Ronan crossed his arms in front of his chest. Arielle’s expression was like an opened book. It was easy to read her. Even from the first sentence that ca out of her mouth, Ronan knew Arielle wasn’t telling the truth.
The scent that Arielle brought with the scent he slled was similar, but it was definitely different. The scent was sweeter than the one that Arielle had brought in the mortar.
However, strangely enough, the scent worked on the wolf so Ronan could get a chance to co to his consciousness. Although after that, he was defeated and forced to go back to sleep again.
It was an extraordinary experience because perhaps from all descendants of the first king, only Ronan, who got a chance to get his consciousness during the transformation on a full moon night.
"And what flower did you use?" Ronan asked.
"I don’t know the na, but Priest Elis said it was a Snowdrop flower."
"Snowdrop? I haven’t heard that na in a long ti. It is a sacred flower in the North because it is said to carry people’s hopes of seeing spring soon."
Arielle nodded in agreent. Priest Elis had explained to her about the aning of the flower and the history behind it.
"I will discuss this with Priest Elis later."
Arielle gripped her dress tightly. She was nervous because Ronan didn’t bring up the first question about where she got the flower.
The man held both of Arielle’s hands. "I won’t ask. I know you have a reason for not telling the real truth."
Arielle shook her head. "I’m sorry, Ronan. I promise when the ti cos, I will tell you everything. Please trust ."
Ronan cupped Arielle’s face and rubbed her blushing cheeks gently. "Arielle, after what you did last night, you deserve to earn my trust. Not once did I doubt you."
Arielle’s eyes shook a little, brimming with emotion. She was overwheld because Ronan trusted her that much.
"Ronan... I promise."
Ronan smiled broadly. He placed his lips gently on the girl’s lips. After that, Ronan trailed his lips to Arielle’s earlobe, whispering softly. "Before you make a new promise, how about you keep the old one?"

Arielle ca to her room with the mortar that Priest Elis had returned. The full moon night had passed, and they carried out their activities as usual. Ronan rested in his room.
After cleaning herself up, Arielle stopped by to visit her rabbits in the stable. They seed fine even after going through a blizzard last night.
Many priest apprentices lted a pile of snow all over the palace. In the colosseum grounds, several knights repaired the roof of the stable that had been crushed by a large tree trunk. Arielle heard a loud thud last night. Maybe it was because of that.
After visiting her rabbits, Arielle took Riel with her to visit Ronan. It was noon. Ronan had been asleep for a few hours. Arielle thought the man was still asleep. However, when she visited him, Ronan had woken up. He was even fully clothed.
"Where are you going?" Arielle asked with her brow knitted together.
"Back to work, love."
"Eh? But what about the wound on your head?" Arielle asked worriedly.
Ronan removed the bandage that was wrapped around his head, then threw it away. "It’s healed. You don’t have to worry."
Ronan put his mask on. He grabbed Arielle’s back, leading her to go with him to the office.
"Are you really okay?"
Ronan nodded. "Much better than the previous days, sweetheart."
Arielle watched Ronan closely, and the man seed fine. In his office, papers had piled up on the desk. Without much protest, Ronan began to read them one by one.
"You’re going to do all of this?"
Ronan chuckled, then pulled Arielle’s waist to sit on his lap. Riel faithful stayed in the girl’s arms.
"Could anyone do it? William had helped finish so reports. I just have to do the rest."
Arielle also read the report. One by one, she studied what Ronan was doing. Ronan also taught Arielle about several things, starting from solving the problem in the neutral area, which beca Archie’s responsibility, to financial reports related to the coal trade.
Ronan also said that they still depended on South for spices, because their production was very limited in the North. Arielle learned a lot of things, and she realized that becoming a king wasn’t an easy job.
Sotis, even trivial things such as the permission of entering the kingdom must be with the permission of the king.
No wonder Ronan rarely rested. The papers on the desk kept piling up. Just as Ronan had finished a few things, William or the other palace officials ca with more reports.
Arielle’s eyes were fixed on the financial report of the cathedral. She read it one by one. Arielle recognized so of the funds that had been taught by the chamberlain, but there were still many types of funds she had not yet learned.
"I will go back to my room to study. I don’t want to bother you," Arielle said, planning to go back to study, so that she would know what she had to do when she beca a queen.
"Hmm? Why don’t you study here? Isn’t it your day off?" Ronan asked.
Arielle raised her index finger. "Having a day off doesn’t an I should relax. It’s actually a good ti to learn other things. So, if there’s sothing I don’t understand, I can ask the teachers at our next eting. That way, the learning process will be easier."
"Oh... then just study here. We haven’t studied together in a long ti."
"No-no, I’ll bother you, and Riel is here too. We don’t want to disturb your work."
Ronan put down his pen, then gently pulled Arielle’s cheek. "I’ve been through all kinds of distractions from the invasion of an uninvited rabbit to the whimper of a baby. So you and this little thing are not a big deal to ."
Arielle chuckled, rembering the riots she often brought unconsciously. Ronan’s offer wasn’t bad either. By studying together, it ant that Arielle had the opportunity to ask questions she didn’t understand, and her learning progress could be faster when she t her teacher again.
"Then, I’ll take my book for a bit! I will leave Riel with you!"
