Chapter 245: Family problems

"So are you a blessed Rank S too?" Noah asked curiously. He never imagined that this little boy was a Rank S blessed, at most he thought he was a Rank C, after all, he appeared in a Rank D fortress.
But Bel's answer surprised Noah. "S Rank? Haha no, I've passed S Rank a long ti ago, I don't know if humanity has a ranking system for my strength, but this is definitely above S Rank." He responded with pride.
Noah was shocked. But before Noah could say anything, Bel continued. "Unfortunately, to co to the human world I had to expend a lot of strength, mainly to not be spotted by the most powerful humans, I didn't want to attract so much attention to co see you. So actually, in my weakened state I shouldn't be stronger than Rank B. I still need to recover."
That answer made Noah sigh a little relieved. He wasn't feeling very comfortable knowing that Bel could so easily destroy the city, and put everyone in danger.
For a mont Noah felt like a simple farr who for so reason had gotten himself a nuclear bomb. It was a weapon he couldn't control, he was afraid of destroying, and even more afraid of unintentionally triggering it.
"Hmm, got it. But why did you want to co et ?" Noah asked.
"One of the other generals who told about you, that he slled my father on you. She even said that she had t you so ti ago, but that you were still very weak back then." Bel replied casually.
Noah was thoughtful to hear this. He had only known one demon so far, which was the demon that controlled the fights in the underworld of Eyrin City. Back then Noah only thought that demon had the strength of a blessed Rank C or at most B, but who knew he would have such overwhelming strength? Fortunately he didn't want to kill Noah.
After that the conversation with Bel beca much more casual, understanding the life of this little demon, explaining to him the life he passed, the two got to know each other very well, to the point that Bel even got a little emotional before saying. "It's comfortable talking to you, it's like my dad gives a little attention."
It squeezed Noah's heart. He knew the pain of losing a father, but he didn't know the pain of having a father who didn't pay attention to himself...
Unconsciously, Noah reached out and touched Bel's black hair, trying to soothe the sad feelings in the little boy's heart, just as he did with Maggy when she felt bad.

Bel stiffened for a split second, as if she'd received a high-voltage shock.
Noah realized he was stroking a demon's head with strength superior to Rank S, but as he removed his hand for fear of irritating Bel, the little boy moved his head along with Noah's hand movent, so that Noah's hand continued in his head.
Noah pretended not to see the small tears running from Bel's eyes, just staying silent and stroking the little boy's head.
Because of Noah's current appearance, which was altered because of Lucifer's descendant's blessing, Noah actually looked like the original Lucifer, and as Bel was Lucifer's son, Noah and Bel's appearance also matched.
Looking from the side, a random person might even think that Noah was Bel's older brother, consoling him for so silly reason, no one would imagine that in that vision was a demon with strength above Rank S and the demon king, who could control all hell, including 7 generals with S Rank strength or more.

Seeing Noah return to the bunker alone, Carlos' mother beca concerned. Because of her maternal instinct, she could feel Bel's sadness, especially after seeing Noah for the first ti, it was as if a dark cloud had ford above his head, to the point where she couldn't even play with Maggy like he was anymore. doing before Noah arrived.
Luckily Noah's snake had stayed to talk to Bel, and slowly Carla had noticed that Bel's sadness was lessening.
She was worried about Noah and Bel fighting for so reason, but seeing the small smirk on Noah's mouth, she finally could relax, knowing that nothing bad had really happened.
"Everything is fine?" Carla asked.
Noah caught Lilith who was gliding across the table from one corner to the other, apparently also nervous about their conversation, and answered. "Yes, it went well, he finally spilled out of the emotions he was feeling, to the point of crying a little bit, but I took care of him and put him to sleep in my old room, is that ok?"
"Of course Noah, that room will always be yours, we always keep that room clean and tidy in case you ca to sleep here soday." Carla replied with a smile.
"Noah, why was Bel sad?" Maggy asked worriedly.
"Neither his father nor his mother paid much attention to him, Maggy, and since he didn't have an older brother close by, he felt very lonely." Noah replied. "How about you help give him affection and attention?"
"Yes yes I will be his big sister and take care of him just like you took care of hehe." She responded excitedly as she made a V symbol with her little fingers.
Noah laughed at that scene, if Maggy knew Bel was 550,000 years old, maybe she would have to call Bel her eldest grandfather? Haha, luckily Bel still considered himself a child, so it would be healthy to let honey play with him.
'I hope I can help this little boy, I know how difficult it is to be alone and he doesn't deserve to go through this...' Noah thought.
