Chapter 138: Level 04
Noah looked at the notification and was surprised. He was already pleased to have received the 2 stat points in mana, as the amount of extra mana he felt in his body was very comfortable.
But receiving a notification saying that he had just leveled up because of an achievent made him montarily lose concentration, which gave Terrence an opportunity to start pecking Noah's head, as if that were what he deserved.
"Ouch, ouch, Terrence! Wait a minute, sothing important has happened!" Noah shouted for Terrence to stop. The bird's pecking had ached before, but now that he had gone up to Level 02 and his strength went up a few points, the pecking was hurting even more, even though Noah's resistance had also gone up.
Fortunately Terrence was smart enough to understand what Noah ant by that. But that didn't stop him from landing on Noah's shoulder and digging his claws into it as hard as he could, although Noah tried to ignore this in order to see what had just happened.

Looking at the achievent, Noah couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised. He did not expect that breaking into a Fortress alone would be so rewarding. It was now not just the amount of extra exp he received and the extra money he would also receive, but he had now received a bonus reward that made him practically jump from Level 03's base directly to Level 04.
As with all the tis he leveled up, Noah was eager to see what skill he had received this ti. Curious to see what the system had gifted him, after all, the last skill he received was not related to combat, but still, it was an extrely useful skill.

Looking at the new skill he had received, Noah couldn't help but keep his mouth open. This ability was extrely dominating. Thinking that he could stand still while watching the Imps he summoned kill the monsters alone, made Noah smile wide.
'Wait ... just like [Hell's Contract], this [Hell's Summon] seems to be more than what was actually written,' Noah thought as he started to analyze the skill.
'This is a little weird… The skill says that the imps can render exp for myself even if they are not ordered by to do anything... Wait... Maybe that ans what I'm thinking?!?! I have to thank that demon the next ti I et him. Damn, the tip he gave will really be useful if this is really what I'm imagining... This will work out even better than I planned, especially since Carlos will be coming over to my house soon and I'll then be able to test so things out.' Noah had a sudden surge of ideas about what to do with this skill.
Another thing he realized was that over ti, the system was gradually making him more independent. Each new skill he received made him less and less dependent on another person to perform a particular task. Not to ntion that with the plan he was developing, perhaps this process could even beco automated.
Excited, Noah wanted to test the new skill he had received. With a single thought, just as the skill described, a small pentagram appeared on the floor, and gradually, as if leaving the earth, or in this case, the stone which was the floor surface of the Boss's cave they were in, a small red imp appeared. His skin color was red, but well stained with dirt. This showed how low the position of these beings was that they were not even considered demons in hell, being created through the demons' mana just to serve.
As Noah imagined, the mind of this little imp was very limited. If you were to compare them side by side, Terrence was several tis smarter than this little monster.
He didn't have a mind of his own, which made him not unlike a golem, apparently.
Noah experinted with simple commands like making him run from side to side, asking him to jump, asking him to crouch, and the little imp did it all very easily imdiately after being commanded.
Even more complicated commands were still things the little imp could follow. When Noah ordered him to run and sorsaults every 3 steps and when he got up from sorsaults to give a little cry and jump back, the imp did it all as if he had thought of doing that himself. But he only stopped when Noah asked him to stop, otherwise he would keep doing it until he hit the wall and had no more room to maneuver.
To test how this little guy was going to do in combat, Noah summoned another imp.
To test vague orders, he ordered one to attack while the other defended. And he was not disappointed with the result; they were doing exactly what he had asked. Of course, they didn't know any battle techniques, so the fight was clearly barbaric. But that alone had already made Noah very excited.
From what he had asured of the strength of the imps while they were fighting, even though they were small, they had a strength that rivaled low tier E Rank monsters. It wasn't much, but their agility paid off, since when they started fighting, Noah saw their small bodies moving very fast and at angles that unprepared humans would not be able to easily counter.
A Fortress filled with these little guys would likely beco a top-rank E Fortress. Alone, they were not a real power, but when Noah imagined humans having to fight 5 of them at the sa ti, even if they were themselves a group of 15, because of the imps' high agility, it would make the fight extrely chaotic. Wizards would not be able to cast spells, while archers would not be able to shoot arrows due to the risk of hitting warriors.
If a normal human could control even a single of these little guys in a Fortress, he could probably easily be considered a Blessed Rank E, since the strength and great agility of these imps, combined with the intelligence and teamwork with humans, would making them a perfect scouter for the team, as well as a rciless killer.
"Hehe ... maybe I will cause a revolution in the Fortress system?" Noah said to himself aloud as he gave an evil laugh.
