Arielle is still crying since Tania left. The woman sat on her faithful husband’s lap waiting. It took a long ti for Arielle to calm down.
Because Tania is the closest figure to Arielle. And after Tania’s departure back to Nieverdell, Arielle will not know the latest news from Tania again if they don’t send letters to each other. Arielle couldn’t examine Tania with her own eyes neither.
But what saddens Arielle the most is that no one will hear all of her outpourings. Ronan would of course have listened to all of Arielle’s complaints, but pouring out her heart to Tania was much more reassuring. Because sotis she was still afraid to bother Ronan with her own trivial matters.
Ronan already has a big responsibility on his shoulder. Arielle had promised to be present to lighten the burden but if Arielle ca with the problem again then it would be the sa as Airelle not lightening Ronan’s burden at all.
Therefore Tania is a very influential figure for Arielle. Tania will just listen and then give so input to Arielle. And Arielle had been holding it in for so ti. Arielle has tried to be strong and today is the day when Arielle can no longer contain her feelings.
"After from Thebis, let’s visit Tania in Nieverdell. You don’t have to wait for Irene to co back from the academy. I can’t see you suffer like this," Ronan whispered on top of Arielle’s head, still hugging his wife tightly.
Arielle shook her head still sobbing. "It doesn’t matter. I’m fine. I-I just need a mont. Hiks, I-I’ll be back as usual," answered the woman in between her cries.
Ronan nodded while stroking Arielle’s back lovingly.
"You didn’t even cry like this when you parted with at Birwick," the man teased making Arielle couldn’t help but laugh with her face wet with tears.
"Because that ti I knew I would co back to you. As for Tania... Tania and I will no longer live in the sa place," said Arielle.
"Oooh... I understand."
Arielle wiped her tears briefly. "What do you understand?" Ask Arielle.
Ronan just smiled. Arielle frowned in confusion when Ronan didn’t say anything.
"You don’t have to think about it. I’m just teasing you," Ronan said, pinching Arielle’s blushing cheeks.
Ronan kissed his wife’s hot cheek. He felt it was enough for Arielle to cry. Not that he wanted to forbid Arielle to hold back her feelings but he didn’t want his wife to get tired from crying all the ti. Arielle’s beautiful eyes had long been red and slowly swelling from crying too much.
Arielle also wiped the traces of tears on her face. She thanked Ronan who had faithfully waited for her to calm down. Maybe if there wasn’t that man Arielle might still be crying alone in her room.
"Ronan, thank you for accompanying . Sorry to have to make you wait and watch crying like this."
Ronan smoothed Arielle’s loose hair. "I’m used to seeing you crying, in different situation of course. Nothing new," replied the man.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Don’t you have an important eting after this?" Arielle asked, just rembering that Ronan had another important eting with several lords from the border region.
"Really? Hm... I don’t rember," Ronan replied, pretending to forget his responsibilities so he could spend more ti with Arielle.
"Yes! I rember! You yourself said last night that you had an important eting. You want to strengthen the border area before we go to Thebis, right?"
Ronan pretended to think deeply.
"Ah ... if there was an important eting William would have been looking for a long ti ago. It’s okey, we still have so tis to kill."
Arielle shook her head disapprovingly. "You have to get up!" she ordered.
She pulled Ronan’s arm so that the man stood up and then Arielle pushed Ronan’s body from behind making the man chuckle. Ronan was taking his mask which he put on the table when Arielle pushed him across the table.
"You can’t be like this. You must be ahead of your kingdom’s interests, Ronan!" said Arielle.
Ronan stopped near the door then turned around. The man gave Arielle a sad look.
"Arielle, but you’re everything to . You don’t rember what happened to when I couldn’t get in touch for a month? If you want to be able to focus on carrying out my duties to take care of the kingdom then help by being happy and always by my side."
"Ronan..."
Ronan bent down to give Arielle a gentle kiss on both of her cheeks.
"Then don’t be sad anymore. I can understand why you feel sad. Tania is a very close person to you. But if you are sad then I will never be able to concentrate on work."
