"Arielle! Arielle! Arielle!"
Arielle and Ronan turned towards the kitchen door when they heard Irene’s voice, which sounded so excited.
Ronan told his wife to see Irene for a mont. Then, Arielle went out and looked for Irene who still called for her.
"Irene? What’s wrong?" Arielle asked while approaching Irene. The closer she was to the young girl, the clearer she could hear the sound of the hurried steps.
Irene ran down the stairs. Arielle, who was worried, asked the young girl to slow down her steps. She was afraid Irene’s stomach would hurt again.
"Co with for a while. You can’t miss seeing this!"
"Eh, but Irene..."
"This is important! Very-very-very important, Arielle. Lord Lazarus told to call you as a witness."
"Lazarus? What else is that man up to?"
Arielle, without thinking twice, imdiately followed Irene who kept forcing her to run. She had even forgotten about Ronan, who was cooking steak for the first ti, and had no idea how to determine the doneness level of the steak.
"Irene... Please walk slower... These stairs are slippery."
"It’s okay, Arielle. This is more important!"
Arielle didn’t know if she should be worried or confused. Because every ti Lazarus’ na was ntioned, sothing bad must have happened. But, why did Irene’s face look so happy and excited?
They arrived at the edge of the harbour. The ships that Arielle had seen this morning had gone out to sea. They floated parallel in the middle of the sea with the main Marine ship in the middle, leading the other ships.
Many people flocked to the harbor, so Arielle and Irene had to break through and advance to the front row after asking permission from the other.
"Irene... be careful..."
The people there were too amazed by what they saw as they didn’t realize that the queen, as well as the royal princess was having a hard ti pushing forward. They pushed each other to get the best view.
"Princess."
When Irene was about to fall in the middle of the crowd, William simultaneously caught the young girl to get back on her feet. Seeing Arielle and Irene, William rushed to push the people there to make way for them.
"William, don’t worry. I’m fine now. What is going on?" asked Arielle in confusion.
Arielle saw Lazarus who seed to be standing nervously at the end of the pier. Under his feet were many red rose petals shaped like hearts.
"Lazarus is going to propose to Aie," William whispered.
"Then, where is Aie?" Arielle’s gaze couldn’t help but sweep around the area as she didn’t find Aie there.
"Her friend will bring her here. It turns out that there is a friend from her academy who married one of the marine troops and lived here. Aie is being held at her friend’s house."
"Then, Lord Kael? Where is he now? Has this been discussed with Kael?"
"I doubt it. Earlier, we parted ways because a soldier reported sothing to Kael. I think the soldier was bribed by Lazarus to hold Kael, because I’m sure Kael will not like this news," said William in length.
So people started to get noisy although there was the queen and princess of this kingdom there. However, because there were no knights or guards accompanying them, the people didn’t distance themselves.
There was only William, so Arielle and the people behind stood quite closely. She could hear so whispers wondering about her. Arielle and William looked at each other. It seed the two of them heard the sa thing.
Arielle imdiately held William’s hand, which was about to take out his sword.
"Don’t! If you do, it will only make sadder."
"But, Your Majesty..."
"I didn’t hear anything," Arielle said with a smile.
Irene could only look at Arielle and William alternately. She also heard the sa thing. A man’s voice said his daughter looked more educated and more fit to be a queen and another man agreed to it. Even so, there were still many noisy voices expressing their admiration for Arielle.
The people on the left slowly backed away, giving a way to the blindfolded Aie, while a woman held her hand. Perhaps that woman was Aie’s old friend. Lazarus turned to the three of them. Arielle raised her thumb to give the man so encouragent.
Aie whose eyes were still closed was brought to face Lazarus. The man lowered one of his legs to kneel before his beloved woman. The atmosphere was getting lively as the people couldn’t hide their gasps of admiration upon seeing Admiral Lazarus was about to propose to a woman. anwhile, Aie asked her friend for an explanation because she heard a lot of people around her.
Not getting any answer, Aie started threatening her old friend that if the woman didn’t want to tell her anything, then she would leave right away. The woman holding Aie instantly backed away.
Feeling that an opportunity arose, Aie opened her eyes and saw Arielle smiling broadly along with many people behind her.
"Akhem!"
Lazarus who was still on his knee cleared his throat so Aie would turn to look at him.
Hearing soone clear their throat, Aie turned to the side. Her body instantly stiffened. She looked at Lazarus with a confused look. After seeing the diamond ring that the man handed to her, Aie knew what was happening at the mont. Then, the confused look on her face gradually turned into a look of surprise.
"La-Lazarus?"
"Aie, I know I have many flaws. I am a childish man. I also know no sha. I often get into trouble and always give you a headache. However, after eting you again, I feel sothing I’ve never felt before. I fell in love at first sight with you, Aie. And after what we’ve been through, with my past stories that I can’t forgive even until now, I want to learn to be a better man."
"Aie. With you, I see my wider future. Much wider than the sea behind ."
"It’s beside," Aie corrected.
"Ah, yes I an beside . You always help fill in every detail of things that I never cared about before, and that little thing turns out to be sothing significant."
"Aie. I know our relationship started in a bad way a dozen years ago, but I want to open a new page with you, Aie. In the right way. Because you are the woman I love."
"Aie, I love you. Will you marry ?"
