Chapter 84: Not interested

"You have no respect for people superior than you, maid. You are wearing clothe I use to clean the floor of my house yet you have the guts to look at

and tell

to leave when I’m here on business with Miss Harrison. Do you know I can make you lose your job for being stupid?" She asked arrogantly with her arms crossed against her chest while regarding Mia in disgust. However, Mia stood stunned in disbelief after hearing who the rude woman was here to et. She was here to et Miss Harrison?

Mia stood stunned for a mont before she rembered her professor’s departing words in the kitchen. ’I will be going out, soone will deliver so things here, look through them and see if they are to your liking if not, tell them to take it back and get you what you want.’ He had told her but his words hadn’t registered in her mind then because she was still struggling to digest the fact that they had just kissed. However, now that she thought about it, he had even asked for her asurent which ant he had intended to buy her dresses just like he had said he would when he took away the dresses Jason had gotten for her that day.

Her heart suddenly ward up at the fact that he was thoughtful enough to get her dresses, she was also relieved that he had no girlfriend and that the rude woman must have mistaken everything. However, she wasn’t going to accept any of the dresses knowing how expensive it must be, he had gifted her a very expensive guitar and even helped her speak to Xavier Galverra about her scholarship, he had offered her a job, he had done so much for her despite not knowing each other for a long ti. She was grateful for everything but she wasn’t going to accept this one. She didn’t want to be indebted to him forever, she wouldn’t be able to ever repay him and feeling indebted to soone was the worst feeling ever.

"Are you deaf or are you just acting stupid to annoy ? I said you should call Miss Harrison and tell her we are here to assist her with the best trending designs. If you don’t do as I instructed I will make you lose your job!" The rude woman scolded harshly while looking around the luxurious house to see if the person they were here to assist would co out of so room.

She didn’t know what was wrong with this stupid maid and why she wasn’t going to call Miss Harrison and was instead standing there like a fool staring at them with a frown on her face. Didn’t she know that maids were supposed to treat the guests with respect? She didn’t even offer them anything to drink from all of those array of expensive wines in the glass cabinet behind her. She would surely make sure the stupid maid lose her job today for being stupid! Thought the rude woman while standing up from the couch.

Mia, who had initially thought to tell the won to leave as she wasn’t interested in any of the dresses, thought otherwise after realizing how rude the woman had been acting the whole ti. She wasn’t going to accept any of the dresses but then she would make sure this pretty face fashion assistant learned to show respect to every human next ti. With that thought, Mia crossed her arms against her chest with an amusing smile playing on her face. "You should really watch how you speak to your client Miss. First you barge into the house without

inviting you in and yet you insult your client as if its your grandfather’s house. Tsk, don’t you think you will lose your job for being disrespectful to your client?"

The rude woman chuckled in disbelief as she arrogantly approach Mia with a smug expression, "You are indeed a stupid maid to dare talk to

like that. If you don’t go and call Miss Harrison, I will_"

"I am Miss Harrison, you are here to assists

and no one else. However you have failed to impress

with any of the things you have." Mia cut her off calmly. She watched as the woman’s arrogant face turned into a confused frown but it was quick to break into a mocking laughter.

"How delusional you are to think you can trick . Go and call Miss Harrison and stop wasting my ti." She remarked mockingly while regarding Mia up and down. It was impossible for soone like this to be the person she had been ordered to assist, her clothes enough was sothing one would get at a second hand market. Her face looked ordinary not to ntion the apron she was wearing. Their fashion house was only known among the influential families and in all of her life, she had only been ordered to assist rich heiress and none of the heiresses would ever wear a plain clothes like the one the maid was wearing. She would puke blood if this plain woman turned out to be Miss Harrison!

Mia, who noticed how the woman was regarding her up and down, smiled innocently then said, "If you don’t believe , I will prove it to you." Saying that, she retrieved her school ID from her bag and showed it to the woman, who narrowed her eyes to see the photo and the na written on the ID. Her arrogant expression and deanour slowly began to fall as she noticed Mia was indeed the person they were ordered here to assist. She swallowed nervously as she looked up at Mia’s face with an awkward smile.

"Do you believe

now, Ms. Arrogant?" Mia raised an amused brow at the nervous sweat that was glistening on the rude woman’s forehead. Wasn’t she being arrogant awhile ago? Now she looked as pale as a sheet.

"Um... Miss, I didn’t an everything I said. I was actually putting on an act when I ca in to impress you. But don’t mind everything I said, oh, your clothes actually looked like one of those causal looks we design in our fashion house." She tried to and the insult she’d thrown at Mia about her clothes being the kind she used to clean the floor of her house. She was willing to say and do anything to impress Mia again, as she couldn’t afford to lose her job if Mia were to complain to their manager about how arrogant and rude she was to a client. Working in a fashion house was a job any woman would kill to have and losing it would be like losing her life.

"What are you two doing still sitting down like lunatics? Get up and show Miss Harrison the designs we brought for her!" She scolded the two interns who were still sitting down even after realising they had ssed up big ti.

The two interns quickly got up and began to bring out the dresses from their packages and other accessories. However, Mia raised her hand to stop them, "You don’t have to stress yourself, I am no longer interested in any of your designs you can pack your things and leave." She gestured towards the door, imnsely pleased that she had an excuse to give to Mr. Bennett if he were to ask her why she didn’t take any of the dresses. She would happily tell him how rude the woman was and how the dresses she brought weren’t sothing she would wear. That way he wouldn’t force her to take any of them and also teach this rude woman a lesson if Mr. Ice Cube complained to the fashion house.
