William waved his hand then walked down to join Irene and Ronan again, who was sitting on a bench by the side of a busy road.
Ronan then sent William to buy other snacks, drinks, cotton candy, and everything in the square. anwhile, Lazarus had gone to buy the present for Aie.
Irene then looked at an old man selling on the side of the road. He was selling several types of accessories. A sizable wooden board hung from his neck, and he went around offering anyone who passed to buy his accessories.
The man reminded Irene of her running around selling roses when she was once running away from the werewolf clan.
William returned with various foods for Ronan.
"Lord William, can you accompany to see the accessories sold by that man?" Irene asked expectantly.
Ronan turned his head because he didn’t like the closeness his sister and William had shown. However, he couldn’t give any comnt. As long as Irene was within his surveillance range, Ronan would stay where he was and observe her silently.
Irene then looked at so accessories being sold by an old man. William asked why Irene didn’t ask her brother to buy her so more decent jewelry. Irene refused the idea because she wanted to buy the accessories to be given to Aie as a present.
Moreover, Irene only brought a little pocket money with her. The money wouldn’t be enough to buy the real jewelry in the shop. She looked up and gave the tired-looking old man a faint smile.
Besides, Irene also wanted to do the sa thing as William did before.
"I want to buy the green one," she said while pointing to a silver bracelet with many small erald-like faux gems.
The old man gave it to Irene.
Irene gave the money that she put in a blue bag with the sa color as the dress she was wearing. She didn’t forget to give one additional gold coin as a tip.
"Ah, Miss... there is one more gold coin," said the old man.
"Um... It’s a tip?" Irene answered doubtfully.
William laughed from behind.
"You can co back earlier and rest at ho. Also, buy your family warm food. That’s what my sister ans," William added, making the old man’s eyes sparkle and his face lit up.
Irene just smiled when the man thanked her. She wanted to answer, but her stomach was hurt again. She had never felt like this before. This was different from the pain of being hungry.
When Irene returned, she held William’s hand to support her body, which started to feel heavy.
"Princess? Are you okay?" asked William worriedly.
Ronan saw that his sister was walking with difficulty. He then left all the things that William bought earlier behind and caught up with Irene as fast as he could.
"Irene, are you okay?" Ronan hurriedly asked. He was also worried about the child’s condition.
Irene just nodded, trying to reassure the two n in front of her that she was fine. Lazarus hadn’t co back yet, so they couldn’t go back right away. Besides, it was said that there would be fireworks soon. Irene could hold it for a while longer until she saw the fireworks.
Pain was normal for Irene. She had gone through it many tis. Even though what she felt now was different from the usual stomach ache, she believed that she could endure it well.
"Then, let’s go back to the seat earlier. You have to take a little rest while waiting for Lazarus. If you are still in pain, just say it. Don’t hide it from ."
"I understand," answered Irene weakly.
Ronan helped his sister to return to their seats again.
The old man selling accessories saw sothing strange. He briskly tapped William on the shoulder.
"Sir, your sister is bleeding," he said, making William frown.
"Bleeding?" William asked, not understanding what the old man ant.
The man then pointed behind Irene. The skirt had a lot of dark stains on it, and William imdiately panicked.
"Good grief!"
He took Ronan’s hand to stay away from Irene for a while.
"What?"
"Your sister... err.. how do I put it? Monthly period? Monthly guest for won? Monthly? Secret guest? Monthly ti?"
"Huh? What are you saying? Use human language, William."
"No... that’s not what I ant! What I an is... you know, every adult woman goes through this phase every month?"
"I don’t know," Ronan answered honestly.
"Irene is bleeding."
"nstruation, Sir," said the fruit seller’s girl who was standing between William and Ronan.
"Peach?" William asked as he couldn’t believe that the girl was eavesdropping on their secret conversation.
"nstruation? Who? Irene? Now?" Ronan asked William in confirmation.
William then nodded.
"Shit, William! Use the right and clear word! Another shit, we have to get back soon."
"But, Lazarus?"
Ronan stared at the man sharply.
"Is Lazarus important at a ti like this? Arielle was always in pain, and she said the pain was excruciating every ti she had her period. I can’t just let my sister wait here."
William just sighed, and Ronan went back to his sister to take her back. However, Irene asked the sa question as William. It was the reason why they didn’t wait for Lazarus to co back, and Ronan said that Irene needed Arielle’s and Aie’s help right now. Ronan didn’t know how to take care of a nstruating woman.
Even to this day, he still tried to understand Arielle every ti his wife entered that cycle.
"Hey, Peach. Why are you here and eavesdropping on our conversation?" asked William, who didn’t like their conversation being eavesdropped.
"Oh, don’t worry. I was just passing by and saw your sister’s skirt had bloodstains on it. I’m an adult, so I know what to do. I ca to tell you to take her ho imdiately."
William frowned. Looking at the child nad Peach, she didn’t seem to be much older than Irene.
"William!" called Ronan.
"Ah, sorry. Coming!" The man helped carry the various things that Ronan had bought.