Arielle hugged her husband slowly.
"Sorry, I’ve made you worry. But after crying just now, I feel much better. Once again, thank you. I will rest for now then resu my duties."
Ronan gave his wife a last kiss then left the room to continue the important eting he left behind.
Arielle took a break to tidy herself up again. She won’t be lonely, Aie will be back in three days after taking care of her new school. Aie is really serious about her goals. She wants to create a new school that is more inclusive for all people. Teaches so of the more advanced subjects. Not just basic knowledge.
Arielle returns to see Maxieno.
Maxineo raised his eyebrows seeing Arielle’s ssy face.
"Dostic violence?" asked Maxieno who suddenly started the conversation.
"Dostic violence? What does it an?" asked Arielle back confusedly.
Maxieno sighed but returned to his silence on his throne.
"Hm... Maxineo, may I ask a question? This is very important to . If you think we are friends, you will help Maxineo."
"Human, you sure don’t know your place, huh? If you want to think of you as a friend, then do your job," said Maxieno.
Arielle grinned. "Ah... you make a little hurt. But it’s okay. I can understand your disappointnt. I also feel the sa way."
"Are you disappointed too?"
"Yup."
"With yourself?" Maxieno asked.
Arielle nodded again.
Maxieno looked a bit taken aback by Arielle’s answer.
What makes you disappointed in yourself?"
"Hm... because I can’t do my job properly. I haven’t been able to fulfill my promise to you. Besides... I am at a weird situation right now. Like, i can reach sothing bigger but i don’t know the way."
Arielle was talking about the Northendell’s curse. It feels like every information she got was telling her to do sothing but she didn’t know how.
"Dead end?"
"Yup."
Arielle just told that. It’s clear that Maxieno is still curious, but Arielle deliberately doesn’t tell Maxieno. The red-haired man sat back down casually. He just stared at Arielle for a while and then disappeared.
"Fine, I’ll tell you. My husband and I will be visiting another kingdom in one week. I want to find a way to solve this Northendell curse. And... the dragon clan from Thebis tried to contact from a mber of the Thebis kingdom."
"The dragon clan of Thebis?" Maxieno asked dissaprovingly.
"Yes. There are several nas in the past that the people of Northendell have never heard of because it seems that the people of Northendell have erased a lot of history and replaced it with their new history."
"Typical humans and their weak hearts."
Arielle waited for Maxieno to speak again. This is also probably the last ti Arielle will contact Maxieno for so ti to co.
"Long ago, the dragon clan in Thebis was descended from the dragon clan in Birwick. But their ancestors had made a mistake. I don’t want to say it. But it has sothing to do with your ancestry as well. The Birwick dragon clan will never forget that betrayal."
"Betrayal? C-can you tell more, Maxieno?" she begged.
Maxieno smirked cunningly. "The Thebis dragon clan is the cunning group of dragons. I will never think of them as dragons. They are just treacherous sneaky lizards. Arielle, if you et them you’ll be able to see why I hate them too. The trickery of those lizards can destroy you if you not careful enough.."
Arielle stretched out her hand trying to hold Maxieno off but the man just disappeared. Arielle woke up with a gasp. Ronan, as usual, was already at Arielle’s side while tending to the wound that Arielle had made to et with Maxieno.
"Ronan, Maxineo spoke this ti. But I don’t think you going to like what Maxieno said say."
Ronan stopped treating Arielle to wait for his wife’s explanation.
"What’s that?"
"Maxieno said... if we were to be thorough then we would be able to see just how great the trickery of the lizards... ah, no, I an the Thebis dragon clan. Sohow I have a feeling that we should be more careful when we et the dragon clan in Thebis later."
Ronan was silent for a mont. Ronan always had a bad feeling from the start. Princess Cecillia’s notebook is with the dragons of Thebis clan and they also really want to et Arielle.
"We will continue to et with them. I’ll take care of you," said Ronan to reassure his wife once again.
