholeheartedly interested in educating instead of belittling - makes wonder. Ignis perks up in my mind, wondering the sa as .

"I don’t think..." Chase says, but I take his hand and shakes my head as he looks in the eyes. A small smile appears on his lips, as he nods to my unspoken statent.

"That would be an honor to us as well, Glaciel. I will mindlink you later, and you and the princess can have so girlti." He says, as he turns his head to the woman. She curtsey again, and nods to before turning around and hurrying to her family who are waiting for her.

Chase takes to a park nearby instead of the castle. I laugh at his giddiness, as he leads the way through the trees to a clearing. Then I gasp at the sight before . On the ground is a blanket with pillows, and a small table. To three sides are trees for privacy, and in front of the blanket is a spectacular view over the kingdom.

"Chase! This is... Wow!" I say, as I stare at the view.

"I know." He says, but he doesn’t look at the view, as his head is lower to . I laugh again.

"Did you do this yourself?" I ask, and he shakes his head.

"Grandpa wise helped ." He replies, as he takes my hand and walks to the blanket. On the table are a lot of different breakfast items - scrambled eggs, egg sunny side up, bacon, sausages, bread, cheese, jam and a lot of different fruit. Drinks are coffee, juice and lemonade. It’s delicious.

"So, I wanted us to have privacy, and was wondering if you could do a barrier just in case?" Chase says, and I nod. I close my eyes, call my magic and create a barrier so no one can hear what we are saying or see that we are here. I don’t want to take any chances. My mother has told to no end "always think of every scenario, and take the worst of them to be the example of your defense." aning, always think of the worst and prepare yourself. Better be protected than dead.

"It’s done." I say and take a sip of juice. This always drained in the past, my elental power being more prominent than my magic. Not the magic part of is up to par with my elent - and that’s going to be fun in the future.

"You said you wanted to tell sothing, and I need to hear what’s been happening behind my back the ti you’ve been here. I know you probably think I’m blind or stupid, but I have noticed so things." Chase says, looking down at his food. He seems ashad.

"Chase, look at ." I say softly, and he lifts his head. "I am not going to reject you, and I’m not angry with you. You had nothing to do with anything, and I don’t bla you." He lets go of a breath, and his shoulders relax.

"Okay, now please tell what it is you wanted to say." Now it’s who is holding a breath. I’m not sure how he will feel about practically outranking him.

"ImthequeenofwitchesandwolvesbutIdidntknowbeforeSelenevisitedtheothernight." I ramble, and he just quirks an eyebrow. I take a deep breath.

"I’m the queen of witches and werewolves, and I didn’t know before Selene visited the other night." I slowly say, searching his eyes for a reaction. This ti he raises both eyebrows.

"You didn’t know?" He asks, and I shake my head.

"Mom didn’t tell she transferred the title." I answer with hurt coursing through . I still have to have this talk with her about why she would do this without my consent. She probably did it in the morning on my birthday before our talk, just in case. She’s done a lot over the years because of ’just in case, honey’, now that I think about it.

"Huh. That seems a bit strange." Chase pondered, before sothing hit him.

"When you say Selene? Do you an the moon goddess, or do you have a friend called that?" I smile, shaking my head.

"Talking about the moon goddess. You don’t seem surprised or disappointed?" I say with a twinkle in my eyes. Chase swallows.

"Does she visit you often? And I’m neither! Rember I’ve been with you since childhood and have always known you’ll be much stronger than . I’m okay with that, as long as you are." He says, but before I can answer the question or statent a silver light erges in the clearing and Flick sticks her head out of my pocket. She rejoined after church without Chase noticing. She’s not good in the morning and opted to stay in bed.

"Here cos trouble, princess. And she’s not alone." Flick says with sounds of trills and whistles. Chase looks at her in confusion, but I shake my head as if to say ’I’ll explain later.’

"She’s talking to you?" He asks, and I nod before focusing on the silver light, which by now has rged with gold.

I stand up, expecting to see Selene, but as Flick said - she’s not alone. Out from the light walks two won; Selene and an older golden version of her, Monica, Ophelia and Keres. Her eyes are purple, her hair silver with red stripes and her nails are black as night. She’s in a golder dress, and her skin shines with the ethereal glow of a goddess. Damn! She’s gorgeous and dangerous.

"Goddesses, what do we owe this pleasure?" I ask as I curtsey. Chase is standing beside now and bows low to the two won. Selene looks at us sheepishly, while the other one looks at with disdain and at Chase with adoration.

"She’s the one you’ve paired with my children?" The unfamiliar one asks, her voice full of a scorching heat. Had I not been a fire elental, I would have reconciled in fear of burning up. This is going to be interesting.
