"Only with a troop from Princess Zohra?" asked Ronan skeptically.
Arielle was the Queen of Northendell. There was no way Ronan would let his wife go without a tight surveillance. Besides, only relying on the troop from another kingdom that he couldn’t fully trust was tantamount to invite the danger itself.
"You can send troops from Northendell if you don’t believe us, Your Majesty," replied Prince Khaled, who could understand the man’s concern for his wife’s safety.
Prince Khaled had never spoken directly to the dragons. Only his aunt did it. However, from the tiredness on his aunt’s face, he could guess that the dragons were constantly pressuring Princess Zohra to ask Arielle to et them.
He didn’t know what kind of relationship the Queen of Northendell and those mythical creatures had.
"For that, I will discuss it with my right hand-man later. There’s also sothing else I want to ask," Ronan said.
Prince Khaled nodded and waited for King Ronan to continue his words.
"Is it true that you and Princess Zohra want to dethrone Al-Nasser?"
After hearing it, Prince Khaled nodded quickly without any hesitation.
The condition of Thebis Royal Palace, as well as the King’s Harem was not conducive. Everyone was focused on the fight for the throne. They didn’t hesitate to kill each other. The princes were willing to sell off their younger siblings to the old geezer from the high-ranking officials. They didn’t care about kinship ties anymore. Power had blinded them.
The sa was the case with Al-Nasser. The man had lost his rationality. He didn’t the slightest bit care about the won in his harem.
"And you will be the king?"
Prince Khaled shook his head.
"I have absolutely no desire and the right to take the position of the king. I’m better suited for a job like this, going on adventures and eting great people like you, Your Majesty. And Princess Zohra has chosen the person who will beco the next king. I don’t know anything about that."
Ronan just nodded. Prince Khaled patiently waited to see if Queen Arielle and King Ronan wanted to ask another question. So far, he had said all that needed to be said. He only had to wait for an answer from the King of Northendell whether the man would accept the proposal from Princess Zohra to bring the Queen of Northendell secretly to Thebis.
"We will discuss this matter with the others first. Prince Khaled, you can rest in the room we have prepared beforehand. You must be exhausted after traveling for days," said Arielle who felt that there was nothing the three of them would talk about anymore.
Arielle stood up, and so did Prince Khaled. Lucas approached them and escorted Prince Khaled to one of the royal guest rooms.
After the two of them left the room, Arielle sat down again, and she looked at Ronan who took off his mask.
"Ah... is there really no other way?" Ronan muttered with a sigh. He still couldn’t accept that he didn’t take part in the plan involving Arielle.
"Ronan, you don’t need to worry. We can definitely do it. Haven’t we been through a lot of obstacles so far?"
"I know. That’s what makes even more worried. I had to face countless nightmares and suffering when I was away from you. I don’t want to repeat it again."
Arielle let out a chuckle. She placed her hands on Ronan’s ears, then spoke using their mate bond.
(Don’t we have this?) Arielle asked inside her head.
Ronan smiled and nodded.
"I think I’ll assign William to go with you, while Lazarus will go with ."
"What about Kael? He’s not coming?"
Ronan touched Arielle’s hands and kissed the back of her hand.
"You know that when I’m away from the palace to do so important work other than war, the palace will always be guarded by Kael. Besides, Wlliam is more trustworthy than Lazarus."
"You still underestimate Lazarus. He has changed a lot, Ronan."
"No... I didn’t underestimate him at all. It’s just that I don’t like his relaxed attitude that takes everything lightly. It’s too risky to let him go with you."
Arielle nodded. "Okay, I trust your decision."
"After this, I will call the four of them and so of the Palace Councils to prepare the gift I should bring for Princess Zohra," said Ronan, groaning helplessly.
"When can we really rest?" asked the man once again.
"A little bit more. I’m sure after our eting with the dragons of Thebis, we’ll have a little extra information. Also... I’m getting more and more curious about this eternal fla. I can’t wait to see it."
"Don’t get too enthusiastic. That eternal fla has power similar to the blazing sun. You already heard how Priest Khan, as well as Princess Zohra, explained how many objects had been burned to ashes after approaching the eternal fla."
Arielle nodded in understanding. The girl got up to continue her activities that day. She still had to visit the three dragon eggs to warm them up.
Still trying to communicate with Maxieno. Arielle returned to the white room in her subconscious. Maxieno sat bored on the throne. His hair looks a bit longer than usual.
"You didn’t cut your hair?" asked Arielle.
"No one did."
Arielle refrained from smiling rembering that this was the first ti Maxieno raised his voice after the several forced etings they had.
"Where’s Otis? Isn’t it Otis who always fixes your hair?"
"Otis is not with . He is busy with his own business. That old man. If he cos back I want to kill him and burn him with my fire."
"What’s Otis doing?" asked Arielle curiously. She was trying to get Maxieno to talk casually with her.
It was proven that if she imdiately asked sothing, the man would imdiately dodge or disappear.
"I don’t know, that little human is very busy with flowers. Saying weird things that make want to puke. He’s also been giving weird looks lately. I’ve tried to dig into his head but that man always covers it tightly.
Arielle didn’t want to say that Maxieno was worried at the mont. It would only offend his ego. Arielle will only choose to be silent.
"I want to say sothing, maybe so ti in the future. I can’t call you like this."
