Chapter 213: Sothing's Not Right...

"This is ... a little different than I imagined..." Noah comnted with a little astonishnt while watching the surroundings around where he was.

After lunch, Marcel took Noah to the Khan family headquarters. Unlike what Noah had imagined, where he thought the Khan family was like a big business building where Blessed affiliates would contact managers to get benefits or things like that, the place didn't look like that at all.

Noah felt like he had entered another city. Just as there were luxury condominiums in the city of Eyrin that were closed only to residents, where there were markets, parks, and even shopping centers inside, the Khan family headquarters took this to an even more surprising level.

Like the luxury condominiums, the Khan family ho was also closed to the public. Only accredited persons or persons with authorization could enter there. But the scale was on another level. They had practically made another city in the capital and surrounded that place like a private condominium.

Noah had driven a few miles inside the "condo" and had yet to see an end to it. Just like a city, there were avenues, clothing stores, shoes, toys, restaurants, and cinemas inside - just as if it were another city.

"Surprised, right?" Marcel asked with a hint of pride on his face.

"Yes..." Noah admitted.

"As I told you earlier, the Khan family no longer sees money as relevant. For us, this is just a number that is unlikely to end. So as an attraction for the talents who co here, my ancestors built the Khan Conglorate where the mbers could live without worrying about food or anything like that. All the stores inside here are branches of so franchise that the family has, being able to produce and sell inside here with the minimum possible price, which serves as a basis of security for even the weakest family mbers.

So those Blessed with family and children can be unconcerned about the safety of their family. Children can grow up protected while adults can invade Fortresses carefree. There are few families in the capital that can provide sothing like this for their mbers, and the Khan family is among them.

So much so that it was my great-grandfather who ca up with this idea. As no family had done this before, many talented Blessed started to flood our family, making us move from an average family to one of the top ranking families.

But unfortunately, this was not enough to insure new mbers, since other large families started to copy our strategy and now it is no longer a big differentiator. Of course, the other families cannot compare with the quality of our structure, hehe," Marcel replied with a confident expression.

Noah understood perfectly how tempting it was, especially after he heard about the child safety part. When he looked at little Maggy, Noah felt that a place like this to keep her safe was priceless.

After driving for a few more kiloters, they finally arrived at the place that Marcel said was the Khan family's administrative center. This place was like Noah imagined: a giant building with the Khan family logo emblazoned with a large illuminated sign at the top.

Even though money was trivial for the high-ranking Blessed in the city, Noah still felt the look of admiration from the people around him as they looked at his car. These people were probably related to the Blessed, or even Blessed themselves who had not yet reached a high rank.

"Hey Fred!" Marcel greeted the middle-aged man seated at the reception politely.

The man who previously had a slightly lazy expression while apparently watching so video on the computer screen, when he heard soone calling him, looked with curiosity, but when he saw it was Marcel, he quickly straightened up in his chair and made a professional look that he probably had trained a lot, while greeting back, "Hello, young Master Marcel."

"Hihi." Maggy gave a small laugh at the imdiate difference in posture that the man showed, making him even more embarrassed.

Marcel laughed at Maggy's cute laugh and answered the man, "Don't worry, Fred, I'm not going to tell my dad or grandfather about this. I ca here today for a different purpose."

Hearing this, Fred could not help but relax while wondering what the young master himself had co to attend.

"My friend here, Noah, is looking for a big family. As I know very well about his potential, I want him to join our family," Marcel said with a smile.

Hearing that, Fred's ears perked up. He already understood what it was that he needed to do and was already preparing a professional speech to convince Noah to join their family. "This is great, Lord Noah! If the young master testifies to your level of power, I am happy to welco you here. We just have a little clause-"

But before Fred could finish, Marcel realized that there was a misunderstanding and soon interrupted. "No Fred, I don't want him as a mber of the side branch; I want him to enter the inner circle."

Hearing that, Fred's eyes widened. He didn't expect the young master to say that. "That... Young master... I have no authority to do sothing like that; I would have to call my superior. But are you sure about that? You can only call three people to the inner circle in your entire life! Will you truly use one of those opportunities on him?"

"I have no doubts," Marcel replied with confidence. He knew that the state of the family was currently very critical. Only soone with a lot of talent and a teoric rise could save their family and attract more attention from other talents who had not yet joined any other family. And who better than the young man next to him for that? He had personally followed Noah's progress from a Blessed Rank E to a Blessed Rank C in just under two months. If that wasn't fast, Marcel didn't know what else it could be.

"Very well, Young Master, I will call my superior. Wait just a minute and he will be here soon," Fred said politely.

Noah, while he was looking at Marcel in surprise, didn't know that the young man next to him was putting so much trust in him that way. 'I will do my best to et his expectations...' Noah thought.

It didn't take long for an apparently 50-year-old man to co and look at Noah and Marcel from top to bottom before showing an expression of contempt.

Seeing the man's expression and Marcel's expression that showed so discomfort, Noah guessed that sothing was not right.
